Night All - or more like Morning All since you won't see this until then.

Just looked at the post counts. Wow - Mike and Karen, at this pace, you'll both have over 500 posts on this thread. I better start posting (been busy around the house and can't really go on at work much right now). Although, I'm still 3rd.

Us in the casino. We spent one dollar in there. It was way too smokey!!!!

Kira had her second part of her allergy tests today. She's allergic to all the stuff I am...dogs, cats, dust, molds, grass, fragrances. She's not showing any symptoms so I guess that's good news :thumbsup2 They said we might want to retest in a year or two. :headache:

Today, we were driving downtown and she saw something...not even sure what she was looking at...she yells out...THERE'S the MICKEY SHIP!!!!!!!!

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I think I gots me a Disney kid :thumbsup2:goodvibes:cool1:

Did you go to Atlantis on an excursion or did you buy a day pass (or rent a room for one night and not use it)?

Just wondering how you got to the waterpark area.

We did an excursion. It was $159 for the day and that included only one meal.

You mentioned the soda cards on Carnival, what is the cost of that if you were to buy one? Was the lemonade free?

Lemonade was free. The card was either 5.50 or 6.50/day. Not worth it to me.

Our living room is actually a Great Room. It has the kitchen, dining area and living room combined, then there is a loft with a bedroom and a full bath and walk-in closet.

It the causeway that goes over to Clearwater, Fla.

The sand pails photo, we got at The Art of Disney Store at The Market Place. If you look closely at each pail. It has a pic of each of the parks.

Cool, I might have to look for that sand pail photo.

How was the overall Carnival experience? How were the other passengers on the ship? Embarking and Disembarking?

The overall experience was not at all as good as Disney. But, for the price I would do it again, but not with my family. Def not a kids cruise.
It was mostly couples and young adult groups. We had a group of high school seniors on there. They were funny.
Embarking was strange. Just this huge warehouse and you stood in line to go through security then went straight to another line to check in then straight onto the ship. No pics allowed in there.
Disembarking was fine. You could choose to take your own bags and get off first. That is what we did and stood in line for almost an hour to do so.

I had a couple of bad service things happen.
1. The 1st night my bed was not pulled down. I called to have it fixed and waited 30 min. Finally I just stood with my head out our door and waited for someone to walk by. A maintenance guy came by and I asked him to fix it. He did. But, no one ever shoed up to do the job. We told our room guy about it the next day and he said he didn't know there were 3 of us in the room.
2. The next day we only had 2 wash cloths. We were getting ready for dinner (around 5) and I called and asked for another wash cloth. I was told that we would have to wait about 45 minutes because all the room service employees are on break. I said "is there no one that can bring a wash cloth?" and I was told no. I went up to guest services and they confirmed that. No one would get us a wash cloth. So that night when we saw our room guy we told him to make sure we had enough wash cloths he told us there were not enough wash clothes on the ship. He had 70 guests and only gets 50 cloths. Needless to say the next morning when I saw a cart out in the hall we "Borrowed" extra wash clothes for the week.

You said you had the same restaurant every night at the same time, was there other options for dinner if you wanted?

There was a restaurant like Topsiders that you could eat at. Also a buffet that was open almost all the time. Pizza was offered 24 hours/day.

Morning all! I just got back from a long weekend doing the family thing. I will have to go back and find out what I missed. :thumbsup2 It is beautiful here this week. Have a great day!!!

Good morning everyone from a chilly Connecticut. Elaine and I are going to get our passports photos and then taking the applications to the post office for processing today. After that, all that remains is final payment, and MNSSHP room ressies.
Today, we were driving downtown and she saw something...not even sure what she was looking at...she yells out...THERE'S the MICKEY SHIP!!!!!!!!

We were once driving past the Basketball Hall of Fame in Massachusetts and Jay looks at it and says, "hey, we're not at Disney World!" The "basketball" is a giant steel ball that resembles Epcot's Spaceship Earth.

My son is great for spontaneity!

Pirate Costumes.pirate: for Pirates in the Caribbean Night. It's a mixed bag of dress up or not. We didn't do full dress up, just eye patches and props, but this time we're planning on costumes...which will then be the kids' costumes for MNSSHP.

OK - cool - pirate costumes are easy - we have lots of them already! In fact, we just used them for the new Pirate dinner at Vero Beach.

Ditto. Although, it seems we were only doing a page or two a day and now we're away a couple of days and I have 13+ pages to peruse....
