Ok, so I really don't remember this, but I think the guys were dreaming that they were drinking cognac and puffing cigars at this restaurant:

We headed over to the casino there and walked around a bit and then went back out to view the falls with the colored lights still on them(before they shut them off for the night).

We headed back into the US and ..... it costs $.50 to get back in!

Luckily Lori had lots of quarters and paid our way back into the US!

Thanks ladies It's been really hard to get on here lately, there just aren't enough hours in the day. I've been working a lot of extra hours lately and by the time I get home and get dinner and try and get to the laundry I've been pretty tired. My house is a disaster right now but oh well it will get cleaned some day.

Took me a while to catch up - been posting and posting and posting!! I LOVE IT!! I can't wait to see what upgrades people get and/or are offered!

I remember that when we originally booked, our Travel Agent booked us a GTY room, but we were assigned a room rather quickly.... I wish I had my orignial paperwork to verify that - but we got a good room none-the-less. I wonder if since we originally had a GTY room if they would change it again (without telling us - hope not!)

I'm having sinus issues today!! Grrrrrrr.... I opened the house windows yesterday to let some of the fresh air in and stupid allergies decided to act up.

She talked to 3 different people at DCL and they would not change it to GTY. The TA did say that they put it in the comments on our reservation.

I really hope that the upgrade fairly visits. Of course, with there being so few of the Cat 12's and so many open rooms above you, I think you still have a good shot.

Oh man, I owned one when it was Renault/AMC Man was that a horrible car. I'm sure that the purely French ones were okay but AMC was going under fast and they were not producing very good cars. At that time in my life it was all I could afford, so I bought it. It lasted exactly 5 years and literally fell apart on me. I could barely sell it for parts.

Steve - Rick will chat with you for hours on cars and anything gadgety!

Personally, it is your TA's fault and not DCL's! What they should do and this is what I would demand from them is to cancel your booking and rebook with a 12 GTY! Tell them to eat the cancellation charges..

Just what I was going to say - TA'a fault - Make them rectify for free.

Weight loss???? What is THAT??

I'm just trying to maintain - but I've gotten really bad the last couple weeks (with the SODA especially - since I don't like diet soda...) I'm going to try to start working out at least 3 times a day during my lunch hour starting tomorrow.... maybe I'll drop 10 pounds or so (of course, need to lose 70 totall... oh well!)

Well...we talked to the TA.... She said, Well, there was no guarantee that you were going to get an upgrade anyway. I said...We realize that, but you just took us out of the possibility all together. We know that there are going to be upgrades and because you booked it improperly, we are stuck with a stateroom under one of the bars.

Nice, huh?

We also said we have friends that booked a cat 12 GTY after we did and will probably get an upgrade and we won't.
