O.K., right now I can get you a Cat 11 (I'd go for this due to the higher deck), with air, and insurance for $1,343.

$817 Cruise
$416 Air ($208 x2)
$110 Insurance

I think I can get you tips and a hotel the night before (do you really need one after? I'm sure I can do that) and rental cars for the $657 remaining.

Tips will be about $65
Rental car on each end would be $45 Front-end (1 day) and $46 Back-end (1 day). Total = $91.
Radisson near the port = $110

So what am I up to?

$1,609 before a night at the end of the cruise and spending money. How am I doing?

Don't forget 3 Mochaccino's a day and the fact that I ALWAYS over-tip and that I like lots of spending money.

BTW...Is this for a 3 nighter or a 4 nighter?

Hold on, I can shave $40 off the room at port if you go to the La Quinta. I stayed there before our Wonder cruise and I believe Paige stayed there before this past October's cruise. I'll let here comment on it.

So, now I have this down to $1,569.

It is a 3 nighter, but it would be $180 more for a 4-nighter. So add that on and you're at $1,749. Make it $1,800 with the added days tips.

Am I still doing O.K.?

Looks like it's all going to happen tomorrow night. He regrets not doing it on the cruise last year. There would have been so many opportunities for a nice romantic proposal. I hope he gets creative. It's a moment us women remember forever!!

Two of the people I work with have a beautiful summer house on the Lake in Sister Bay. Yeah, they call it a "summer house" when in reality it's twice the size of mine at home and probably costs 5 times more. 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, indoor and outdoor kitchens, blah blah blah. Chuck and I have stayed there a few times for a quick getaway. Funny thing is is that there are no tvs in the place. We went during the basketball playoffs one year and couldn't watch them. We ended up going to a bar in town to watch.

Such a beautiful place and no tv? I must have my priorities mixed up. :mao:

Actually my little princess decided to pitch a book at my face earlier this morning. It swelled up to the size of a small grape and now the bruising is coming in. I can feel my eye starting to swell up more and is starting to close
