Easter is early this year. Easter is always the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the Spring Equinox (which is March 20). This dating of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used to identify Passover, which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar. Based on the above, Easter can actually be one day earlier (March 22) but that is pretty rare.
Here's the interesting info. This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of our lives! And only the most elderly of our population have ever seen it this early (95 years old or above!). And none of us have ever, or will ever, see it a day earlier! Here are the facts:
1) The next time Easter will be this early (March 23) will be the year 2228 (220 years from now). The last time it was this early was 1913 (so if you're 95 or older, you are the only ones who were around for that!).
2) The next time it will be a day earlier, March 22, will be in the year 2285 (277 years from now). The last time it was on March 22 was 1818. So, no one alive today has or will ever see it any earlier than this year
A bit of sparkle and I'm there...Rick calls me a magpie. I quite like this one

He grew his famous mustache at age 25.
He was the voice of Mickey Mouse for two decades.
He often ate lunch at his desk -- his favorite meal was chili and beans, which he ate with tomato juice and soda crackers.
He admitted to being "scared to death" when he had to face the camera to introduce episodes of the "Disneyland" television series.
He won more Oscars than anyone else -- 32.
We get new neighbours today - leaving are a nuice couple with two doga, arriving are a nice couple with two children - not sure which is best - 2 dogs or 2 kids![]()
Thanks for this Heather. The students do morning announcements and have a fun fact everyday I'm going to show them this one.Easter is early this year. From staples I gather.
Well we will see if this works in August. Sean and I have tickets left over.Quote from Mousesavers:
Using Walt Disney World Tickets at Disneyland
Interesting, unpublished fact: you can use any unexpired, leftover days on a Walt Disney World ticket at Disneyland or DCA! Present the Disney World ticket at the gate on arrival -- they will take it somewhere, deduct a day from it, and give you a one-day Disneyland Park Hopper ticket. You can repeat this day by day until the Disney World ticket is used up. They will not give you a multi-day ticket all at once, even if you have multiple days left on your Disney World ticket. Also, MouseSavers.com reader Danny P notes that any Disneyland ticket obtained from exchanging a Walt Disney World ticket must be used on the same day it was exchanged.
This policy has been in effect for at least 5 years, and the information was last reconfirmed by a MouseSavers.com reader as of December 2007.
Disneyland tickets are NOT accepted at Walt Disney World, and Annual Passes are only good at the park where they were purchased (WDW Annual Passes are NOT good at Disneyland, and vice versa).

Guess AgainI'm guessing Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Dopey)
TA DA....WinnerI'm guessing Mickey Mouse's head and ears.
So, what plans does everyone have for the weekend?
Since Hazel's birthday is this coming Monday, Angelina and I will be taking Hazel out on Sunday for her birthday dinner. Haven't decided where we are going yet, thinking about Olive Garden or maybe Bennigan's. There is a new Nifty Fifty restaurant that opened a short time ago not too far from us, was thinking of maybe even giving that a try. Afterall, Hazel was born in the 50's and, she is in her 50's............![]()
