Just in case you didn't see this...

The boards will be coming down at 9pm Eastern time tonight, June 12, in order to allow Verio to update the driver for our SAN and perform some database maintenance. They will be shut down for 5-6 hours.

My name is Angie and we will be going on our very first cruise on 10/24 and we decided to do it up right with a Disney Cruise!!

It will be me (age 36), my DH, Dave (41) and two DDs - Abby (11) and Becca - who will be turning 8 on the day we set sail! We are from the Richmond, Virginia area.

I'm a little nervous about the kids activities so I would love to "meet" people with kids the same age so my girls can have some people "known" to them ahead of time.

Hi Angie! Welcome. I'm Lori traveling with DH Scott and 3 kids. Alex (girl 13), Julia (6) and Harrison (4). We live just north of Charlottesville. I work in Fredericksburg. Hope you jump in and chitty chat with us.

I know I just joined you, but my 11 year old DD was just diagnosed with very mild Asperger's Syndrome last month (it's a mild form of Autism). She is an honors student, but the Asperger's affects her ability to make friends her own age (basically - she is VERY socially awkward). Super friendly, wants you to like her, VERY intelligent (gets along great with adults)

Anyone else traveling with an Asperger's kid? Or just a normal 11 year old, boy-crazy, Twighlight-obsessed girl?

She is really looking forward to being in the Ocean Quest clubs and is even more excited about checking in/out by herself (mom - not so excited about that part)

Alex was 11 on our last cruise and she checked herself in and out of the club and did fine. I was a little nervous about it at first but she did just fine. She will be in the stack this time and I'm sure I'll never see her!!!!!
Have her check out the kids thread. Alex is over there with some of the other kids and they chat. Alex's login is Belle. Can someone else post a link to it? Thanks.

As for what I am doing this weekend.....
I am going to my childminder's son's high school graduation in the morning. Then packing stuff for the girl's big cross country trip. We are taking them to West Virginia Sat. night. My mom is having a cookout on Sunday then we will come home with just one kid. He won't know what to do with having mommy and daddy all to himself for 3 weeks.

Bob's sister is getting married next June on a beach in Key West!
Yay! Vacation for me!

They're going on a cruise afterward too (probably not Disney though) and I asked Bob if we were going too?
Although he said probably not, they'd want to go alone..... but who knows?
