Does anyone have a preference to a date if we all want to meet up?

How about the 28th or 29th? - I think everyone is there by then and no-one has gone home by then:confused3 - just a thought.

Could the meet be outside of a theme park? otherwise it would be more costly getting another days pass for people.

If anyone has any suggestions?:confused3

One place to consider is Bahama Breeze in LBV. It has a big outside seating area so we can have a drink and a chat and eat if we want to.:confused3

I'm happy to go anywhere:goodvibes

We are game for anything! I was thinking DTD but it is going to be :scared1:
I like the idea of outside of the parks. We will have a car and anyone who doesn't can ride with us. :goodvibes

On a side note I got our tickets and car for our October trip. Airtran for $204 w/ taxes pp and minivan for $380 w/ taxes. I am NOT liking the additional taxes at MCO. Highway robbery!!

Can it be that I am all alone? I know Sneeky 2 is off working but no Sneeky 1!
I guess the internet gods are trying to tell me to

Get to work Woman!!

Cheryl - the Boston book is the Berlitz pocket guide - great little book:thumbsup2

Theres also the "Cheers" Bar to visit too and the Old south meeting house.

Faneuil Market place had the xmas shop I think and you could grab yourself a bargain at Filenes Basement:thumbsup2 and theres also the "tea boat thing" where you throw the tea overboard.

We also did whale watching and saw loads of humpbacks but it was very choppy the day we went:sick:

Theres Copley Square and the John Hancock building

Hope that gives you somethings to think about:thumbsup2

Have fun!

wow you are great tourist guide. Those are all great places. I dont think Filenes basement is open anymore. Diane

If we meet on the 28th, we can celebrate my Birthday...:dance3:
Walt :cool1:

Woo Hoo!:woohoo: Sounds good Walt:thumbsup2

How do you make a tissue dance?

Put a little boogy in it!

:lmao:

We'll have a car too - there'd be a little space in it - theres only three of us so room for two more if you dont mind the squash!

I just had a quick flick through the guide book I found and remember ed where we'd been - we loved Boston:goodvibes

I think I'm going insane:rolleyes1

Today Neil and I decided to go tothe garden suppliers that the landscaper uses to price up the stuff we want etc - we got part way there when I remembered I had a hair appt:eek: - had to turn back and whizz over there instead:lmao: - I was only 10 minutes late:rolleyes1

Anyone done Unviersal at xmas time?

Is it as crowded as Disney? Do they do the Macy parade during xmas week?

Try going to LV or LA. They kill you there as well. The taxes and fees at the airports are running 25% or more, much more. :sad2:

Gotta love the gov't always taking your money.

Well, good morning peeps!:goodvibes

Feeling pretty lousy this morning - got a head full of bogeys!:scared: :lmao:

I guess I'll just sit on the pc all day and plan our holiday!:cool1:

O.K., the accountant is coming out in me.

How bad is it that I'm looking at the prices of this trip to WDW and thinking I could do a beach vacation in Mexico instead without the caos?

We've put a cap of $200/each on our airline tickets. If we do a $100 hotel, before food, car rental and whatever else, we will be at $1,200 for 5 nights. This trip will easily top $1,500-$1700.

4-5 nights in Playa del Carmen or Puerto Vallarta for that kind of $ sounds really good. And the weather will be sunny and hot for sure.

However, I REALLY want to see everyone again, especially you Karen.

Those of us with cars can always help out picking up those without cars.

How hard is it to go to one of the WDW resorts? They usually let you go in for 2-3 hours (although this group will probably need more :rotfl: ). Just say you're going to meet a guest for lunch. :thumbsup2

We have a Chrysler Sebring Convertable. Plenty of room in the back seat!! Although we are going to the car show this weekend to look at a new SUV since the 4 Runner died.:sad1: We will probably be buying a new car my summer. :headache: I hate having a car payment. We have been without one for a few years now that is at least nice but we need an SUV. I have a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited but it is not enough room for us, the dog, and our fishing and camping stuff. Gee, Woody making more money is going to cost us more money! How does that happen!

What were you doing in the backseat? :rolleyes1

Why not look at one of the cross-overs? I really like the GMC Arcadia. That will be our next one when we get rid of the Bravada.

what pop tart doesnt know is the hotel room will be only 1/2 the listed price
as cinnamon is willing to split the cost if we let her sleep in the spare bed.
:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1
i'm sure robin will go along with it.:woohoo:
i promise to be a good underdog.pirate: pirate:
(good thing robins a heavy sleeper)

The dog better be good or he'll be making a trip to the vet to help control the pet population. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: ;)

We have done both. We were just out in LA a few months ago and lucked out on a great deal with Alamo. $84 for a week! We don't even bother renting in LV anymore. Just grab a taxi or take the shuttle.

We are wondering too Karen. Would like to go but is it worth it without the FOTL pass.

You know there is an auxiliary parking lot across from the Boardwalk right behind the gas station. Anyone can park there. It is used for people who are not resort guests and want to visit the Boardwalk area. (we cheat sometimes and park there when we go to Epcot or MGM) We could all meet at ESPN!

We looked at those. Woody didn't like the way they drove. Something about the seats really bugged him. I really like them. Plenty of room for me and the dog (That's Shadow not you Mr Dog!;) ) and I don't feel like I am driving a Sherman tank. More like a Panzer! :thumbsup2

I've just been online and the hotels for one night are $359:scared1: - holy cow!

The trouble is I've heard that without fotl passes its just not worth going:confused3

I'm stumped...Neil doesnt want to do Disney lots this time..he wants to do Universal, but I dont know if we'll get anything done or even get on any rides without fotl passes?

We're both happy going to Seaworld, aquatica and wet n wild (if the weather is good) so the flexticket seems a good option, but what if its cloudy and cold like it was the 2nd time we went? We wont be doing water parks, we wont get on anything at Univ parks and we wont want to go to Seaworld every day:confused3, so the felxticket park passes will be useless:confused3

I sugeested we get Disney passes this time and Flextickets next Oct but he's determined not to do more than a couple of days at Disney (he says he's all "disneyed out":confused3 - All disneyed out???:confused3 - thats not possible is it???:confused3 - no-one can get snough of Disney, right?:confused3 - my hubbys wierd:rotfl:

So, at the moment - I have nothing planned:rolleyes:

We cant afford both Disney and flex tickets.

I'm now considering just buying a 2 day Univ pass (3rd day free) and a seaworld day pass and buying the rest on the gate depending on the weather:confused3

Is it much more than a combined ticket:confused3
