Thanks for the birthday wishes and the other greetings........:goodvibes

About 18 months before we adopted Angelina, we were in the process of adopting another baby girl(Barbara Jean--BJ). We went through the last 4 months of the mother's pregnancy and was at the hospital before the mother even arrived there to give birth. When BJ was born, we were told she had a 50/50 chance of survival. BJ was rushed to Children's Hospital in Philadelphia, and we followed close behind. To make a long story short, BJ was born with a form of dwarfism and needed to have surgery to expand her chest cavitity. The surgery went well, but BJ developed a staph infection and passed away a few weeks later. I have a picture of me, holding my sweet baby girl, on the inside cover of my Bible. This pic was taken the night before she passed away. :sad1:

Oh Andy that is so sad to loose two children.
You and Hazel have endured some bad times but at least you came through it together.
Angelina is so precious and so lucky to have parents like you.

Jeff, you are right about the manhole covers in beat street :thumbsup2

Next question please :yay:

Melody, love the pics from Amelia's bday :thumbsup2 and the video was awesome! Kira was on my lap watching it and every single photo she said "This!" so for every single photo I had to say "That's baby Amelia!" :rotfl:

We watched a couple of your other videos and Kira clapped at the end of the cupcake video and the one where Amelia did her alphabets and she said "Ray!!!" :lmao:

So, would you feel comfortable taking Amelia on a cruise right now? Kira would be around her age on the Bober cruise and probably working on being potty trained but not all the way there yet. Would you feel that there was enough on the cruise to entertain her all day without being able to be in the clubs by herself and not being able to be in the Mickey Pool??

I really don't want to leave her at home but I also don't want her to be all stressed out on the ship and her be thoroughly bored. Thoughts?? :confused3

Does Amelia get through an entire meal in her chair, or does she want out after 20-30 minutes? Is she still sleeping in a crib?

Sorry for the million questions...don't have any experience with a 3 year old yet :rolleyes1

:rotfl: I'd love to but I think I'm starting on the hall, stairs and landing once I've tackled the garden, followed by the downstairs bathroom and then the 2 upstairs bathrooms. After that its the master bedroom, guest bed and then the 4th bedroom. After that I'll be done:rolleyes:

Hey Karen you sound like me type of girl - always decorating. Unlike you though i just tell sean what to do and what colours to do it, i do finishing touches. We just finished olivias room and now its the hall, stairs and landing too. We keep going round the house changing rooms, drives sean crazy.
In the summer its the drive that needs re paving. Oh what fun. :rotfl2: :rotfl2
I sometimes help sean but i think he finds me a hindrance. Whew!!
You obviously like decorating too then!

We'll be flying home straight after the cruise:sad1:

Due to school holidays we will be flying straight after the cruise too next time.
Olivia starts high school in sept so not sure how new school will be re taking out of school time, so can only probably push for 5 days:mad:

I would think it is, but if not, I can PM you.

Actually, all it is, is take a canister of biscuits, cut the circle in the middle (I use the cap from a soda bottle) to get the ball and the big O.

Heat the oil (she recommend, and I use, Peanut Oil) to 350*. Just put them in until they are brown on one side and then flip over. So easy to make and like I said, sooooooooo good.

I think the key for us was finding the low-fat biscuits.

My family has been making these forever....We don't poke a hole in the biscuits, we cut them in half or quarters, then fry them up. Voila, instant beignets!! We dust them with powdered sugar, or roll them in cinnamon-sugar or dip them in syrup. They are heavenly!

IF, notice that is a BIG IF, we go, we would have to do it before Xmas. Depending on what DS's school schedule is like, we would look at the weekend right before. I think you guys are down there at that time.

We'll be there 20-30 Dec........

Whats Horizons?:confused3

It's Horizons by Marriott. It's the resort we are staying at in a couple of weeks in Orlando. It's looks great. I bet you could find it if you google it. It has a pirate themed pool. We are getting really excited. We are cleaning house right now then I want to start to get a few things together to start packing.

Hi Paige
The pictures of Emily was great, she looked so smart.
Didnt look like that sweet girl in the dresses at dinner.:cool1:

TRIVIA QUESTION

The deck 8 midship elevator lobby has a limited edition print. Out of the 125 prints made, what number is this one?

So is pulling a kid out of school a legal issue for any one else. Here is Arizona it is a big problem. A child can only miss 10 days a semester. If they miss more then that you will be sent to the school board and they can decided if your child will have to repeat that grade. If you child misses 20 days in a year then the school board can expel your child and they will need to attend a charter school. For any days that your child misses that is for an illness you have to have a dr. note. Those days will be excused and not counted against you.

The only other exception is if you child is in a special ed. class then they are not as strict on you.

Oh and the other one is if it is proven that the child is missing school in order to support the family.

We've taken Angelina out a few times for a family vacation and never had any problems. Here is they miss a certain number of days, they have to attend either a Saturday class(during the school year) or do summer completion to make up the time missed. Luckily, we haven't had to go that route, but some of Hazel's neices had to do the week summer completion two years ago.

We are right there with you Mike. It seems like forever since we have been on the magic. I can not believe that it has only been 6 months.

Yeah, we haven't been on the Magic since August 2006, I'm starting to forget what it's like being onboard(not really, but you get my drift). :sad1:

I actually enjoy decorating! and gardening! I want a new patio laying bu the quotes we've had are :scared1:

Luckily our block paved drive was laid by the previous owners so thats saved us ££££

Once all the house is decorated I usually start in the first room and start all over again:rolleyes1

That's so cute! I'm glad she enjoyed them. Amelia knows Kira from your videos! :thumbsup2 That's so funny.

Amelia was 2 years 8 months old on the last cruise. I think the pools were bummer because she wasn't potty trained but that was the biggest disappointment -- in regard to what I felt she missed out on. Even at that age she LOVED Flounders when we dropped her there. Ernie will be 2 years 3 months on the BOB cruise and I don't think we'll feel bad leaving him a Flounders. I doubt he'll be potty trained at that time.

On the last cruise, we all played in the Oceaneer's Lab with Amelia and she loved it, even though we couldn't just leave her there. We'll probably take Ernie in there next cruise, as well.

Amelia slept in bed with me. In fact, Ernie did too. She is just now out of her crib and the pack n play would have been too small for her. We all had plenty of room. EB slept in the single sofa bed. We were all cozy and it the only sleeping issue we had was getting her to sleep at night. She just wanted to run around bouncing off the walls.:headache: But once I was able to calm her down we were fine. No naps, either...that took a toll on her. But already Ernie is such a different child than she is. Amelia was ALL about the schedule. Ernie goes with the flow and is more flexible.

Meals were tough last cruise, but we plan on using the clubs and Flounders more for them during dinner time. We are only planning on 2 or 3 at the most meals with them in the dining rooms. Otherwise we'll do Palo one night, feed them at the buffet on deck 9 all other nights and drop them off at the club and flounders for meals. I don't forsee having too much trouble getting reservations for flounders.

We're really looking forward to this cruise!!!
