10/24/2009 - Bash on the Boat (I'm with B.O.B) - Thread # 30

Hey everyone...

I just found out that I will be moving next week (job transfer) to Providence, Rhode Island. I am excited as in a lot of ways this will allow me to "start fresh" with my new life.

Heading to Maine for a few days to visit the family today, then coming home to finish packing. I will probably move either next Monday or Tuesday 40 miles North East to the Providence suburbs.

I will keep in touch!

Officially applied for financial aide to start school tonight. Told Sean had to do it before I talked myself out of it. I almost did after figuring out how much this all is going to cost. I'm going to get my bachelors in elementary ed/spec ed, yes a double major Luckily I have several tutors at work to help me with all of this.

Going on an NCL cruise tomorrow.
Bob's sister's wedding cruise.

Excited, but it's not Disney

And they do have boards, but it's on Cruise Critic which has every line on there, somehow it's just not the same as the DIS boards.
Not as extensive. There is no pm ing either.

I did find a thread for my cruise and have chatted a bit, but nothing like we do.

Anyway, we are having a meet and greet and some of the crew comes, I believe the captain even comes.

For some reason I believe that if you tell the cruise line you are on CC they will help you set up a meet and greet, so I'm wondering if they would do the same for DIS, or if we'd have to all meet on CC boards and then to request the meet.

I've got a thread started for our Dream cruise on there and invited people over to the DIS boards thread, thinking that they may not know about the DIS boards and how great they are


Oh, and made some magnets for us and Bob's parents and his sister and soon to be hubby.
Then when I posted them on our thread, the people were amazed!
Like I'm so awesome at this and why does anyone do this?
They'd never seen anything like them!

I of course mentioned how EVERYONE on our boards knows about door magnets! And showed them the thread on our boards where milleypie creates all kinds of designs for us to copy and edit and make our own.

So a few people asked me to make them one.

Wow, those CC people should really try our boards instead!

Hi!!!! I'm well, but I will be better once allergy season lets up a little! Have a great time on your cruise--I'm jealous. Does this group have another trip planned? I was cruising around last night trying to see if anyone had re-booked for 2011. Just wondering...
