OK, time to hit the pavement....be back later..........:wave2:

I won't even think about paying off the BOB until a year from now. The deposit is due next month on the Disney Visa, but I won't pay off until about 100 days out.

I'll have another deposit for a cruise to nowhere after the repo, so that's another $750. I always seem to have 2 open cruises going at a time.

Congrats though Steve for getting to the half way point.

When I was working my way through the posts on the DS I noticed that the Disneyland Hotel is about to be refurbished of rebuilt even. We're supposed to be staying there in August. I hope I still have a room come the 15th!:scared1:

Do they still do Beer Tasting onboard?

If so, I'd like to do that. Never done that before. I don't think I could handle martini or wine tasting. I'd be completely intoxicated by the end.

Yes they do two sessions and the beers are different at each session.

I should be getting my free passporter any day now. A tip I sent up that got selected for the newsletter also made it into the book. They offered me a free book for just getting in the newsletter. :cool1:

Got mine the other day and there are soom great additions for the repo.

Good morning/afternoon all!

I survived another day diet-wise yesterday, but didn't get any exercise in. :headache:

I feel a head cold coming on, but I'm hoping if I take enough advil cold & sinus it will go away quickly.

Melody, there is a beer tasting on board, and my DH did it, but he said he liked the wine tasting better.

Wine tasting - 6 wines and a champagne (correct, Karen? Rose?)
Beer tasting - 4 beers

He also said the accompanying lecture/education portion was better for the wine tasting than the beer tasting. But, if you like beer, it may be worth a go.

I didn't know the beers were different at each session....hmmm....I wonder if you could find out ahead of time what the beers will be?

Overall Pete like the wine tasting better, but he DID like being introduced to Boddington's!

I told you, you could come with our group. :thumbsup2

Is Tuna sure he doesn't want to come? They have a lot of different things there.

I know Chris won't be going on the Repo, so Hazel is going to come with us. Maybe Chris and Chuck can go to Topsiders while you and Hazel join us in Palo on the BOB.

Us too! We want to go to brunch at Palo!

Ok, when Cass gets her new computer and can add to the BOB site again, maybe we should add a Palo Brunch signup? or will there be too many of us?

Gee....I wonder if we could manage to get Palo all to ourselves....:confused3

DCL is not going to know what hit them when we come aboard...."Yes, we have this huge group of people that want to have a lunch together at Lumiere's, sit together at dinner, have a group brunch at Palo, and will take over the adult pool area at least once during the 7 day cruise!"

I'll ask Rick what he tried and I'll get back to you Jen. I know that they tried Guiness, Boddingtons, Fosters but I can't remember the rest.

Good on the food-side Jen. I didn't start serious exercising until I was about 14lbs of target, so don't worry. I think if you do too much it has an adverse effect and if you don't eat enough then you end up not loosing any weight.

Hope your cold doesn't materialise.

So is the pass for two then or do you need two passes? :confused3

You got Chuck in there?

And it isn't weird being in there with more than just your spouse? Is it a big room?

Tell me about the "great" showers they have up there, is that in that room or just in the regular locker rooms up there?

Might be something Suz and I will try next time.

It doesn't take much to get Chuck into any kind of spa like the Rainforest. He loved it.

Actually Jeff, the Rainforest room isn't all that private. There were more couples than just B&J, J&D in it with us. It's really quite large. There were 4 heated tile loungers, and two (maybe three) different sauna's. Each sauna had a different temperatures within it. Hot, hot...medium...and whimpy;) .

I loved the Peppermint shower. The showers are right in the Rainforest room. You do keep your bathing suit on. They gave us some nice robes to wear in and out of the room.

I think you two would love it. We're planning on doing it again this time around.

I don't remember if we actually held two passes or if they just had our passes on record somewhere. We bought two.

If you have the DCL vacation planning video/dvd I know they briefly show the Rainforest. If I were better on finding pictures here on the DIS I'd post some for you, or at least a link or two. I know! Let's ask Jeff. He finds everything!!

I will be serving those again the next time you come over. I just had them a week or so ago and they were really good.

I've had turkey brats from the Turkey Store, but these are better. Too bad there isn't the nutrition chart on it to know the real points per brat. I'm just assuming because they are using chicken, they are better than Johnsonville's.

I'd be willing to bet that the chicken brats are at least 3 pts if not 4. No more than 4 though.

I told you, you could come with our group. :thumbsup2

Chuck is an egg, bacon, potato boy. He doesn't like all that fancy stuff they served at Palo. He might go if I sweet talk him into it. If not, afeg's Hazel would make a wonderful date for me. :cutie:

Ok I need to do some work. Speak later.

Good morning all,

We have done the beer & wine tasting. Enjoyed both. If I remember it's 6 or 8 beers with the last oe being dark- which is the only one I didn't like. The wine was interesting but I am not a red drinker so DH had a few extra. DH did the taquilla. He enjoyed that also.

Count us in an palo brunch, It is definately more fun in a group. They bring a lot of food to your table also.

Busy week end here- off to see Elton John tonight. Tomorrow we have to go to FSU to move oldest back home. He has a job interview next week so please cross all your fingers. He majored in accounting. In Fl you have to have a masters to get your CPA so he still have to do that, but a job would be nice!

have a great Thursday.

Had a lean cusine for dinner and did an hour of step. So I better have a good week!!!!!

Hi Heather!!

Everytime I read one of your posts, I sit here with a silly smile on my face. You were the first KK'er I met (besides the Wisconsin KKers) and I just can't get the picture of our first hug out of my mind. :cloud9:

I remember hearing Kristin say...."oh, oh....here it comes". She was amazed at all the friendships that were made on that ship and before we even took off.

End of my Sappy Thursday Morning Moment.

Elton John?? I've always wanted to see one of his concerts. Him and Jimmy Buffet, and Phil Collins. :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

Have fun tonight Joanne!

"Dust Stuff" for DS too. :cutie:

Elton John! Cool! I'm not a big concert-goer, but that's one I'd like to see.

pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: for your oldest!

Good for you! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Elton John was supposed to be in March, but he got sick. I am glad they reschudels for a good time when the kids are home or we would have been stuck with some extra tickets. It's fun to go to concerts with the kids. last year we did see Jimmy Buffett at FSU with them. Great show awful sound system, we could hear echo's in the building. My kids were amazed at all the drunk old people!!!

Woody and I are Parrotheads! I have seen JB in concert 8 times. Love him! I'm actually listening to him right now!
