I'm sitting here on the couch with my littlest dd watching America's Funniest Home Videos - she is just giggling away and I LOVE hearing her laugh!! :happytv:

Have to admit, I'm doing some laughing as well!!! :rotfl2:

I've been feeling crummy with sinus issues today so I stayed home from church and since there was NOTHING on - I watched a couple of episodes of True Blood on demand. Not bad! I have read all of the books that the series was based on and while most of the characters are the same, there are significant differences. But I enjoy the show - I watched eppys 8 and 9 - so I think I have 2 more to go until I catch up.... don't worry about giving me spoilers - like I said - read the books! :-)
Ever since I was a kid, I have enjoyed vampire shows, movies, etc. In fact, my first rated R movie I ever saw was The Lost Boys. :lmao:

I am really looking forward to the finale tonight. Only 75 minutes more to go!:thumbsup2

Sam just came downstairs and said, "Dad, you are watching Shrek? Why are you watching Shrek?" I simply replied, "Because I like Shrek"

I guess they figure when we get old we can't enjoy a good animated movie! :confused3

I absolutely love that show and Kira loves watching it with me because I usually laugh so hard I am on the floor! :lmao:

Guess I am all alone...I'll check back occasionally.

You are not alone, too much foot ball and base ball watching today. Does any one have dish? They have a new channel called redzone? They keep skipping between games, made me crazy, but the boys like it!!

I really like Vampire things - but not the super graphic bloody stuff.... :-) That's why I can't watch the show too much.

Of course, I love me some Twilight and Vampire Diaries (I know - cheesy teenie-bopper/angst ridden romance vampire crud!)

:rotfl:

I LOVE Shrek! (I was watching some of it earlier today!)

We just got Beatles Rock Band and DH is about to play a song...looks sooooo neat!!! (I'm great on the drums and he likes the guitar)

I enjoyed Twilight in the movie theater with Elaine, but I have one very significant beef. They don't show fangs!!! During the baseball game when the bad vampires come they hiss and snarl but no FANGS!

Elaine stopped watching True Blood the minute Bill bit Sookie early in season 1. She didn't like the biting, so I guess in regards to vampires we are total opposites...I like fangs, she was repulsed by the biting! :lmao:

Loved that movie!

I don't think the vampires in Twilight show fangs - they just have really strong teeth - let me check with my resident Twilight expert - Abby...

Yep she just verified they just have super strong teeth.... no fangs.

The bloodiness kind of gross me out, but on True Blood it looks really fake!

Hi everybody!

I haven't left the house today.. I have finished the laundry :yay::yay: We just grilled brats -- I did good and ate a veggie burger but I REALLY wanted a big, fat beer brat smothered in spicy mustard and onions... :hyper: ....anyway...:rotfl2:

DD checked out a dessert cookbook from school last week - so we made lemon bars.. delicious. :thumbsup2 Good recipe - and easy:) - if anyone wants it.

If I can convince these kids to take showers and stuff I'm going to watch some TV.. then I'll probably be on a bit later when the kids are sleeping:surfweb:

How lame is that???? Almost as lame as the glowing in sunlight!

Yesterday when I was working at the family fun day in Bushnell Park in Hartford, I got a hot sausage grinder(CT speak for sandwich) with peppers. It was good!

Weight loss???? What is THAT??:confused3

I'm just trying to maintain - but I've gotten really bad the last couple weeks (with the SODA especially - since I don't like diet soda...) I'm going to try to start working out at least 3 times a day during my lunch hour starting tomorrow.... maybe I'll drop 10 pounds or so (of course, need to lose 70 totall... oh well!)

Hmm...I need about 60 and have the same problem: soda! I totally need it for the caffeine at night (hate coffee AND diet!). As for other times, I've been drinking soda when I had been drinking Crystal Light. After all these Vitamin water and flavored water companies came along, my grocery stores quit carrying Crystal Light. The one that still does doesn't always have the flavors I like.

SO... I was supposed to be working on losin weight for the cruise since May 2008! Instead, I have GAINED weight since then!:scared1:

When I booked the cruise 18 months ago - it was my lofty goal to lose all this weight - but you know what - I am healthy, I am happy .... I'm just fat - and I'm ok with that! :-)

Hey Angie/Beth -- have you guys tried the new diet Coke with Splenda?? I am used to diet Coke, but I've heard people that can't drink 'Diet' talk about how the Splenda is much more tolerable and more like Coke. :thumbsup2

I like it - I only use Splenda in my coffee (can't stand Sweet n Low) so I see why it's better, IMO. ;)

I read the Twilight series in July....you're not alone! Loved it! Haven't seen the movie yet though....

Thanks for the suggestion.... Coke Zero isn't so bad either. It's not that I 'CAN'T' drink diet - I just don't like it!!

There is an Arbys in my building and they have the BEST iced tea. I use Sweet N Lo for sweeting that and I like it (most people can't! I can't stand splenda or equal - weird!!!)

I'm goign to try to stick to water and water alone for the next 6 weeks! :-)

Ironically - I've only seen the movie once (in the theater) but I have read the books twice (each!) Love them - creative and well written!!!

WOO HOO! GOOGLEY!!!!!! (I'm still playing, Jeff!)
