Ok, heres the garden photos - its not finished yet because the rain stopped me.

Heres the before:

This was taken as the men were half way through cutting the trees down

I cant find any of the other photos on Photobucket :confused3

There were loads of half dead conifers and a big ash tree when we moved in, all riddled with vile ivy. The grass was half dead and covered in rabbit poo:scared:

And heres the after:

It doesnt look much, but you wont believe the roots we've had to dig up just to reach some soil:sad2:

We still need to do the border along the back fence too and I have lots more plants to put in but they arent big enough yet

Joanne looks like we will just miss each other. We will be down June 5-9.

Thanks Shelley - we still have a long way to go, but we're getting there. Neil doesnt like gardening at all, so I do most of it on my own. He does the stuff I physically cant manage, but otherwise I do it all. Its taken me since last July to get this far.

Theres still no garden lighting and the water feature isnt in yet, but it all takes time and £££

Beautiful Gardens...:thumbsup2

We're hoping to have all anticipated onboard charges, except for excursions, covered by our rewards card and OBC's for the Repo.

That would be tips, pictures, internet, drinks, miscellaneous spending.

We're trying to do the same with the BOB cruise. Since we won't have the kids our picture bill won't be nearly as high, but our bar tab will probably make up for it.....:lmao:

OMG it took me forever to find you guys!!!!!

We are still onboard.....just myself and DD still. I don't think I will ever catch up so is there anything going on that I need to know:scared1:

Just to reintroduce myself. I am Kim and will be finally doing a mother - daugther cruise she will have just turned 17 by Oct. Figure we better get it in before she is too old for the stack.

Have a great day all

Kim

Thanks Paige....did the pop group 'Frankie Goes to Hollywood' make it to the US in the 80's?

It was a HUGE hit in the 80's! And it still haunts me now :rolleyes1 Rob plays it all the time at his dances, people still like it but I've heard it now WAY too many times :sad2:

Do you guys have a dog? It looks like your yard has little doggie patches :confused3 I don't recall you mentioning one though.

great job on the gardening! I melt when I go outside, so I do it as seldom as possible :lmao:

Hi Kim, it's Jen....welcome back!

As Cass said, all the important stuff will be on her website...go take a look. We have some meets planned, and Cheryl is working on a group rate for some of us at the Radisson the night before the cruise.

Feel free to ask about anything in the meantime....we love to chat!

Karen,

You have done a great job? Is that a school behind you? I have no gardening ability. We also just have sand so it's hard to grow anything.

Any one here from Little Rock? We have time before the wedding next week end and would like to do some sightseeing?

Welcome back Kim:goodvibes -its good to hear from you again.

Anything important is on the first page of each thread - the rest of it is just us all chatting.

Yes, we are very lucky - apparantly its the largest urban park in Europe and its 2 minutes away from our house:banana: Its beautiful to walk/cycle through

I love the heat - the warmer the better for me - I'm like Brenda - a lizard:goodvibes

Does Kira have a paddling pool? - I remember spending many a happy hour watching Ellis when he was a toddler in his pool in the summer.:cutie: I had been known to get in myself when I got too hot and the neighbours couldnt see:rolleyes1 :rotfl:

No, the brown patches are from weedkiller - we had lots of dandelions in the lawn so I sprinkle salt on them to kill them as it works better than weedkiller. The grass does grow back but it takes a couple of weeks, hence the brown patches.

OH, it is one sunny day here today. :cool1:

A little coo, only getting up to 66, but I'll take it.

After some morning clouds, we now have bright sunny skies and going up in the mid 70's!!! :thumbsup2

Thank you for the welcome back. I figured since we had booked so far out the thread would just put along and I would check every once in a while but life jsut got in the way and I never got back here:confused: But WOW looks like I missed alot.

DD will turn 17 in Aug of 09, is there many other kids her age. Last time we where on Disney in Oct there was lots of teens but we went on Carnival in Oct and there was none....really none just DD and DS...so hoping for her that there are lots of teens......me I will be in a lounge chair reading my book with a little umbrella in my froo froo drink:rolleyes1

Karen,

You have done a great job? Is that a school behind you? I have no gardening ability. We also just have sand so it's hard to grow anything.

Yes, thats Ellis' school - I'll be able to spy on him from his bedroom window in September when he moves into that building and playground. He wont be able to skip school either or his teachers will be able to see him playing ion his bedroom:rotfl:

Its not easy to grow anything in our garden either. Its a new build and so the garden is just full of building material and rubble with a thin layer of top soil on top. I often find broken house bricks when I'm digging:rolleyes:

You could always just plant in pots and containers if your soil is too sandy.
I must admit I enjoy gardening. I didnt when I was younger...... I must be getting old:scared1:
