Night.

Just tell DD that they have good meds for that, just that they have to stick your jaw with a HUGE needle first though.

I have to have 3 shots when I have my lower worked on. One in the back of the jaw, and then one on each side of the tooth.

Nite Angie and good luck tomorrow. I just took Julia to the dentist yesterday to have her back teeth sealed. After the hygenists were finished she was rinsing her mouth at the sink. When she turned around the dentist had walked into the room and Julia said in a VERY SASSY voice "WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN HERE?" I was mortified! :rotfl::rotfl:

Sam went to the dentist yesterday too for sealants.

Well - we are done at the dentist and Becca did AMAZING!!! No nitrous gas needed. They did her sealants on 3 of the teeth without a cavity as well. It was funny on the drive over, she was just asking "didn't we just GO to the dentist? Why do we need to go again?" Me being the "bad mommy" didn't tell her why (anticipation of bad stuff is WORSE for her).

She did amazing!! I'm so proud of her! Got a shot and everything.

Abby had to get a chip in her front tooth fixed (a kid in second grade kicked her in the face and got a small chip... since braces are coming soon, wanted to get it fixed before those went on).

My kids have shuffles. Sam is actually on her 2nd as she left her first in a pocket and it get washed.

They pretty much know the order of their songs, and rarely ask for help. Elaine has a Nano that she loves, and I have a 80GB Classic. That is another reason I am taking the computer on the cruise. We need to charge the iPods, espcially the shuffles. I will probably just buy an AC plug for the Classic and Nano, but the connector is different for the shuffles.

I have one. I use it when I walk. The only thing I can think of that I don't like about it is that you can't pick what song to play. Other than that it's small and clips on my shirt while I walk, don't have to worry about having a pocket to put it in, or having to carry it in my hand.

Thats what Ellis likes about the shuffle - small and clips on, whereas the nano would be swinging round his neck like a medalion:lmao:

I wish he'd make up his mind so I can getit ordered. The apple shop do free engraving too:banana:

BTW Steve....since I will have to wait 6 hours to ask my (also geeky) husband...

Is there a big difference between the 1st gen itouch and the current generation?

Flight frustrations aired - Things you do on planes that anger other passengers:

1. Thud, thud, thud. “Excuse me, would you mind stopping that?” THUD. THUD. THUD. If this sounds at all familiar then chances are you are among the 97.9% of travellers who loathe seatback kickers in the row behind. The figure comes from a poll by the travel website Travelocity, whose readers despised this favourite pastime of bored children more than any other travel irritant. What many travellers don't realise, however, is that rooting around in the back-of-seat storage pocket or leaning against the seat in front as they get up and down has much the same effect on their seething neighbours.

2. On a similar theme, the travel community TripAdvisor conducted a survey on family travel in April. It revealed that 79% of Britons believed there should be child-free zones on planes (interestingly, that figure includes 71% of parents). But it seems the children themselves are not the main target of travellers’ irritation: rather, it is their oblivious parents for not controlling them better. "The people travelling with kids and the people travelling without them tend to be equally vocal about how annoying the other group is," said Michele Perry, vice-president of global communications for TripAdvisor.

3. Some people read, some sleep and some wile away the long hours in the air by getting to know the people in the neighbouring seats. But while recounting your life story to complete strangers may seem like a friendly thing to do, beware the strained smile and glazed eyes. In another TripAdvisor survey, of the most annoying behaviour among air passengers, travellers who yabber nonstop – despite you sending clear signals you want to be left alone – made a surprise appearance at No 3 in the list.

4. Perhaps airlines should hand out smelling salts and air fresheners on long haul flights. It seems there is much call for them. Fellow passengers with bad breath and BO have been voted the very worst people to sit next to on a flight in a recent poll by the Travel search site Skyscanner. Almost one-fifth of respondents found such malodorous companions unbearable. Barry Smith, Skyscanner co-founder and director, said: “Take a shower and pack breath mints before boarding a flight if you want to stay on the good side of your fellow passengers. For any budding entrepreneurs, there is obviously a big market here for some form of nose plug.”

5. Eating pungent or crunchy food is another habit that gets your fellow travellers hot under the collar, according to TripAdvisor’s survey of annoying travel behaviour. Whiffy cheese-and-onion crisps, rustling sweets and egg and bacon sandwiches are all common offenders – but if it can be smelt or heard from a seat away, chances are you’re offending somebody.

6. Another olfactory offender: you have just settled on to the flight and are starting to think about your stomach, hoping to catch a whiff of approaching food, when another more unsavoury smell assails your nostrils – sweaty feet in the row behind. Bang! There goes your appetite, and with it any chance of a pleasant flight. Wantonly shoeless people were another candidate for the stocks in Skyscanner’s poll of the people you would least like to sit next to on an aeroplane. A spokesman for the company, Sam Baldwin, said: “While it may be more comfortable for you to remove your shoes, make sure you’ve got your odour eaters on if you want to stay on the right side of your fellow travellers.”

7. Partaking of a sip of wine with your meal is one thing. Downing your duty free and giving a rousing rendition of the national anthem is another. Drunken travellers also stumbled close to the top of the list in the Skyscanner poll of irritating fellow passengers. The company's spokesman Sam Baldwin says: “Loud drunkards are especially annoying; your heart sinks when you realise you’re going to be stuck behind a rowdy stag or hen party for the whole flight. Unless you’re part of the party yourself, of course!”

8. You know what to expect from economy class: small seats, limited legroom and minimal personal space. But any further encroachment on to our own little patch of airspace is enough to make the best of us fume. For such an apparently low-level offence, armrest hoggers were a perhaps surprising inclusion among the most despised categories in the Skyscanner survey. Sam Baldwin told us: “There’s always going to be conflict over that middle armrest. Maybe airlines need to introduce some sort of armrest timeshare system?”

9. One of the few recourses left to comfort in a cattle-class seat is to recline your chair and take a snooze. But even this can trigger acute bouts of air rage from your fellow passengers, it seems. The Tripadvisor poll listed reclining your seat without asking as one of the 10 most annoying travel habits. As airlines cut down on already meagre legroom in a bid to fit ever more seats on to their planes, it’s hardly surprising that passengers fear for their kneecaps. There is even a controversial little gadget called a Knee Defender on the market, which prevents the seat in front from reclining.

10. Stocking up on duty free goodies is one of the few distractions during long waits in the airport. But precious overhead luggage space is another battle ground for passengers, according to the TripAdvisor study. Stowing too much baggage or too slowly both infuriated the poll’s respondents, and taking luggage down just as soon as the plane has landed was another common bugbear.

11. So far we have only scratched the surface of all the habits that irk our fellow travellers. The surveys all highlighted a multitude of other offenders: the snorers, the dribblers, the floppers and the sneezers among them. Then there are the people getting up before the seatbelt sign is turned off, and those that read over their neighbours’ shoulders.

How many of those can you identify with?

:lmao::rotfl2::lmao: This is great! I have sat next to everyone of these.

Mornin' all....

Just catching up, and then I need to put my nose to the grindstone here at work. I will be off 2 hours tomorrow for school registration, then Friday we'll be leaving for Minneapolis for a long weekend. We're meeting my brother, SIL, and niece at a hotel there - I haven't seen them in almost 4 years! My mom is going too, so it will be a nice little family reunion. My brother lives in North Dakota, so we don't get to see them much.

Ooh...have a good time then Jen.

Did anyone see that the Eastern Magic this week got re-routed to a double-dip Western. Remember when we were all thinking of booking before the dates came out and we were hoping for that itinerary for our cruise?

Yep. Don;t know if you remember Dave and Bev from KK1. They're on it at the moment and were really looking forward to Tortola. They are also staying on, on Saturday, doing B2B. Unfortunately they will now do the same ports as this week.:sad1:

:banana::banana:First Day of School!!:banana::banana:

Here is Emily with her friend, Reilly. Reilly has spent the last week with us; she returns to her home in Gulf Breeze, FL, today. She is one of Emily's best friends and we will all miss her.

Wow...how grouwn up they all look. Thanks for sharing Paige.

Was she nicer than Julia?:goodvibes

LOL!! I am not allowed to go back there - my presence "distracts" them! (Plus, my BFF is the office manager and we just chatted - she just got back from WDW and Universal and I needed the scoop!)

Sam told me the same thing this morning! :lmao:
I bet Becca will think the same thing once the novacaine wears off!

Used to be like that for me too, but now that I am dong three peoples jobs never a slow moment. When I did financials here had prelims out by the 6th and finals by the 10th. Now that Dallas is doing them I am still cleaning up prelims and it's the 19th!!! Used to use Mas 200 and FRX, now we use something called MRI, not my favorite.

We are having to get rid of FRx as it's not going to be supported as a reporting feature after next year (or keep it and cross our fingers that nothing goes wrong and we need support!) :rotfl:

You did tell us...Way to go Angie. You als said to sit next to you as you all win. You can be our lucky charm.

Dave and I were talking about all the amazing things that have happened to both of us in our lives - how many things we have "won" (radio stations are my forte) and neat experiences (he was up on stage when we were in NYC last year seeing Spamalot on Broadway....). We are truly blessed!

I don't know how they've changed the shuffle since Stuart and Leah had one but neither they or I liked it much. No easy way to pick the music out that you want to hear. Stuart was constantly asking me to find a particular song and I would have to click through 50 songs to get to the one he wanted. Smaller capacity is nice on the shuffle because you really don't want too many songs on it for the aformentioned problem. Stuart has the nano now and really likes it. I also put cartoons and they three stooges on it and he'll watch them constantly. Leah has my old iPod (I have both the iPhone and the iTouch, I know, I'm a massive geek) It's big for her and so she really only uses it when we're driving.

We got Abby the Nano for Christmas last year and she loves it. Of COURSE she wants a Touch... I had one until I got the iphone earlier this year. We also got a free ipod Touch (8g) with our new iMac computer, but we sold it so we could purchase our new underwater camera (got the same kind that Karen suggested...same model since I liked your pics!)

Still can't beleive there are schools starting in Virginia!!! We still have 3 weeks from yesterday - ARGHGHGHG!!!
Gulf breeze is right down the road!!!

Enjoy your empty house!!

I was going to say that exact thing, Joanne!! Love Gulf Breeze!! Does Reilly go to Gulf Breeze High school?

IS IT EASY TO DOWNLOAD VIDEO ETC??? - I'm totally useless at stuff like that:rolleyes1 Where do you download from?:confused3 what software etc do you need?

Itunes is GREAT and really user friendly. the only problem we have is that we have too many computers in our house and syncing up our libraries is hard! But it's really an easy user friendly program!

I have the purple Ipod not sure what it it called and I love it. Megan has to load the music for me. I have to listen to her comments about all of the 70's music I have especially the Bee Gees. She was down loading a couple of Lynard Skinner and she said I did not think you liked country music. :scared1: Country is she out of her mind. That she gets from her father.:lmao:

Trying to work hard, but really just hardly working! LOL (Boss is lurking around, so I have to be "stealth" in my posting!) :rotfl2::scared1:
