Good Morning Chris and Everybody

Nancy thought this would be her last day at subbing for a while even thought they have hired the new teacher she thinks she won't be done until Friday. Oh well that's three straight weeks for her . She told me last night she is going to make herself unavailable on the Submit list for a couple of weeks so she can have some time so we can be ready to go.
OH yes she has left me a honey do list. In fact I just got through washing the Kitchen and dining room floors

DH is away until Thrs. evening for a meeting and when I put Maddie to bed tonight, it broke my heart when she kept asking "Why can't Daddy be home to tuck me in?" As much as I tried to explain that he's away for work, it's still tough for her to understand. Last year when Daddy stayed home while she and I went to CA to visit friends, she didn't ask why he couldn't be there with us...now that we're home and its not fun time, she misses her daddy.

Awwww... Hugs to Maddie!! (Becca is like that too - and she's almost 8!!)

Thank you Karen. To all of my fellow cruisemates, this was a very hard decision to make. However, I wanted to make something special, and the plan I had would have taken four to six weeks. Also, when we had signed up for dis tag, we were not planning on moving. However, the move has turned into a stretched out experience, and I am having a hard time finding anytime to do anything. To all of you, I send out our sincere apologies. If anyone has already completed their gifts, please pm me, and I will try to reimburse you for them. Once again, I sincerely apologize.

Chris - I wanted to let you know, you are NOT getting out of getting a DiSTag gift from me so easily!! (Did Mike tell you how un-crafty I am??? .....) Yours is already made, so too bad, so sad - you are still getting a gift from me.

One thing we do in Scouts is something called SWAPS - Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere. Swaps are still the perfect way for Girl Scouts to meet each other and promote friendship. Each one is a memory of a special event or Girl Scout Sister. One thing I have learned is that not all people who go to an event will have SWAPS to trade, however ettiquette of SWAPS says even if you DON'T have something to trade, accept a SWAP from those who do have them.

So, Mr. FireFighter - your cabin is getting a SWAP from me! (in the form of a DisTag gift!)

BTW: Speaking for myself only - not everyone on the Tag list!

On a better note, my wife, daughter, and I will all still be at the Radisson. For those of you that have stayed there before, is there a restaurant in or near the hotel? We will be stopping at wal-mart on the way down, but I will still need a drink or two. We will also have tshirts, if they turn out. My cousin (goofy4ever) and I will be working on them probably this weekend or next. Do you just print out the logos onto iron on transfers? Feel free to im me step by step directions. I am not so good with home economics. Lol.

We will be at the Radisson too! There are still quite a few of us staying there.

If you get some iron on transfers from the store (Michaels, craft store) - there are pretty good directions on the box/package on how to do it.

Its not in stock,.. and not coming into stock for weeks

Finance day today at work!

Fiscal close is coming up and since we have a centralized system there is very little for us to do locally. We just have to make sure all of this year's income is deposited and that this year's expense is in the books by 9/30.

Good morning everyone! Sorry for the string of posts in a row - trying to make it up to 1000 before we leave for the cruise... I will have a DOOZY of a poem ready by then (better get started on it....

Had an early start to our morning. Becca joined the jog/walk club at school in the morning (well - I joined it FOR her!!) and she started that this morning. Basically, they walk (or jog) around the bus loop and for every lap they do, they get a popsicle stick.... at the end of the morning, they tally it up and record it on a sheet of paper. 5 laps = 1 mile. She did 4... and I'm proud of her!! Trying to work on getting her endurance up for the cruise!

My boss' baby shower is today, so I better get some work done so I can work on that this afternoon!!
