Morning all - I found you!

We had a 5.2 magnitude earthquake this morning about 4:30 ... what a weird feeling. We haven't really checked the house much for damage ... we're mostly worried about the foundation since we already have so many cracks there to begin with.

The good news ... we do have earthquake insurance!!!

Holy cow Brenda - hope everything is ok!

I have to make chocolate chip cookies tonight....sigh...another test of willpower. I make the Nestle Tollhouse recipe from scratch....no better chocolate chip cookie in the world....

That is my biggest weekness. When the boys come from college I do a lot of baking and cheating.........

The after shocks are scary. When my youngest was 5 he called them after shakes. I was always afraid we were going to have another big one while I was at work and they were at school and i wouldn't be able to get to them. Good luck with all of it. I no longer have a full set of china or crystal. That I bought dirt cheap in gemany and sure couldn't afford to replace!

I love to bake...it's sort of sad that I can't do it that much anymore.

Have you ever seen Vitamuffins? They're a line of muffins that have extra fiber, vitamins, etc. They taste pretty good too. They have prebaked muffins, but they also have mixes. When I reallly need to bake something, I'll bake a batch of vitamuffins, and they're a good indulgence.

I caved in, I couldn't take it anymore, I had to turn on the A/C in my work car this afternoon..............

It's 81* in our house right now, I might have to turn on the central air in order to sleep tonight, as the humidity, is building..............
