YOu might want to check to see if Dreams Unlimited Travel, Allearsnet.com or Mlousesavers.com can get you a better deal on the Dolphin.

Also, call their reservation number directly and ask if there are any specials. I've always gotten better rates by calling them directly over the ones you can find online.

The rate seems pretty good considering what WDW is charging for their hotels. But, I will be calling them because they are in the Entertainment book, so I will see if that rate is available. If not, I will ask what other rates they have. The rate I found was a "special" rate on their website.

The weekend I'm looking at the rates at the Mods were $215 for that Friday and Saturday. The Values are $139. The Dolphin is coming up $159. I thought that was pretty good.

It is the same price on the Wed and Thur leading into the weekend, but the Mods are only $119.20 with AAA (Values $65.60).

Evening Becky.

Have you stayed at AS-Music at all?

I think the only Value resorts that have been renovated are Music and Sports. Not sure about Pop.

What's your thought of staying up near the airport on the last night?

Our flight out is at 8:00 a.m. We would be in the parks until late and then would drive (car in the lot already) to MCO, drop the car and then go to the airport.

The Hyatt is $170 (including tax).

Sheraton is $130 (inlcuding tax and has a 24-hour shuttle).
Fairfield is $120 (including tax, has shuttle, but not sure of the times).

That's an awesome price for the Hyatt Jeff. They wanted almost $250.00 for one night last October before our cruise. That was with my AAA discount. I called them twice to make sure one person wasn't telling me something different. In Oct 05 we got a room for $175.00(including tax). :thumbsup2
We absolutely LOVED the Hyatt MCO.:thumbsup2

She is one LUCKY LUCKY woman!!!

Is it hard for you sometimes living in a house where everyone likes to sleep in? I'm such a morning person and both EB and Ernie like to sleep in. Amelia is usually up early with me (but not this early). It's tough because I want to get up and get moving and doing things. They just want to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

Melody, I'm a morning person myself. Up before 6:00 am on the weekends too. :scared1: Chuck has to be out of the house by 4:00 am on the weekdays so on the weekends he likes to sleep in a little. By 7:30 though, I'm jumping on the bed to get him up.:rotfl: We always have tons of errands to run on Saturdays and I like to get at them early. I do love the early morning quiet in the house though.

Jeff, I just remembered. That AAA parking pass might have your dates blocked. I recall seeing a lot of December dates blocked out. Just a thought.

If it were me, I'd stay at the Hyatt the night before your flight, if you can get such a good rate. It will give y'all peace of mind not having to rush at one of the WDW resorts so early in the morning. Also staying at MCO the night before will alleviate any traffic issues on the day you fly. You never know when you'll have a traffic jam because of an accident; you wouldn't want to deal with that on the morning you fly.

The day really wouldn't be waisted because it was the day we planned on touring the resorts and looking at Christmas decorations anyways. So to throw the bags in the trunk and go isn't a big deal - I think.

Thats a good plan

Wasn't sure if that was considered good or not. Also wasn't sure if I should save the $40 or $50 by staying at one of the off-airport hotels.

I think it would be better to stay near the airport given how early our flight is. If that is the case, then I'd probably look to stay at the same hotel in WDW for all 3 nights. No need moving twice.

Nancy, I don't have my 2007 pass anymore, but I bet you are right about the black out dates. The one day we would need it would be the 20th, and since that is the start of the Christmas week, I bet it is blocked.

Guess no real need for the car on Saturday then. Just need/want it to get back to MCO (don't want to rely on other transportation). Although, if we do the MCO Hyatt, I could just take Magical Express back to MCO on Saturday night, late.

Sounds like a plan.

I forgot about that very merry party thingy. You will have to tell me about it.

It only runs through the 19th, so You won't be down in time for it Paige (you come the 20th, correct?).

Are you going to the parks on the 20th? Just wondering if we go, if we'd see you.

Only through the 19th and it is a Christmas party? That seems a little odd to me.

Yes, we'll be there on the 2oth--some time in the afternoon I think.

So, you're going to WDW twice this year? June and December?
All this talk from my fellow BOBs about going to WDW this year makes me sad we can't go. Darn those kids and their weddings! :lmao:
