The last time I wore a dress was for my wedding, 28 years ago!!


Actually, my family cleaned up nicely for formal night. K & S in dresses, and the boys in nice shirts and ties. I wore a nice pant suit but the dress shoes made me so uncomfortable that I left during dinner to change.

First, thanks to all of you who continue to ask about my dad and Spencer.

My dad is coming home on Saturday! The nursing home decided that there is nothing further they can do for him and that he has improved enough to come home!! (And the fact that Medicare won't pay for him to be there anymore). Chuck and Tony are going to set everything up for him tonight. Hospital bed, additional railings for the basement stairs, & walker ramp outside. He is so excited to finally come home. He never thought he'd ever see his house again. Now we just have to get him to move from that lousy neighborhood they live in.

Spencer is also going home on March 11th. He still has a few problems from the brain injuries but again, Medicade is done paying his way too. He will be on permanent disability too. He has come such a long way and looks so much better. He lost 65 pounds after the accident and put 70 back on since Christmas!! He never wants to ride motorcycle again. The outline of his body is still on the street where the accident happened. They must have used paint instead of chalk. He also said he will NEVER drive past that spot...ever!! He will live with his mom at an apartment (she moved out of her house because of the recent attack/burglary) until July and will move with her to Arizona then.

Thanks again for all your pm's everyone, the thoughts, prayers, and dust stuff and for all of you who contributed to the making of his cd's. He absolutely loved them all.

She might go for that, seriously. I am now paying her to color and cut my hair at home too. She does a good job and I put a little money in her college fund so it saves me alot and she makes some money so we are both happy.

Add me to the list Cheryl we'll get that girl some extra spending money!

The Dark Side is doing a princess night on one of the semi-formal nights...all the women are supposed to where tiaras.

Perhaps we should just have a teeshirt and tiara night in the buffet one evening, instead of eating in the restaurants?

So what if the Dark Side is doing it, let's plan it, but I don't do gloves.

Big News....moving up in the world...ok maybe just one more step up the ladder....how about one step further away from the mud??

Congrats Mark. Sean has been a deputy since 1995, I keep asking when he is going to become a Sgt. He says he wants to do street first, not looking forward to that one.

That is going to be one fun table. I think our count will be 11 if we can all fit at one table.

Can I make a suggestion? I think the "dark side" is looking at 6:00 for the early. Unless that lines up better for the theme nights, I recommend we go for the 5:45. What do you guys think?

I should clarify that Lori is my sister and this BIL is on my husband's side. I went to see him today and I think the news is sinking in slowly. He was talking to many of his family members.

My mum has had cancer twice in the last 6 years, she has just finished her treatment now and is fine, she had ovarian cancer.
They can do so much nowadays so fingers crossed for him.

Umm me no likey clowns. I didn't care for them much when I was a kid and THEN I saw the movie Poltergeist and REALLY hated them after that. They are creepy looking! I will never swim in the Boardwalk pool either, that clown slide is scary

And what was that Stephen King novel they made into a movie with the scary clown?? It? I can't remember, but it creeped me out too

There will be no blowing up of that little creepy jester dude, not by me anyway And I will make sure to steer clear of those secret porthole rooms, Rob can deliver those tag gifts

So I went out to dinner last night at Chili's and I sat down and ordered an iced tea....the waiter proceeded to tell me that since it's a U.S. chain that they only have brewed tea, not "real" iced tea

Umm hello, you are an American chain in CANADA!!!!!!! You should have my iced tea! I can't even find my iced tea in Canada in Epcot, why should I get that brewed stuff up here

Then I saw the movie Fool's Gold and they were in Key West and talking about shopping and it reminded me that I never got to get my sandals at Kino's

Then I woke up this morning to 6 inches of snow

I'm just waiting for my dogs to pee in my shoes or something

What is your real iced tea?

Don't get it exactly since the only kind I'll drink is iced tea mix.
I hate real iced tea then adding sugar to it just doesn't taste as good to me as drink mix... fake iced tea... I guess I'm not really a tea conissoeur (sp?)

But I know that Chili's has the absolute best margarita's anywhere!

Thanks for the wishes. We're hoping for an agressive treatment plan that does the job. They think it was caught early enough. They were just checking his gallbladder for some pain he was having when the spots were found.

Glad to see you guys posting more! I think our DDs post on the kids sight -- I haven't checked it for a while.

I'm bringing my hairstylist with me. Rachel did a couple of the girls hair for dinner one night on KK1 and they all looked very nice. Now that my hair is getting longer she'll be able to style mine for me! She did my hair for me for my niece's wedding and I got compliments on it so she's hired

Rachel does an awesome job!
I remember seeing Mackenzie's hair one night at dinner and she told us that Rachel did it. She looked gorgeous!
