Me too Karen.
I like to see them from a safe distance.
I dont even like them much through glass at Seaworld etc! - and yet I LOVE whales - could watch Shamu for hours
I
Note to self ... do this on the other end of the beach from Karen.

Thank you
Oh HA! I bet she'd be walking on the water!

I wouldn't be walking on water,... I'd be screeching running to shore at 100 miles an hour
Even when I'm in the water I have to constantly keep moving to keep the little things away from me. Just thinking about it makes my stomach churn. I've told this story several times, but, for the benefit of the newbies....
Several years ago I was relaxing on an inflatable lounger in the sea in Greece, occasionally scooping up handfuls of water and splashing myself to keep cool.
All was going well until...........one time, I scooped up a little fish in the handful of water and threw it on myself.

I kid you not.... it landed between my legs and was flapping all over the place. I panicked, looked down, saw the fish, fell off the lounger, realized I was in deepish water, panicked again, went under, spluttered back to the top, looked down , saw a lobster type pot underneath my feet, panicked again, went back under... finally grabbed on to the side of the lounger and managed to breathe..... what was Neil doing the whole time?....coming to my rescue?...... no............. he was laughing!
I've hated fish ever since..... I'm sure they're all out to get me!
PS - the morale of this story is.... dont accidently throw fish between your legs unless you want to nearly drown.
