Good morning. I am just finishing up my six day work week. I started with fifty five hours today. I am hoping to be done in twelve hours or less. There is a local grocery store here in Wisconsin that has soda on sale, plus they have a grand opening, so we are sending out 99,800 cases today. It is super busy. To make matters worse, I am sitting at the clinic, with one of my employees, that sliced his finger open. What a great day it will be.

Good morning, y'all!

Super busy around here. School is winding down, so if it's not awards prgrams, it's "field day," or final exams. Plus baseball and softball aren't over yet. It's crazy but I love it. The kids will not be in this stage forever so I am enjoying it while I can.

Dan and Nan--prayers for y'all and your folks.

Bernie--WOO HOO!!! The house is beautiful!:goodvibes

We have no big plans for the weekend, but we are getting to do a few fun things. We had Emily's birthday dinner last night--sweet 16--time flies. We played Wii until 1am. Tonight Rob and I are going to a Teppanyaki restaurant with our neighbors, and tomorrow we are going to a cookout at someone else's house. On Memorial Day, more cooking out and another young neighbor will have a promotion ceremony right outside in front of our house (there's a neighborhood common area). It'll be fun to see this promotion, as he is at the beginning of his career, and Rob is nearly at the end. Roll on 2011....

:thumbsup2 That sneeky fox:rotfl:

Ellis used to love it as a toddler. He'd hold his hand up at the tv and yell "Swipey, no swipey":cutie:

Megan picked up the "Oh, man!" that was Swiper's reply! I think she was about 3 at the time. (Gee, has that show really been around that long???)

Well, Megan, Sarah and I just got back from a Girl Scout "Lock-In". Basically a giant (no) slumber party. Sarah was determined to stay up all night. The event was for girls who are moving from Brownies to Juniors next year and Juniors moving to Cadettes. It was held at a fitness / aquatic center. They swam, had pizza, did some activities for a "Court Sports" badge, and "settled" for the night. It was fun, but I know my daughters will be crashing later. Neither one of them wants to go back to sleep right now. I would, but I have to time my sleep to be ready to work tonight!

Always hated the costume part of cruises. Many have gotten away from it - I'm guessing it's still alive and well on Disney cruises?

Pirate Costumes.pirate: for Pirates in the Caribbean Night. It's a mixed bag of dress up or not. We didn't do full dress up, just eye patches and props, but this time we're planning on costumes...which will then be the kids' costumes for MNSSHP.

Good morning all from the Residence Inn, just finished breakfast.

The ride yesterday was awful, heavy rain about 50 percent of the time. I wanted to pull off a few times, but by the time the exit came up it cleared a little. It was scary.

had dinner at grills, sorry I forgot the camera!!!! Left it in the room, made the trip to Ron Jon's sis has never been there.

The weather does not look any better today, I hope the captai gets us out of here!!

have a great week all and I will check back in when e get home.

How many suitcases can you fit under the bed?

Yes, I am being serious:rolleyes1

Last year we left half the lugage in the car, this time we arent, so I need somewhere to store the cases. Will one fit in the wardrobe?

Karen. We had about 8 peices of luggage. One was hung in the closet (I'm too tired to remember the name of it but it holds suits and dresses w/o wrinkling them) The others we nested one into the other and then pushed them all under the bed. I think we were able to nest them all down to 3 large cases. The bed wasn't quite tall enough for the thickness of the fattest suitcase but we were able to smash it down a bit without damaging it. I also pushed my backback down there as well.

Robin is a smart girl like me....you see we only let you THINK you have the power, but in reality....WE have the power ;) :lmao:

I was sooooo shocked he won!!!! He was good but I don't think he was Idol good. But all the young girls who watch the show obviously think he is really cute and they all voted for him!! Too bad the show has turned into a popularity contest. If it wasn't then Adam would have won hands down!! ::yes:: Not only can he really sing but he has that star quality about him.

I've been reading backwards thinking I would eventually get to AI talk. I haven't been able to get on..too busy!

I actually voted for Kris myself.

I have liked Adam all along, as well. But, I appreciate the pure singing more. Kris has an excellent voice. I get kind of tired of the singers all trying to add runs and power notes into their singing (instead of just singing straight) AND EVEN MORE tired of the judges discounting that kind of singing. I'll definitely buy Kris's CD when it's out. As for Adam, he's a great showman. I'd like to see him in concert. But, I liked his slower, calmer side best. So, I'd have to see what he actually puts on a cd -- maybe just buy a few songs.

I am shocked Kris won, but glad.

We were talking about it at work Thursday night. One of the doctors had the theory that this was due in part to Danny voters going over to Kris. Probably a part of it. Also, I wonder if some Adam fans thought he had it in the bag and just didn't vote (despite the near 100,000,00 votes).

I saw a picture by a headline of Idol winner announced before I was able to watch it. (We were all watching a movie and I actually forgot about the finale! :scared1:) So, I wasn't as '"surprised" as I would have been.:sad1: But, I must say the show was great. Much more entertaining than most of the previous finale shows. I loved Kris with Keith Urban!

Congratulations Bernie!:banana::cool1::thumbsup2

Always hated the costume part of cruises. Many have gotten away from it - I'm guessing it's still alive and well on Disney cruises?

We dressed up as pirates on Pirate night on our last cruise Laurie. We had a good time once we saw many others dressed up too. This year, because of luggage restrictions, we won't be taking our costumes along. :sad2:

a googly eye for the dawg

:thumbsup2Good Job Dawg :thumbsup2

robin and were trying to figure out what happened around here....
we decided it had to be one of the following...
1) people got addicted to facebook
2)this winter was so bad, and it finally got nice out and people are taking advantage of the weather.
3)or everyone finally got so annoyed by me that they became lurkers.:sad1:

I think you got one of them correct Mike. BTW....it's NOT #3 either.

Sorry Karen, no more posting from me tonight. I have to get back to painting and tiling. We're almost done with both though. Tomorrow we just have to grout and clean up. :)

Jesse and Kristin came over this morning to help but Jesse had to leave for Chicago. Kristin is still here though and won't go home until she finishes the tiling. It looks beautiful too! :yay:
