Can I come play with you??

My name is Angie and we will be going on our very first cruise on 10/24 and we decided to do it up right with a Disney Cruise!!

It will be me (age 36), my DH, Dave (41) and two DDs - Abby (11) and Becca - who will be turning 8 on the day we set sail! We are from the Richmond, Virginia area.

I'm a little nervous about the kids activities so I would love to "meet" people with kids the same age so my girls can have some people "known" to them ahead of time.

I'm Nancy (aka, MG/Mother Goose) and will be cruising with my DH Chuck (Charlie Tuna). We also have adult children who will be cruising with us.

We have quite a few BOBers from the Virginia area cruising with us too! Jump right in and ask any questions you might have. Someone around here will know the answer or at least be able to direct you elsewhere for it.

DD Abby (who is 11) just had her very last day at Elementary School today - moving on to middle school next year (Waaaaaaaah!)

Welcome aboard!! My name is Chris,and there are there are fourteen people in my travel party. But my immediate family is my wife Melissa, daughter Paige, and myself. Paige will also be eight on the cruise, so maybe the kids will hang out together.

Just stopping on for a quick "Hello". Weather here in WI is nasty, wet & cold. I can't believe that it is June and I had to wear a turtleneck to watch my son's baseball game yesterday. UURGGGHHH I am ready to sail, yesterday!! Off to do a bit of my Sunday favorite

We are still up in the air for dis tag. I will know by this weekend.

I'm Karen, travelling with hubby Neil and DS Ellis who will be just 9 when we travel. There are wuite a few kids on this cruise of similar ages for your girls to "meet" beforehand. Becca will be in the same club as Ellis.

I take it that this is learnt from experience Karen.

Oh yes! - how do think I cope with an evening with my Mother! Merlot becomes my best friend on those evenings

Rick's mum and dad are coming for the day tomorrow for a post cruise get-to-gether. We're also off to see Bev and Dave tonight.

House work for most of the weekend but on Saturday night we are having a barbeque for Kristin's birthday and our anniversary.

So, I've been surfing trying to find a cheapo holiday in August in Europe

Is there such a thing?

Found fab flights for under £500 for all 3 of us, but cant find accomodation in the resort we like.

What happened to the good ole days of just picking a brochure and going to the travel agents... Now I trawl for hours on end through website after site and still come away empty handed

I might just have to give my lottery ticker an extra magic rub this evening and hope we strike lucky tomorrow

Failing that, I'll have to start picking money off the tree that Jeff sent me. Its now 10 ft tall and in full bloom I only have to shake a branch and I'm a millionaire

If she'd like to, she can pm him before the cruise and they can "chat". Ellis was nervous about cruising our first time, but it is easier if they have a "friend or two" that they know beforehand.

Theres a whole list of people going and their kids on post one of the thread.
We couldnt get him out of the kids club last time - they were all having so much fun!

Those Fairygodmothers would have wide eyes when they'd lift up my hair and see lots of little short hair where my scar is. They stick straight out and they're kinda course--and full of grays. Of course I hear chicks dig scars...I can't believe I just said that.

The wedding is July 11. One month from today. At this point I am ready for it to be over. Did you feel like you were losing your son when he got married? I feel like I have lost Ryan. We had a discussion last night about the rehearsal dinner. We had it all planned and last night he told me that he wants it all changed. He was never like this before. It is as though he has no respect for us and our feelings. Oh well I am sure it will all work out. Sorry to be such a downer today. I am feeling a little sorry for myself.
