That's what I'm worried about too. At Megan's school, there are 10 6th graders out with the flu. H1N1 is still the predominant strain circulating in Virginia right now. Seasonal flu is just starting to pick up a little. Our friend's 3rd grade daughter was just out with the flu too.

We are washing hands, avoiding touching our faces, and running away from sick people! Of course, that is a bit harder for Beth, being a nurse and all. It freaks the patients out if you run screaming from their rooms. :scared1::scared1::scared1: :rolleyes1

Matthew :cool2:

You aren't kidding about H1N1 being in Virginia!! The other elementary school in the subdivision hasd 185 kids out last week (Monday) and most of them had H1N1 (confirmed!) Becca is my hardest one to stay well - she puts her hands all around her face - drives me CRAZY!!! She had a fever last night too.... keeping our fingers crossed and bathing in lysol!! :scared1:

i think Cass took her princess Leia costume.:cloud9:
and i think Robins going to dress up like a nurse.:cloud9::love::laughing:

Gee, Beth dresses up like a nurse three times a week! :rolleyes1

Of course, then she goes to the hospital for 12 hours each time she does that too.

Matthew

I'm heading home (Yay!!!)

Now maybe I can get some preliminary packing done tonight (yay!!)

Just had the evening from hell.:sad2:

I heard a loud bang and yelp from the lounge. Run downstairs to find Ellis coming out of the lounge holding his head:scared1:

Part of the ceiling light fitting has just exploded:scared1: sending shards of glass everywhere:scared1: and it had cut the power off to all the lights so now we're in total darkness.

Ellis' head isnt cut luckily but bits did land on him and it shook him up.

I got the lights back on by torchlight in the garage, but cant use the lounge light so we sat there in semi darkness with just the one little lamp on. I picked up what glass I could see, only to find a blob of something stuck and melted onto the cream carpet:scared1: - looks like glass or metal or something:confused3

I go to turn the gas fire on and that just turns itself off after about 30 seconds and now wont come back on:confused3:eek: - what the heck is going on????:confused3

Neils miles away working and not due home til gone midnight.:sad2:

I'm going to bed before something else breaks.:sad2:

Geez, I need this cruise:sad2:

Karen, maybe this little story will cheer you up right now.:)

So, I walk into the house today after work and see our mail on the kitchen counter. I had no idea who could've done that. I'm the first one home at night so I always bring in the mail myself.

I called Chuck at work and asked if he stopped home during the day and he said no. All of a sudden our house phone rings and it's my neighbor sounding all confused.

She apparantely thought we were leaving for the cruise today rather than next Thursday and came over to pick up the mail and let the dog out until the sitter got here. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Poor woman was sooooo embarassed and must have apologized a hundred times. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Home for the evening...

The snow is falling and a fire is going in the fireplace. I got National Treasure from the library. I keep seeing National Treasure 2 Book of Secrets on Starz, but I haven't seen the first one in a few months.

I really like those movies.
Hey now....you're not talking about me are ya? Huh? Huh? Are ya? Are ya? Huh? Huh? :mic::hyper::chat::tongue:

:rotfl::laughing:
i can "fluff" with the best of em.:rolleyes1:laughing:
I don't think we will have any problems! That's all I have to say about that!
so right now, your MIL is your "bahama mama?"
On our last cruise while parasailing the the Bahamian crew on the boat kept calling Elaine Bahama Mama. She said its because she was the only one on the boat with a butt!

Good Morning All. We have just 7 days until we leave our house. The excitement at the Joseph's is palpable. Whereas they kids would often forget for two or three days to cut links off the countdown chain, they are now both going crazy every day when a new link is cut. Today is my last day off before vacation. I'm planning to get most of my last minute stuff done.

I called FL Tours the other day and they were very accomodating, we wanted to have a bottle of Martinelli's for the Limo ride and one for onboard the ship. (I looked into the cost of buying on board and it was pretty steep.) They told me that they'd have two cold ones wait on the Limo for us. ($15 which was not exactly cheap but at least I don't have to lug it around with me through airports.) I'll be arriving at the port a bit later than I thought as well. It turns out that their vehicles will all be busy transporting people from the Magic to the airport and WDW all that morning and so they hold their traffic from WDW to Port until 10am (makes sense, really) So, we'll probably be arriving at the port between 11am and 11:15. Still better than Disney Transportation was going to do.

I got selected for the second round of the Walt Disney World Mom's Panel. I was shocked. I figure there we far more literate people than I. But I got the e-mail yesterday. Sometime today I'll screw up the courage to answer the second round of essay questions. Here's my problem with continuing on with the panel. The training session at WDW is from Dec 4-8 the same weekend as opening day on Christmas tree lane. Which means that I either have everything done in advance this year (making my schedule even tighter than it was, or, delay the lighting of my lights until I return, which is kind of a bummer. Still, I don't really want to miss out on a great adventure if I don't have to. Decisions, Decisions...
:woohoo::yay: Hope you get it Steve!

My vacation starts Thursday. My last day of work then is Wednesday. I will be DISing until I get on the plane most likely, and that won't be on Friday.
