I just got off the phone with my mother and it sounds like we will all be staying in one of the values on 10/31. Their feeling is, "we are only sleeping there" so why spend a lot of money. If we were going for an extended vacation, we may stay somewhere else.

Now...do we stay at Movies or Pop??? I have not yet stayed at Movies, and I know the kids would love the large movie icons. The Pop was fun though.

Ahhhh, decisions, decisions!

We stayed at the All Star Movies in November for a couple nights before all our family was there (then moved to DVC). The girls really liked it. Sarah was enthralled by the light fixture in the room. We were in the 101 Dalmations building... one of my favorite childhood movies!

hey chris. your yankees are struggling almost as much as my indians.:headache:
we blew another one today.:headache:

Yes, It was a good game and series for the Sox's. Now tonite for my other team the Indian's. This is when I get nervous. My bestest friend's team. Oh well, someone has to win right. Go Sox's and Celtics Go. Di

we like both pop century and all star movies.:wizard:
cant go wrong. totally agree with the logic about only sleeping there anyway.

that being said, we couldnt resist seeing the AKV for the first time.:rolleyes1
so it looks like thats where we're staying.

I like both the All Stars and Pop. I agree only sleeping so why spend all that money. Diane

Another rainy day here in Maine. Weatherman says the sun will be out by noon??
Nancy is working until noon and I start doing my 2 month job at the Fishway
Tonight Nancy and I are going out to celebrate our anniversary at a local Italian Restaurant. Ghosh 42 years with my bride doesn't seem possible.
After we get back we will be busy watching RED SOX, Bruins, Celtics.
Great time of year for Boston sports fans.

PS Di and Walt how about those Sox

Dan

42 years You guys are my heros :worship: Have a great day!

I wasn't in a character costume. I had just come home from work, so I had on suit pants, a long sleeved white shirt and a tie. I simply added a nametag. :cool2: I certainly wasn't asked to pose with anybody and I wasn't trying to pretend that I was a real cast member by my actions. But "real" Disney employees certainly saw me and I think anyone who looked closely realized that the nametag was a "souvenir" and not a real CM nametag. This would have been sometime in the early 1990s before we had kids.

Matthew

I believe he was accompanied by a Dalmation in a definitely homemade costume...and there were MANY adults dressed up that night!

But, the questions were easy to answer (where's the restrooms?) until he was asked if they had a shirt in a different size - he pointed to the real CM who was dressed in yellow shirt and brown pants (appropriate for Adventureland) who was less than 10 feet away!

We also went right after work every day during the 40 year celebration and he got asked questions a lot then...without a nametag!

People need to get over themselves. He was having a great time and was not hurting any one or the company. :) We will not be on costume because of the limited space. We will have mouse ears and matching t-shirts. Megan is giving me a hard time about it but Jose is still a little afraid of me so he will go along with out a word (to me at least) :rotfl2:

Sitting here at work figuring our my Disney Chase Rewards reimbursement. I use my card for some business expenses, and in doing so, trying to rack up some rewards. I don't charge everything, just a few hundred a month in incidental expenses. I could put our gasoline on, but that would get outrageous!

I just got the card in November and have 65 already! :woohoo: My goal is 100, and once I pay our balance, I will be around that.

Yup...we just live too far away from the mouse to do anything other than save and plan for a week-long trip. Plus, we figure 7 or so days is a good amount of time to see the 4 main parks with a little down-time in between.

Yes, seven days is the best allotted time. Grandkids and I did it last summer and had plenty of time to do everything at least once most of the things they wanted to do twice they were able to do. They even did some of the rides more. We spent every evening in the pool. The days were all spent at parks. We did character meals so we did not have to stand in lines to get autographs. We got fast passes whenever we could. Diane

Rob and I wear our Guest of Honor badges all the time and people always ask me where the bathrooms are....good thing I know where they all are :rolleyes1:rotfl2:

I really wish we could get a Disney Visa up here :headache:

Where's Karen?

Busy day, just popped my head in to catch up then I'm off again

Good morning all!

Sadly, no MNSSHP tickets for us... :sad2:but we decided in the end we didn't want one day later in the evening, when DS is tired, to be his first look at the Magic Kingdom.

I think you made the right decision, he'll be tired getting off the ship early, so he might be a bit grotty in the evening (I know Ellis was shattered last time and was in bed early - we all were!:rotfl:)

Cass, Karen, and qanyone else who's keeping track....

I spoke with my MIL last weekend, and she is still planning on playing DIStag. So, please leave Susan and Steve on the DIStag list. It is highly unlikely that they will ever post, but you'll meet 'em at the terminal!

She's on my list Jen:thumbsup2

IS Dis tag the same as Fish extender?

Yes!

We're doing ok. I have to keep reminding myself I can't make everything better in a week or two...it's going to take time. But, I'm starting to get things set up.

-I met with a child psychologist that I think we'll be working with. The first appointment was just with me - getting heath history, background info, etc. Tomorrow, I will be taking Thomas for the first time, and if things go well, then we've found our psycologist.

-I've told Thomas's teacher what's going on, and she will be having the school psychologist call me to set up a meeting to see what we can do to help Thomas at school.

-I've gotten my insurance stuff figured out (the first person I spoke with said they weren't going to cover anything:scared1::scared1::scared1:) and I have a contact person to call if they start denying claims.

-I'm filling out forms for FMLA, so that I can take unpaid leave if I need to take time off work for Dr. appointments, school meetings, etc.

As a result of getting all this organized...I don't get to post nearly enough on the DIS ;):lmao::rotfl2:

Jen, sounds like you're soing a great job :thumbsup2:hug:... big hugs and praise for getting so much sorted so quickly:hug::thumbsup2

Way to go Jen:woohoo:... your googly eye looks lovely in your siggy:goodvibes

Our DD Kristin had a tick on her when she was about 3 years old. We got it out in one piece but never thought about having it checked out. Do you think that tick bite is a result of her shopping addiction? :rotfl:

:lmao:...Maybe I got an ebay tick then:confused3:lmao:

Bye everyone:wave2:
I'm off to go get Sean and bring him home.
No laptop for me so I'll catch you all next Monday night or Tuesday.

Safe travels:hug:

42 years You guys are my heros :worship: Have a great day!

Congrats:goodvibes have a lovely day:lovestruc

Our mortgage advisor came over today:rolleyes:

We've just sorted out our mortgage payments for the next 10 years:scared:

I hate talking about money:sad2:

It bored me quickly and my mind drifted off after a while and I started thinking about food:rolleyes1
