Ummmm, maybe. :cutie:

:lmao: I knew you would have started:lmao:

I am gathering stuff together, but nothing in suitcases yet.

However, I do have a 4 column packing list written out - usually half my packing is done ahead of time in my head/on paper, then I just get it all in to the bags a couple weeks ahead of time.
:goodvibes

I'm a list girl too.;)

I've been throwing some stuff in there that I know I won't be using before then :thumbsup2:goodvibes Plus my Dis Tag gifts have been in there for about 4 months now :lmao:

:thumbsup2

How do you know how much an upgrade will cost?

The pricing right now from my Cat 10 to a Cat 7 on DCL's site is $520. Since I get a 10% reduction for my onboard booking, it is $468. The prices haven't changed in almost 2 years.

I won't go for a balcony in port unless it is $300 or less. Even then, I don't know.

For us Upgrading right now would cost ~$550 that would take the four of us from Cat 9 to Cat 6. I'd like to do that but unless I find a cache of money someplace it's not happening. If Disney called me and offered to upgrade me to Cat 6 for $300 or less, I'd probably go ahead and get it because I perceive it as a deal (esp since if things remain the same, I'll not be upgraded for free)

I think I have heard of people being offered an upgrade for $400 but I don't remember from what Category to what Category. Or even how many were in their parties. (I'm not sure it was stated.)

Jeff - read the posts before you respond. :rotfl:

Exact same thoughts as you Steve. Did you book onboard or not? The $550 should be discounted by 10% if you did. :thumbsup2

Oops! I forgot to answer your question. You can go to the DCL site and essentially try to book a cabin on our cruise. It will then tell you all of the categories and their prices. The difference between what you have now and what you want would be what you will need to pay (aproximately) Oh, and if you re-booked onboard, I believe that you'd get your 10% off that upgrade amount as well.

Again Jeff, read before posting. :headache:

Right now we are on Deck 7 between the forward and midship elevators. I would rather a full size, but i'd be content with the two small ones. My parents were on Deck 1 for their first DCL cruise and they liked it. They said it was very quiet and very convenient getting on and off the ship.

I'm really surprised DCL doesn't put the Deck 1, Cat 9 rooms at a different price level. They clearly aren't the same as a Deck 2 room. Maybe make a Cat 9A and Cat 9B. Give a $100 reduction or so.

Well it doesn't appear that I'm alone:

Guess no one wants to talk. :sad1:

Just think, in 2 months, it will be the week before the cruise. A lot of the US BOBers will be finalizing everything and getting ready to head on down.

I know the UKers and Canadians will be in early, how early are the Americans getting down to FL?

For those of you who have stayed at Caribbean Beach, which non-premium location do you prefer?

We've never stayed there and I was looking at it. It looks like Jamaica would be my choice, if I could have one, building 45 in particular.

Any thoughts?

How busy do the "quiet" pools get there?

I know at PO-R, the quiet pools in the Mansion area are usually dead, but the Bayou QP's tend to have a few people. At Coronado, you'd get maybe 10 people total, including ourselves.

Just the day before for us....Oct. 23rd staying by MCO so I can get all the various members of my group on the ground transportation to port the morning of the 24th. I have it down to $32/person round trip (including tip) and no one has to drive! Right now, I have us arriving at port bewteen 9:30 and 10 to begin the fun!!:banana::banana:

We are heading down the afternoon of 10/23.

I am on hold with DCL.The military & florida rates are out. We will lose our 200.00 one board credit but saved $$452.00

Woohoooooo more KK for us!!

Hi Jeff :wave2:

I see the hot topic right now is whether or not to upgrade....for those of you who received a bit of pixiedust: and got a free upgrade, how did you find out? Did Disney call you? Maybe 4th time is a charm for me?? Right now we are a Cat 9 on deck 2, but I would love to have a veranda...maybe if I can upgrade for less than $400, I might bite ;)

This may sound crazy, but I'm not sure I'd want an upgrade. Right now, all the family is in a row of 4 cabins (cat 8) on deck 7 so it would be a bummer to get split up.

Or would it.....:idea::rotfl::rotfl2:

Just booked with DVC for Sept, everything I wanted was full or we had to stay two different places, so we are in Saratoga Springs for two nights. At least we can walk to DTD.
