Well kids, time to get ready to go over to the outlaws. Having b-day dinner and cake for Suz' sister who wouldn't celebrate her 40th last year. :sad2:

She also doesn't want her kids to know how old she is (obviously has an issue with age).

So I was thinking of walking in and saying, "Happy 41st Old Lady". :rotfl2:

Good luck for the race to 3,000.

Congrats in advance to the weiner, I mean winner.

HELP

Repo car rental question:

Now that the flights have changed for our trip to LA, I need to make adjustments to my rental car.

Since we will land at 11:00, we'll need to pick it up by noon. Therefore, it will have to be returned by noon on the day we drop it. Suz does NOT want to drop it the morning of the cruise.

My options:

Budget: 2 days drop at Long Beach near the water, can take train 16 blocks to hotel. Upside: cheapest rental. Downside: need to have car back by noon. Cost: $96

Alamo: 1 day rental from LAX drop at Downtown Disney. A second 1-Day rental on Saturday morning, pick up at DtD or So. Harbor and then take to Long Beach. Upside: Alamo office opens at 7:00 a.m. at DtD and I can just drive there and then walk to parks. Downside: Long Beach drop is at the airport and will have to take a cab to hotel (i.e. Extra Money). Cost: $102 combined

Budget: 3 day rental with drop in Long Beach near the water. Same train back to the hotel. Upside: have the card for more time on Saturday and can return it on Sunday if need be. Downside: If Saturday return, office closes at 4:00, so only 4 extra hours. Cost: $139

Alamo option seems the best..at least you don't pay for time that you can't use.

or spend the time at Anaheim and catch the DCL bus to the Port on Sunday with Becky and the rest of us.

or catch a lift with Chris. :lmao: Don't know where he's staying on Saturday night or how he's getting to the port.

Sorry, haven't left yet. Seems to be common with me. :rotfl:

Actually, keeping it the two days with Budget would be less (only by $6 - if you don't count the taxi ride from Long Beach Airport), but we'd have to have it dropped by noon on Saturday.

If we go with Alamo, we could drop it at 10:00 p.m. at Long Beach airport. Again, I'll have to take a cab to the hotel. Guess I should call the hotel and see what that would cost to get a real idea of the total.

Thanks for your feedback though Heather.

Chris is actually staying where we're staying on Saturday night (at least that is the last I heard). The hotel has free shuttle to the port, so no extra cost there and we're hoping to get there before the DCL and DS buses get there.

They do have the Tall Ships in the LB Harbor that weekend, so that might be one thing we can do down there.

I might be meeting up with my Uncle for lunch or dinner. If they come for dinner, I could have him bring me back from Long Beach airport. That would be the best alternative.

My brother offered for us to stay at his place in Redondo Beach and take us to the port, but Suz doesn't want to do that .

Spent my underwater camera money on new bed linen today:rolleyes1

Saw it when I was shopping for shoes this morning:rotfl2:

Not sure if anyone else saw this Dr Phil show - the link allows you to type in your zipcode and find what sort of SICK AND VILE people you are living near, including photographs and their addresses.

I wish we had something similar in the UK.

I've got to check either my glasses or my eyes checked again, as this is what I thought you wrote above in the first line:

Perhaps its better not to know if you can't do anything about it.
