Not alot left of the weekend now Bernie. It's 5.00pm. We've just had a late Sunday lunch and just finishing off some things around the house.

Oh yea, I was just wondering if you knew the specifics.

Well, we are off to the Sacramento farmer's market. Hopefully the temps will stay in the low 90's today.

My husband got out of bed today and stated his usual "Are we there yet"

A dead cat?!:eek::scared1::sad1::sad2:

Where did that horrible phrase come from?

Robin, I thought you liked animals:squirrel::dog::fish::cat:paw:

:lmao::lmao: You know...I thought about you when I said that. I was going to put a disclaimer in there. Guess I should have. :rotfl2:

That's a very old saying.

Yes, I love animals...you know me better than that. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Not sure if we'll know until we see our navigators?:confused3

Don't know how often they change the activities plans:confused3

We have 2 cats. Hopefully the puppy likes cats too.:thumbsup2 I am going in a couple of hours to meet my mom and dad and pick him up.

Uh, Oh, I think those 2 cats will be ruling that poor puppy around!

Maybe not, but I know of many households (ours was one) where if the cats came first they made that poor dog suffer:rotfl:

Unless that cute little pup gets the upper hand first on them and isn't afraid.

Our cats taught our sheltie to be like a cat.
He used to groom himself like a cat all the time.
The vet thought it was funny and very typical of pups in a cat household.

Also funny, our cats would gang up on our dog and inspect him to see if he was dirty! Then they'd be washing him behind the ears etc.:rotfl:

A sad end, however i take my hat off to the fact they never stopped looking, many moons ago i knew about some of the lengths they went to to try and bring him home dead or alive and from time to time i'd visit the family web-site to see if they'd found out anything new,i take comfort from the fact that now his then wife (she remarried)and his family can finally lay him to rest at home where he belongs like any other fallen hero....:thumbsup2

WASHINGTON - The remains of the first American lost in the Gulf War have been found in Iraq, the military said Sunday, a sorrowful resolution of a nearly two-decade old question about the fate of Navy Capt. Michael "Scott" Speicher.

The Pentagon said the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology on Saturday positively identified the remains, buried in the desert and located after officials received new information from an Iraqi citizen about a crash.

Speicher's disappearance has bedeviled investigators since his fighter was shot down over the Iraq desert on the first night of the 1991 war.

The top Navy officer said the discovery is evidence of the military's commitment to bring its troops home. "Our Navy will never give up looking for a shipmate, regardless of how long or how difficult that search may be," said Adm. Gary Roughead, Chief of Naval Operations.

The Pentagon initially declared Speicher killed. But uncertainty — and the lack of remains — led officials over the years to change his status a number of times to "missing in action" and later "missing-captured." The family Speicher left behind, from outside Jacksonville, Fla., continued to press for the military to do more to resolve the case.

Family spokeswoman Cindy Laquidara said relatives learned on Saturday that Speicher's remains had been found.

"The family's proud of the way the Defense Department continued on with our request" to not abandon the search, she said. "We will be bringing him home."

Laquidara said the family would have another statement after being briefed by the defense officials; she did not know when that would be.

Yes, sad but good for the family to finally have closure.

Well, I did yet another thing for cruise planning today. I made our ADR for lunch when we get off the cruise. Since we are staying at Port Orleans Riverside, I thought we should grab lunch at Downtown Disney. We will take the boat down and have lunch at Rainforrest Cafe.

Good for you, Chris! I meant to chime in when you were debating RC vs T-Rex. We went to T-Rex in June and it was packed! It took a while to be seated, and while the restaurant was lots of fun for the kids, it was quite noisy, so the "seniors" may not like it. If your kids enjoy RC, then you've made a wise decision. We went to T-Rex to try something new and our kids loved it, but RC would have been just as nice for them.
