All Virginia BoBers....(and surrounding areas...)

Good afternoon! Just wanted to let you know that me and my girls (and a couple of their friends) are heading up to Carter Mountain Orchard and then to Michie's Tavern (near Monticello) (or somewhere less touristy - will take suggestions!! on Saturday in case anyone wants to come along for a meet!

We are going to be picking peaches - yummmmy!!!!

Let me know a time you all will be there. What kind of food you lookin for?

Paige,
She's coming on a great week. The weather has been really nice, bit cool on the coast but who cares it's Monterey!

Is that thing even safe to walk around in? I see it's being held up on one side. :scared1:

:rotfl:Yes, its quite sturdy inside. It leans due to a collapsed mine shaft that ran underneath it. It has a 4 foot difference one side to the other. I must say it was wierd walking through it. You felt drunk before you had a glass of anything:rotfl: - I ownder if it looks more "normal" when you're drunk:rotfl:

Afternoon all.

That looks fun Karen.

It was:banana:

Sunscreen at the ready Karen:rotfl:

Get your umbrella at the ready for when I come back:rolleyes:

Karen Pictures please! :yay:.

No worries on that score:lmao:

Hi Karen
That place looks fab, can you give me the address.
We are down Stratford next week, shame you wont be there:sad2:
If the Tudor house is nice can you also let me know about that.
Have a great time in Paphos, we went many years ago, we loved it:thumbsup2
At least you'll see the sun.
Cath

If you google "crooked house" you can find the postcode etc for Tom tom:thumbsup2 - its not too far from the Black Country museum - thats a good place to visit - again - just google it - it'll tell you all about it on their website. Dont bother with Dudley zoo though - pretty useless. Another good place would be Drayton Manor theme park:thumbsup2 - nothing like Disney, but still plenty to do.:goodvibes

Had a nice day today - "Oak House" -(a tudor house) was first on our list - only took about an hour to go round, but still nice for a local thing to do, then onto "Crooked house" - good fun - felt drunk without a drink!, then onto the "Pie factory". Wierd restaurant place - made to look like a butchers. They are famous for their huge pies - Desperate Dan pie is a meal in a pot with a pastry lid - enough to feed at least 3 people. The man on the table ordered on  - he got about half way through it.
I had a "posh n becks":rotfl: - aka steak and stilton and Neil had a minted lamb - (cant remember the silly name for that one). Both were huge and both delicious. Ellis refused to enter into the spirit and ordered pizza:rolleyes::rotfl:

Now back home all packed and ready to fly:cool1:

Please pm me if anything interesting occurs:goodvibes

Make sure you leave me crumbs to find the new thread:thumbsup2... and dont forget to get cracking on your tag gifts :thumbsup2

Later peeps, I'll be back in a week:goodvibes

Actually I might be back later if theres nothing on tv:lmao:

I'm pulling this plan out of thin air (ha ha ha).... so if we are going to eat at Michie's tavern, we were going to eat around noon. Any other place, we are flexible (if you have any suggestions - I'm game!!) My kids aren't picky, but the other 2 kids I have with me MAY be a little moreso.... as long as it has a kid friendly menu - we are good.

:-) Hope we can meet!! :-)

At work doing a few things now. There is a big Army event up in Maine this week, so nothing is coming across the email. Its a nice quiet week.

Safe flight Karen, Neil and Ellis. I'd say forget WW whilst you're away, but it looks like you already have. Did you loose yesterday?

Just in case no one knows who Desperate Dan is:
