You must have stayed in the Bayou. Us upper class people stay in the Mansions. No bugs there. :snooty: :rotfl2:

Seriously, wow! Really?! Never had a problem there.

We've stayed at all the Mods except Caribbean Beach. We hope to get there for the 3 nights before the cruise. Now that DS is NOT into the "theme" pool and more into the "quiet" pools, that location will work for us.

I don't know what happened. I think Emily may have gotten them too. It wasn't like anything I've ever had before and I grew up in bug infested Louisiana! The rash kinda looked like chiggers.:scared1:Itched liked crazy.

Was it possibly bed bugs?

I guess it could be, if bed bugs choose which person in the bed they will bite. Rob didn't have the rash. You know how some people are more susceptible to mosquito bites than others? Well, if that's the case with bed bugs, my bet would be that that's what it was.

Don't know much about them, but one would think that if you were closer to the "next", that may explain it.

The other bad "pests" are the sand mites. Don't see them, but your legs get chewed at the beach.

Hey, where's Bernie lately? Am I just missing her posts somewhere?

The thread usually moves when she's around.

I dunno....she said she was gonna post the other night but she never came on :confused3

We will probably go to the waterparks on the 22nd before MNSSHP and then on the 31st if it is warm out. The night of the 31st will be DTD and then relaxing at the hotel.

Make sure you don't tire yourself out at the water park. We did that in 1999...went to BB for the day and climbed a million stairs and then we went to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights and had to leave by 10pm because we were wiped!!!

Last year they were specific to the Halloween party, not just characters. I guess they too are saving $$.

That would have been cool!! In all the times we went, they've looked exactly the same as the park tickets which is a pain because I kept mixing them up! :scared:

They are different from our park tickets this year as they are plastic like a credit card but our park tickets are the sturdy paper tickets so at least I can tell them apart :thumbsup2

Good deal Matthew. Does Beth have a hard time getting off or is she already approved?

Beth is submitting her request tonight! :thumbsup2

It shouldn't be a problem. The dates are not a "high demand" time of year.

Matthew

QUESTION:

We are going to be in Florida the first week in July. We are planning to visit Kennedy Space Center on Saturday, July 4th. The Magic sails that evening for a 7 Night Eastern cruise. The all aboard is at 4:00 PM.

What time does the ship actually sail?

I would like to plan a visit to Grills. We haven't been there before. We could then watch the ship sail by. I would love to get some pictures from shore. Is it usually crowded at Grills on sail days? What time should we plan to be there?

(I remember seeing a family left on the pier in Naples. That was sad. :guilty: They took video of the ship as it left. At least only had to drive up the coast to catch up. :thumbsup2 Now there's an adventure for you. Catch up with the cruise ship!)

Matthew

Beth, sorry I missed you last night.

How close to the cruise will it be before you get your time to ask off. What happens if they don't approve it? Can you start loading days into that week (i.e. get one day, take Monday, next available day, take Tuesday and so on)?

I had already requested the time off, but my manager said I had to have the vacation time available before the request could be approved...even though it is many months away! Anyway, I thought that was a bit overboard, but I think I have enough time on the books now to request it again. It shouldn't be a problem. The 4th of July was the problematic one if I didn't request early.

The water coaster is fun. I also like the lazy river better at TL. There are certain things about each water park that we like. My older kids (that includes Rob) like BB for the more thrilling slides.

My "older kid" (Matthew;) ) like TL for the wave pool. I like it because the water seems warmer. On the lazy river at BB, the water that gets dumped on you seems VERY cold!!:scared1: The girls don't seem to care. They love water rides wherever they are.

Matthew

The sail time is 5pm but it's been known to leave later due to circumstances. In 2005, we didn't leave until about 6:45pm because the Casino Cruise ship caught fire. :scared:

But if it leaves later, you could always walk down to Jetty Park once you are done your dinner and watch it sail out there :thumbsup2

Hey everyone.

Elaine is back from her repair...:lmao: That's basically what it was. I just finished pressure washing the garage, so I will put on some dry clothes and take the pressure washer back to Home Depot.

Then its off to the office for a few hours. I'll check in when I can.

Matthew, I think the Magic sails at 5:00.

Oh my goodness!:scared1:

Dont look everybody.:scared1:

Swipers got his googleys out:scared1:...............:lmao:

Nice set of googleys you got there Jeff;)

I think we've done a waterpark everyday we've gone to a party at night. We usually only stay until 2:00 though. I just hope the weather is warm enough to enjoy it. Like Heather said, if it is windy, it isn't fun. We've skipped a couple times after cruises because of the wind. The water would just evaporate quickly and cool you down.

Jeff, You asked about the breakdown of our MNSSHP tickets.

Minnie and Mickey are the adult tickets
Donald and Pluto are the kid tickets

Just took the pressure washer back, and now making myself some lunch. How is everyone today?

I would have thought they'd give Mickey and Minnie to the kids since they are the biggest stars of WDW.

I am trying to put together the details of our New England mini DIS meet in a few weeks. It looks like it will be me, DanandNan, and Walt&Di. It should be a good time.
