Elton John was supposed to be in March, but he got sick. I am glad they reschudels for a good time when the kids are home or we would have been stuck with some extra tickets. It's fun to go to concerts with the kids. last year we did see Jimmy Buffett at FSU with them. Great show awful sound system, we could hear echo's in the building. My kids were amazed at all the drunk old people!!!

Good luck to your son!! :wizard: Hope he gets the job.

I am so not in the working mode today......

A kind request?

Jeff - do you think you could bring me a Piggly Wiggly carrier bag when we meet up in August? My sister and brother-in-law keep mentioning PW when we talk about their trip to the US some years ago, and I would love to have a bit of a laugh with them!:thumbsup2

Do you want the regular brown paper bag or should I get one of the canvas bags?

Jeff - we have to be up at 5.00am in the morning to try and book our excursions, but it will be worth it.

I like that they've moved it from Midnight Pacific to Midnight Eastern. I can book at 11:00 then. :cool1:

I just hope all the glitches are worked out by then. I told Suz we have to put our excursions/ressies in order so that in case it crashes or fills up, we get the most important things first. I told her it would be the Colombia excursion since all the other stops we could do on our own.

She thinks it should be Palo, but I told her the ship is the same size and we have more than twice the number of nights. If people can only book 1 Palo reservation per meal, it will NOT fill up. She disagrees.

I've been tempted to buy a new passporter too, but I'm making myself wait until next year so it's more current.

Next year will have the St. Croix and Tortola stuff in I would think (unless they already took care of that this year).

As for our cruise, not sure what will be new in there.

How about a hidden mickey?

That was my other guess.

Maybe Lori (and Karen since she has the book also, and anyone else) should leave a few and we could have a scavenger hunt onboard.

Or better yet, we could put one together for the kids. :thumbsup2

When I was working my way through the posts on the DS I noticed that the Disneyland Hotel is about to be refurbished of rebuilt even. We're supposed to be staying there in August. I hope I still have a room come the 15th!:scared1:

Better call and confirm.

Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll put you in the Grand Californian.

Yes they do two sessions and the beers are different at each session.

I didn't know the beers were different at each session....hmmm....I wonder if you could find out ahead of time what the beers will be?

Overall Pete like the wine tasting better, but he DID like being introduced to Boddington's!

I'm not a beer drinker, but I might consider this next time. I won't drink any "dark" beers - nasty. As long as it is cold, I will be fine. Plus it is another chance to sit with my BOB friends.

Good morning all,

We have done the beer & wine tasting. Enjoyed both. If I remember it's 6 or 8 beers with the last oe being dark- which is the only one I didn't like. The wine was interesting but I am not a red drinker so DH had a few extra. DH did the taquilla. He enjoyed that also.

Count us in an palo brunch, It is definately more fun in a group. They bring a lot of food to your table also.

Busy week end here- off to see Elton John tonight. Tomorrow we have to go to FSU to move oldest back home. He has a job interview next week so please cross all your fingers. He majored in accounting. In Fl you have to have a masters to get your CPA so he still have to do that, but a job would be nice!

have a great Thursday.

Wow, you're stricter down there. We only need 150 hours towards a Bachelor's (i.e. a 5-year degree).

Good luck to him.

What surprised you the most on your last (or previous) cruises? This question can also assist our 1st time cruisers.

Mine was how many KKers we didn't get to see all that much! You for one, Sistah Goosey Girl. I was barely able to speak to Heather, Becky, Cheryl, Lynn, and many more.

And one disappointment was that when I finally understood Chris' accent, it was time to get off the darn ship!:rotfl: I guess others could say the same about my accent, too.:rotfl:

Even if we didn't plan a formal DIS meet, if we all went for the same day/time, it is fun to see everyone in there.

And Karen, the reason you saw so many KKers in there, and everywhere else, is because there were about 130 of us. I think that was my last count.

I haven't counted the group yet. The count for KK included kids. I think we're bigger this time.

Was there really 130 of us:scared1: - no wonder I couldnt turn a corner withour bumping into a KK t shirt or green band:rotfl2: - I loved it:banana:

I'm in for Palo brunch but I'll have to find a date. Tuna won't go. :sad2:

Come with us:yay:

Hmmm, it all depends. If you were laying on a lounge chair and it was Pirate night you might have seen Karen and Paige with their skirts blowing over their heads! :rotfl2:

Oh my!

Got a question here. Why is everyone making payments? Why not just keep the money in a savings account until it's time to pay? Am I lost on that one???:confused3

If it was in my savings account I would spend it:rolleyes1
:

.

Karen never did answer what Fairy Cake was, did she?

I did too! - you just dont read my posts:snooty:

Did she answer it? I know I put out yesterday asking if it was what we call Angel Food. I don't recall reading Karen's response, but it may have been the accent that got to me and I just shook my head yes to her posting. :rotfl2:

Cheeky s*d:lmao:

Hey don't forget about us.....let me know when ya'll are doing the brunch. I'd like to do dinner just me and Rob but brunch is fun with a group....

Ok, so far

Jeff and Suz
Karen and Neil
Nancy
Paige and Rob

I feel the need for a BIG table:goodvibes

Jeff - we have to be up at 5.00am in the morning to try and book our excursions, but it will be worth it.

Hope you get what you want Heather:yay:

I didn't know the beers were different at each session....hmmm....I wonder if you could find out ahead of time what the beers will be?

Overall Pete like the wine tasting better, but he DID like being introduced to Boddington's!

Neil will do beer tasing too!

Us too! We want to go to brunch at Palo!

Ok, when Cass gets her new computer and can add to the BOB site again, maybe we should add a Palo Brunch signup? or will there be too many of us?

Gee....I wonder if we could manage to get Palo all to ourselves....:confused3

DCL is not going to know what hit them when we come aboard...."Yes, we have this huge group of people that want to have a lunch together at Lumiere's, sit together at dinner, have a group brunch at Palo, and will take over the adult pool area at least once during the 7 day cruise!"

Jeff and Suz
Karen and Neil
Nancy
Paige and Rob
Jen and Pete

Jeff and Suz
Karen and Neil
Nancy
Paige and Rob
Jen and Pete
Joanne and (forgive me - is it EB?) - my list needs updating:rolleyes1

My favorite 100 cal pack is the fudge stripe cookies - just like the real thing!

We're all here to support each other Cass...I've been trying to start myself for months and I'm REALLY doing it this time. I officially started last Friday with the W.I.S.H. Biggest Loser challenge (even though we had a cheesecake in the fridge :scared1: ) and I'm going to stick to it this time, with a little help from my friends!!!!

I thought about joining that group but I decided not to weigh myself this time because I know that sometimes if I have a stall week (no or little weight loss) it discourages me and sometimes I gived up. This time I decided not to weigh myself for about 6 weeks. I am just gonna give it my best and not look at that scale :scared:

Cass you can do it!! We are all here to help and support each other! I've been restarting for months now too and gaines a few pounds :sad2: Like Jen, I joined the BL challenge and so far I have finally actually restared my "diet" and I have been exercising this week too.

I feel like such an idiot for gaining that weight back :sad2: But I am picking myself up, dusting myself off and starting a clean slate. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the support Cheryl

My problem would be the "some" I have here will all be eaten. Those 100 calories will turn into 1,000 by the time I'm full. :sad2:

I am good with the one pack but my sister says that she can't buy those because she can't just eat one, she needs 3 of them :rolleyes1

and about the wedding video...thanks for making me feel old cass.;)
video cameras wern't around back in the dinosaur days.
only old 8mm movie cameras and we didnt get one of those till ds was born
in 1977.

Sorry Mike, you guys are so young at heart and fun that I don't think that you are that much older than me.

C'mon Cass! You are an inspiration to me with how well you did for KK1. You did awesome and WILL do awesome again.:thumbsup2

:cheer2: :cheer2: GO CASS! GO CASS! GO CASS! GO CASS!:cheer2: :cheer2:

You are MY (and our) inspiration now Lori!!! :worship: :goodvibes Thanks for the support

I'd love to have the financial acumen to save that money and accrue interest all year, but it will disappear. Two years ago I told Laura I would never charge another vacation. If we go on vacation, it will be completely paid off prior to leaving. So far, we have done exactly that. The benefit is that I relax a heck of a lot more when I am not worrying about how I am going to pay for everything once we are home.

Once I pay off the Cruise (probably about October) I will be buying the airfare and paying that off. Then, I will be paying off our stay at WDW. I have all of that done just in time to start saving our spending money.

That is... If everything goes according to plan.

Good for you Steve! I don't blame you at all, that is an awesome plan!! Wish I could have our cruise payed off by October ::yes::

Us too! We want to go to brunch at Palo!

Ok, when Cass gets her new computer and can add to the BOB site again, maybe we should add a Palo Brunch signup? or will there be too many of us?

Gee....I wonder if we could manage to get Palo all to ourselves....:confused3

I would hate to be a non-Bober on our cruise  Can you imagine seeing all of us having so much fun and NOT being a part of that  :lmao:
