Well, I'm thinking of biting the bullet and getting some tix for MNSSHP on the Night of the 23rd. They still have tix avail and I'm not sure when we'll have another chance to do it again. I'm waiting to see what my paycheck is like this friday and if I've got a bit extra, I'll go ahead and purchase the tix.

Happy Humpday Wednesday

Okay, a few pictures from tonight.

First up, Elaine being silly with a soldier. He insisted she wear the helmet. I think she is ready for battle. What do you all think??

Next up is Jay on a police motorcycle...

And finally, Elaine just had to get on the motorcycle as well. Lately she has really been wanting to ride motorcycles. She has begged one of our neighbors to go on his, but hasn't been able to yet.

We have 2 cats, 2 parents working odd shifts, and 2 young girls who don't even remember to give the cats their breakfast every morning. So how in the world could we EVER take care of a puppy!!!:confused3:scared1:

Good morning everyone...

Just a quick post before I head out to the Chevrolet dealer to have my van serviced. I am hoping it just needs an oil change as I am going to be waiting for it.
Hey Chris. I saw the movie about a week or two. I'm sure that it had mixed reviews because I was pretty mixed about it myself. Sometimes I have to sit and ruminate about some movies before I really decide that I liked them or not. This one I'm still pretty undecided about.

You've probably already seen it by the time you read this because of CA time. Laura promptly fell asleep watching it so her vote is Boring! I watched it all the way through. Suspension of disbelief was very necessary as the premise of the catastrophe was pretty farfetched, that kind of destruction would be possible with a sun going supernova but not just sunspot activity. But, that aside, I thought that the resolution was open to interpetation. Those who believe in a Supreme Being will appreciate the fact that the ET's could have been heaven-sent while those who do not will merely think of them as ET's. Regardless, I'm not sure that the message was particularly Christian since Revelation tells of a much different scenario. But then again it wasn't particularly offensive either.

From a cinematographic standpoint, I didn't think that the film was anything too special. I thought that the director did do a good job of making the "visitors" fairly creepy but I thought that the mood wasn't quite relayed as well. I really liked how the mood in "The Sixth Sense" was conveyed. There was a funeral-like heaviness set across the entire film that matched the subject matter. In "Knowing" the mood was more of an action-adventure film which, to me, didn't fit the plot-line.

It was entertaining which is the purpose of a movie. I thought that I may get something out of it once I had chewed on it a bit but, it was pretty much as it was. Nothing real deep there. I'd Rate it a C+
I enjoyed it up until the alien part, then of course the ending was just terrible in my opinion. I enjoyed the story of the numbers, and disasters, but I think the supernatural aspect could have been handled much better.

I may write more of a response later, but I got to get going...got an 8:00 am appointment!

All done and back at the office. All it needed was an oil change and tire rotation. :thumbsup2

I did just walk across the street to Dunkin Donuts to grab some donuts and chocolate milk since I left the house before I had a chance to eat breakfast this morning.

My breakfast rituals are one of my few guilty pleasures. I typically have two Little Debbie Snacks and a tall glass of milk. We ran out of Little Debbies, and I had to leave the house at 7:45, so I had a feeling a Dunkin Donuts run was in order when I got back to the office.

That was good news Chris. Please don't mention the D word - I had to make do with Oatmeal this morning.

Hot and Humid here too. We are expecting more severe storms this afternoon and evening. :headache: I just hope we don't have more flooding at the office!

It's humid here today.

When did Karen leave again...oh yes yesterday evening.:rotfl:
