Paige- where is that clip are thread you were talking about? I can't seem to find it?

That's us. And when I do put on shorts and a shirt it is for such a short time I usually wear them again. DON'T OVERPACK!!!!!! I do it everytime but get better each time.

I use to have Suz pack and then when she thought she was done, have her take out 1/3 of the stuff.

We have it down to a science now and very little gets unused now.

Plus, we're not afraid of the washers and dryers on the Magic. :rotfl:

That sounds like a lot of fun. I was planning on meeting Angie and girls for lunch tomorrow but I now have to go to Roanoke to meet my mom and drop off Alex. :headache: She wants to go to WV for the week.

Sorry we won't be meeting tomorrow! :-( We have a few more weeks, so we will have to do it before school starts. We are eating at Michie's tavern and taking the tour and then going peach picking at Carter Mountain. Should be FUN!!

Me too, I bring less every time. Two swim suits, 8-10 t shirts, 2-3 shorts. One jeans a few nice shirts and then the dinner clothes.

I am a NOTORIOUS overpacker. I am most comfortable in tshirts and shorts/capris and I was hoping that would be acceptable for most of the time. Good to know that is acceptable dress. Now I need to get me some Disney related tees!

I'm pretty bad about overpacking. This will be the first trip I've had to pay for the first checked bag, so I'm really going to have to rein in what I pack! I'm hoping to pay for no more than 2 bags going, and 3 bags coming home.

Angie - just make Disney t's!! Much cheaper! I could even try to DISign something for you (although I'm not nearly as talented as Cass or MG!)....

Elaine is a notorious overpacker. I stand on the scales and weigh our luggage the night before we fly out to make sure our large luggage are under the 50 lb limit. Usually they are 45-46 lbs.

Even though we will be in bathing suits all day on the cruise, she will have an outfit for each of us for the day, each day, then evening wear, etc.

I have one outfit planned for me anyway! :lmao: I am wearing jeans and a hoodie down on the plane. It will be late October so chilly in New England. I figure planes can get chilly so the hoodie will come in handy. If its warm, I will just take it off. I will then wear the same thing home on the plane that way it doesn't cut into my precious luggage allowance set by JetBlue and AirTran!:santa:

I didn't read back to see which one Paige was referring to, but here's one:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2147014

Also, there's one person posting - milliepie - and she has a link in her siggie to her photobucket with TONS of clipart and designs.

There are also several people on the creative DISigns board that post links to their photobucket accounts for people to use Mickey Head designs, etc.

By the time I pack oor snorkle stuff, extension cord, clock, wrinkle release etc I don't have much room for clothes, I also heard you can only get one bag per guest now?? Does any one know?

Joanne,

I'm not at home, so I can't show you all the clipart I have, but I had this in my photobucket:

It's kind of hard to see, but if you look at the logo on the t-shirt you can see the clipart I have - it's Captain Mickey steering.

I may have more at home too....

I don't think DCL has a luggage allowance - I think the restrictions are all from the airlines. I could be wrong though....

What do you mean about one bag?
That you can't bring more even if you pay for them?
I hope not!

I need 2.
Jet Blue is free for the first bag, $20 for the second, when I booked.
I think for June it would be $30 for the second.

I read on some thread that they are only sneding out one per guest, I am not sure cause the memory is going these day!! Let em see if I can find that thread again.

Can you send it to me please? No hurrry I guess I could do iron ons and then my friend with her sewing machine can embroider arround it.

Heather my dear..did you think because Karens away a poem wasnt necessary?:rolleyes1:laughing:

OK....I not very good at poems...so I think this is fitting....

Tell everybody I'm on my way
New BOB friends and new places to see
With blue skies ahead
I'm on my way
And there's no where else I'd rather be

Tell everybody I'm on my way
And I'm loving every step I take
With the sun beating down
I'm on my way
And I cant keep this smile off my face:)

Cause there's nothing like seeing
Each KK'er again
No matter what the distance between
And the stories that we tell
Will make you smile
Oh it really lifts my heart

So tell DCL that I'm on my way
New friends and new places to see
And to sleep under the stars
Who could ask for more
With the moon keeping watch over me

Not the wind, Not the rain
Can change my mind
The sun will come out, wait and see
And the feeling of the wind in your face
Can lift your heart
Oh there's nowhere I would rather be

So tell everybody I'm on my way
And I just can't wait to be at my DVC home
With the sun beating down
I'm on my way
And nothing but good times to show
I'm on my way

Yes, I'm on my way

Ok, I am going way out of my comfort zone here.

I am starting to design door signs and possibly t shirts. I am designing them on my home computer, then I will print everything on my work computer. I am going to be ordering a new color laser printer for my office so that should work nicely. I'm listening to my Disney playlist on iTunes for inspiration. James Newton Howard's Flying is on right now!

Wish me luck!

Good luck Chris, I'm sure you will do great!

I'm about to head out to lunch, but I have a question I hope you other non-first time cruisers can help me with.

I'm starting to compile a clothes packing list and I realized that I don't really know what people wear on the boat during the day.... I know we shouldn't wear shorts to dinner, but what about during the day - tshirt and shorts acceptable?? Any pics would be appreciated (I'm too lazy to search for them myself now... LOL)
:rotfl2:
Thanks!

Mostly t-shirts and shorts or bathing with and without cover ups :thumbsup2

There were thongs at the Adult pool on the repo. :rolleyes1

I'm just saying. :rotfl:

Sorry Dawg, no pictures.

On previous cruises, I've seen thongs at the Mickey Pool :scared1:

I have a picture of what I'm wearing. Want to see it? :lmao:

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!

we're heading down to Cassies this weekend.:woohoo::banana:

Theres a Disney collectors show in Dayton this weekend also, so we're going to go there. Just what we need...more Disney park signs.:rolleyes1

You need a bigger garage first :goodvibes Have fun!! Save some money for the BOB :cool1::thumbsup2

watching the planes right now. theres an airshow at the nearby airbase this weekend and they are practicing right now. very cool.:cool1: i can see it from the front porch.:thumbsup2

Rob would LOVE to be there!! He drags me to all the air shows. Thank goodness there's not too many around here ;)

What about the lady who does the fish extenders. Would she be able to give you the pattern, or point you in the right direction.

Joanne, I know which clipart you are talking about and I haven't found it yet :guilty:

I have 3 that you might want to use....
