Lets hope it comes down a little further the next couple of months. I could really use some additional onboard credit!

Thanks Jeff. :thumbsup2

It would be interesting to hear if DCL gave the credit afterall seeing the price tanked right after the determination day. But then again, maybe they buy quarterly contracts on that day.

Luckily, I booked the cruise I transferred to this one on the KK cruise, so long before the fuel surcharge went into effect.

Our family of four will be on the Oct 24 Magic for our 3rd Disney cruise and we are very excited. My daughters (8 & 13) are interested in finding others girls their age before and during the trip. We ususally travel with another family, but they couldn't come this trip. This leaves the girls to entertain each other....which usually ends up in fighting! So, are there any girls entering the 3rd or 8th grades that will be on this trip?

Another question - does anyone know how much a taxi would cost from the cruise ship to Coral World/Coki Beach on St. Thomas?

Thanks!

Hi. I'm Lori traveling with my DH Scott and our 3 kids. Alex, my oldest daughter is going into the 8th grade. Julia is going into 1st and Harrison will be 4. There is a kids thread for this cruise and there are several of our kids over there talking.

Hi all,

Looks like I can't dis any more from the office. They did some major network changes this week end. We could not even log on until after lunch, have not recieved any emails since friday and we can't print. Why do they do this &^( at month end?????

Now I get to move all this home this week, so I am sure I will be down another day!!

I feel ya--the end of the month is our bust time too and it never fails that they schedule all upgrades, meetings, etc the last week. Plus, I can't dis from work either. Got to love our jobs :rotfl:

Ok Paige have to ask.....do you find it somewhat "real" or is it kind of like someone in the medical field watching ER. (that show used to drive my nurse of a mom crazy, it was one of my favorites.)

I love this show, so not real!!!! We never sat around like they do!!! I wish housing was that nice!!!

DISCLAIMER: Just my own opinion follows, and my husband would have my head if I didn't clarify that I am a Marine Corps wife....:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I just started watching it in the last couple of weeks. The really dramatic stuff (giving birth on a pool table, a bomb in the bar, etc) is not real obviously. Some things do strike a chord with me though. In some instances, they get the essence of the military family(just my opinion though) , like when the kids ask if daddy is going to die, why is he always leaving, teen who is angry about moving, etc.

Oh, and yeah, I'm with Joanne on the sitting around--except in Okinawa...man did we sit around have some drinks (coffee in the morning, spiked coffee in the afternoon, and wine in the evening--not all in one day) and "hold court." Good times.:rotfl:

Edited: Every military wife I know is always in full makeup in bed. And we all wear sexy nightgowns. Right Joanne?! That's comedy right there!

Do you have a Disney Visa Mike? Start racking up those rewards points and then you can use them on the ship. I know of a few BOBers who have a ton of rewards points already!! :woohoo:

Not me. I only have a little over 300 and so does Tony. :yay:

That's about how much I have. I was pretty happy with that!

We are going the 31st. We will probably leave Port Canaveral after breakfast, take our time and check in early at our resort. I am thinking we will grab a decent lunch at DD since we will do counter service for dinner in the park.

In the afternoon we will rest and swim for a little bit. I will probably make ressies at either Pop Century or All Star Movies sometime this week. My kids haven't been to the World since 2/2005 and I don't think Jay remembers a lot, so it should be a fun time. Elaine and I just had a debate about the kids dressing up. She said we already agreed that they could dress up as pirates as that will work for pirate night too.

I just don't want too much luggage!!!

Did you see that Disney is keeping the Free Dining until December? I wish I knew that ahead of time, I'd have planned to spend more time in Orlando!

By the way...for anyone making t-shirts....

Our Michael's is advertising 5 for $10 t-shirts - awesome price! I am going to go get some this week just because you can't buy regular t-shirts that price! It's for adult and kids' sizes.

I gotta check that out!

O.k. help the slow girl here....so how do I get in on this? Which rotation is it?

I think that we're still trying to decide which rotation will be the best. PM Joanne to see who you can be paired with.

Okay. I've been tracking the Room availability for our cruise for some time now. (Looking to see if Upgrades will be possible) For the most part I haven't seen a lot of change from week to week. But this week I did see some changes that I thought that everyone may be interested in.

For quite a few weeks I have been seeing lots of rooms avail for Cats 11,10,9,8 and 4 with GTY only rooms in Cats 5,6 and 7.

this week was the first change I have seen in a while.

First there is changes in prices. Cats 8 thru 11 have become slightly cheaper. (based on family of 4 with 2 young children)
Cat 11 was $3815.32 is now $3772.60 Change -$42.72
Cat 10 was $4015.32 is now $3972.60 Change -$42.72
Cat 9 was $4215.32 is now $4172.60 Change -$42.72
Cat 8 was $4415.32 is now $4372.60 Change -$42.72

Meanwhile Cats 5 and 6 are becoming more expensive:
Cat 6 was $4755.32 is now $5012.60 Change +$257.28
Cat 5 was $4955.32 is now $5212.60 Change +$257.28

And in a crazy change Cat 4 is ever so slightly cheaper:
Cat 4 was $6715.32 is now 6712.60 Change -$2.72

Room availability is also changing. Ever since I've been keeping track (about a month ago) Cats 4, 8, 9, 10 and 11 have had a lot of availability. However Cats 5,6,7 have all been selling GTY only telling me that their availability has been very tight. The price change reflects this. Here's the kicker, Now Cat 11 is now showing GTY only while Cat 5 has Rooms availiable. I think that we are beginning to see a bit of shifting around of rooms.

If my analysis is correct then what I said earlier about possible upgrades still holds true. If you booked Cats 10 to 12 you have a good possibility of upgrades. If you booked Cats 9 and above, it is much less likely.

You have to request it with whomever you booked your cruise:goodvibes

Ha! O.k. I'm not that slow. :upsidedowI am just wondering if folks here are all trying to get on the same early dining rotation and which it is so we can hop on board and at least be in the same vicinity of other BOBers.

PM you're details to Joannel and she'll pass your details onto DCL when she links us all together for the same dining rotation. Mind you some of us are early and some of us are late dining. So there will be two lists:thumbsup2

Does anyone know when the cutoff is for the gas surcharge refund? I know that the price of the barrel needs to be below $70 for us to get a credit. This will be in form of a statroom credit right? I want to watch the market to see...extra $$ equals extra drinks :goodvibes

Thought it was late September. 17th to be exact - thanks Jeff

Hiya Tamie and Family and :welcome:

Welcome aboard! I am Christian, my DW is Elaine and we have our children, DD9 and DS7 cruising with us. We are from Connecticut.

If you would like me to, I can add you to the first page of the thread.

Again...Welcome aboard

What about the links Chris?

-You can only buy the mnnshp merchandise (pins, t-shirts, music) during mnsshp party hours, so if you want something party specific, check the stores after 7pm.

A subtle hint for those going to MNSSHP before the cruise - please DO NOT buy the Events music cd:rolleyes1;)

Hey Karen - I like this idea....how about we combine it with the afternoon pool DISmeet at the adult pool!

Sounds like a great plan:thumbsup2

I was so thinking this too Karen, but wasn't going to say anything..... until now

I feel like that all the time

:rotfl2:Are we sisters?:rotfl2:

Great idea Jen

Course we might drown in the pool

We can save each other:rotfl:

Oh, and Bob just bought a house

:yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo:

At least it wasn't a gain...that is my goal this time around. I weigh in tomorrow and I do not think it will be good

You're right - I was just busy having myself a pity party yesterday:rotfl:

I did my 11,200 steps yesterday and kept to my points, so hopefully I'll get rid of 1lb next week.:thumbsup2

My plans are to spend as much time as possible on deck 10 with you boys.
Dont worry Neil, we'll be together again soon.:lovestruc

TART:snooty:

Quick update on my niece and nephew.... Merrick (the boy) started breathing on his own and Marlee (the girl) is not far behind. THey are AMAZING!!!! I have been calling them the Wonder Twins and apparently the name is sticking with them.

Thanks so much for your prayers and hugs - keep them coming (sorry I'm being so greedy!)

Fab news:yay: - more prayers on the way

The sad thing is, the price was manipulated up by a broker/trader (I think in London).

Yeah, yeah, blame the Brits:rolleyes::rotfl:

Chris has no friends. :rotfl: But then again, neither do I. :sad1: :rotfl:

We're just there because Suz and Hazel have to take us with them when they join Karen and her lovely family for dinner.

Stop fishing for compliments you two,... ya know we all luv ya:rotfl2:

Good, didnt like him:thumbsup2. Put something else up instead - you're looking rather naked without an avatar:eek: I liked the swiper one best:thumbsup2

Good morning peeps:goodvibes

I had a lie in:cloud9:.... 7.45am:yay::woohoo::dance3:

Its usually about 5am:rolleyes:

It feels like lunchtime now though:lmao:

Taking Ellis to the church club again today. He used to go there weekly when he was younger, but we had to stop as it clashed with karate. They are running a summer camp this week 10-12 each day.:thumbsup2

That means I get two hours to get some walking done:yay:

Yesterday I killed two birds with one stone and did the local shopping mall in record speed, zooming in and out of shops I clocked up 5,500 steps before I had to collect him:rotfl:

Today a friend and I are going to another little mall - pedometer is waiting!

I have to do 10,700 steps to earn 1.5 points. :yay:

Still hunting for a last minute getaway to Europe somewhere for this weekend.

Can't find anything yet. Mifght nip into the TA and get her to hunt. I'm fed up of trawling through the internet sites.

You will never be left behind....you are welcome to sit with us if your friends desert you!!

I take everything back i ever said about accountants Love, thank you....:)

You mean your not "Forever ready" just in case of his return?.....Hence Paige is a core wife and not an Army one...:snooty:

Just remember Dear....
