All caught up - flew through so apologies if I missed anything or anyone.

Tag players - seems we lost Laurie while I was away. Please delete her from your list (if any of you have a list that is:lmao:)

I need to get one of those. I'm assuming it's on Cass' site right?

BTW, Leah's first day at school went very well. Not so good in the morning though. The Kindergartners have half days. Leah is in the afternoon group. She was all ready for school when we dropped Stuart off. But could not understand why she wasn't being dropped off. She was pretty mad and felt cheated when we took her back home. She counted down the three hours it would be until she was able to go. Once there, she was off like a shot to her classroom. Some parents got tears and hugs from their little ones, not us. "When are you leaving, Daddy?" That's what I got. Oh well. She was VERY happy with her first day. Didn't get homework like her brother, so Laura pulled out some worksheets she has laying around and they did math problems. (Leah's choice not ours. The girl drives herself, craziest thing!)

Steve, I remember Thomas's first day of Kindergarten - he came into the room, found his spot at the table, sat down to start a little project the teacher set out for them and said, "Bye Mom!". So, you're not the only one!

Good morning everyone. Jay and I had a great time last night. I took my Men's Fellowship group (Jay is a default member) to the local car racetrack for the Wednesday races. To say that he enjoyed it was an understatement! He loved seeing the cars speed around the track, the occasional crash, and really liked the 100 ft street drag races. An interesting thing happened with the drag races. The first and second place finishers were not the Mustang GT's, or Camaro's, or Mopar Classics. The winning cars were not cars at all, but older Dodge Ram Pickups with Diesels!!!! What I noticed is that the people that had really fast cars, couldn't pop the clutch well enough and would often spin their tires way too much. The trucks stayed in 4WD and wouldn't spin much at all. I would have been embarassed if I had a $40K Mustang GT and got beat by a Dodge Ram Diesel! It was a great night.
Well, I totally jiggered my vacations plans. It was Chris' fault. He asked me if I was still staying at the Radisson even though I'm going to WDW on the 23rd. That got me to thinking. I'd be far easier and not much more expensive to say at WDW. Looked into it and yes, it's doable.

I'm now staying at Port Orleans: Riverside on the nights of the 22nd and 23rd. I'm using DME from transport from Airport to WDW and bought the DCL transfers from WDW to Port (that probably means that I'll be a bit later than most of you.) But the transfers were the same cost as the rental car and I don't have to hassle with anything. I'm keeping everything a secret from the kids. So they'll be surprised!
Sure, blame it on me!!! Glad things are coming together and it should be a great time for your family. I would imagine that the DCL transfers would be a neat way to start a cruise. Our vacations always have worked out that cars were cheaper due to the size of our travel party.

We are staying at Port Orleans: Riverside post cruise. I am really looking forward to it. For a couple of years, I have been itching to find a way to convince Elaine to stay there for either a WDW vacation or post cruise. I am hoping she likes it enough and wants to stay there for our next WDW vacation in a couple of years.

The faded baseball cap on Roger is the sign of a true fan. :thumbsup2 I seemed to have misplaced my favorite Yankee hat. I got it at cap night 4 years ago. I think Jay might have taken it somewhere, or left it somewhere. it was really comfortable, and had that good faded look.

I've taken you off the Radisson list.

Just before the cruise Karen and/or Jen will send all the Dis Tag players a final list so you can print it off. Just remember to be at the 3pm Mickey Pool meet for any updates to room numbers after upgrades :thumbsup2

Just noticed - this is my 500th post! Woo hoo!!!!

I have been told that they offer an in port special that has a facial, massage for $109. Megan and I want to do that. If the schedule is the same it should be on the day we are in St Martaan.

Wow! Good deal, but then you couldn't go out on the island for too long that day?:confused3
