We just came home from a camping trip, Guess what I got in the mail. My DCL planning packet! Everyone probably has already been discussing it while I was away. But we were jazzed. It's that close!

Do we all get these packets? I am a new cruiser, so I have no idea what is in these packets. We did get our passports, and mnsshp tickets in the mail.

A Q on excursions: does anyone here do their own excursion to St John's? Rather than pay for a (usually overpriced) ship excursion, we usually just take the ferry over ourselves and then take a local jitney to one of our favorite sites. Depending upon which location (and what time) the ship docks, you might need/want to take a taxi to Red Hook, but it usually ends up cheaper and a longer time to spend on St John's (one of my very most favorite places in the world!).

Also, are the kids' clubs open or closed during the excursions, or does it depend upon the excursion/day?

Rick and I had this conversation yesterday. Don't know what to do for the best.

Just remember ladies nothing goes up or down in a straight line,why not buy "some" today and more "if" we see $1.70 leaving you with an average.... I have mates who trade currency,they talk of $1.70 ish and one talks about parity at some point over the next three years...I know,no more trips over the pond if that happens,also same bloke reckons we may well see an "Amero"(SP) at some point too,a coming together of the US,Canadian dollar and the Mexican Peso....

PS....IMHO anything above has to be better than $1.30...

i'm rarely on there but robin is from time to time. i believe he's having his knee surgery soon.

Thank god he ain't surcome to the Swine flu (How is that going over there),if he's anything like my kids it's highly unlikely he'll ever make his way back here as i have to threaten to turn of the power just to get them downstairs nowadays.....

I cant remember what was in mine last time Paperwork to complete, luggage tags and a booklet re excursions is all I can think of.

I agree Chris, but its been climbing steadily for a little while now, I'm holding off til for another 3 weeks(ish) then I'll pay the balance in dollar to Dreams. Not so bothered about spending money - we get everything on American express anyway and get a better rate. We only take about £800 in $ cash
It'll be lovely getting more than 1.40 like it was at christmas

Makes the girls shopping trips cheaper too

I have never eaten here. I do know that you need a password to get in, otherwise they make you do some crazy stuff, and it is all live on camera, that the people inside are watching, and laughing at. I do know the password.
