OK ... now that I've been disgusting enough for one afternoon I'm going back to my loan request.

Scotch and food pairing?!?!?! My DH would be in heaven...

He's already lamenting we didn't buy our full duty-free limit of GlenLivit on the ship/in port....he had his hands on a 20 YO scotch and put it back...

Looking forward to reading it, Bendy! I'm off to cook a meal for a friend (and her family) who just had a baby. Of course, I've been under the weather, so I won't be able to eat any of it--Murphy's Law I guess.

If your hubby likes Scotch, tell him to try Glenkinchie 10-year or the Macallan 12-year. They're both single malts that are a little lighter, although the Macallan is actually aged in sherry casks and yum yum ... is it ever tasty!

I agree completely, but see ... the problem is that I've never really had much in the way of curves.

EDIT - I'm sort of like a flabby ironing board.

I am still not settled in enough to post pics of the inside of my house, but here is the view outside my back deck on a foggy morning last week.

And here is one of my birthday gifts from my friends....Rob installed it a couple of days ago.

Hi Jen

People want you to recycle but then they make it so stinking hard. Macs class was collecting cans for field trips. Well half way through the year they stopped so we told the grandparents who were collect to continue and we would trade the cans in for cash and put that cash in a college account for Mac. With my parents it is very little cans, but then Scotts dad just dropped off 5 large black trash bags of cans. Now I can not find a place to take them to.

They want us to recycle...but then tell you that they will only take certain plastics. Mind you since we've been recycling, I've reduced our waste by half.

That sounds like fun! We're - we had to cancel our trip to AZ and DL this year - we have to spend the $$$ on waterproofing our basement instead.

That sounded like me most of the day Jen. I only got done about 1/2 of what I should have done. I kept thinking all day to myself...............I SHOULD be leaving for vacation after work today, did not make for a very pleasant day for me to say the least...............

Then I come home for lunch and find my laptop acting up which only made matters worse.............

What's that saying about when you are dealt lemons, I know what it is, but I don't feel like making any stinkin' lemonade.................

Fortunately, he didn't know about the trip, but Mom, Dad, and Grandma (my Mom) are all disappointed...but that's life.

Actually, in the real world, if life gives you lemons, ues them to garnish a glass of Mike's Hard lemonade! Or an amaretto sour, or a tequila sunrise....ok, I don't know enough drinks....

Andy, I feel for you...I'm setting my out of office message for today since I'm off on Monday - but I'm off on Monday to get the basement done. Not anything fun ...it's never fun to have to give up a vacation!
