Good afternoon/evening everyone. I am home from my long day of Disaster Training. I was learning how to be an incident commander. Lots of talk about Homeland Security, FEMA, state & local government, etc.

Getting ready to have dinner, then I have to run Sam to soccer practice. When I get home, it will be time to see if the Yankees can pick themselves up from that horrible weekend series.

hey guys.:flower3:

busy making cookies for the wedding reception "cookie table".
just curious, is this just a tradition up here? or do most wedding receptions have cookie tables set up. (no. not tables made of cookies)

cassie's fiance says they never do that at weddings in southern ohio.
but he's excited about it.:yay:

:cutie: looks like he had a great time:cutie:

Mine is jsut past my knee. I dont "do" dresses very often and I dont feel comfortable in them, so I'll probably change straight after dinner anyway:rolleyes1... and its black not red - sorry Dawg:flower3:

no long here, not even sure about the dress part,

That's pretty much what I thought - actually my "dresses" are more like skirt & top but dressy enough. What are they going to do - not feed us?

I have not thought that far ahead. I will after I get through the wedding.

Just wear your new one!

LOL I had not even thought about that. :)

Yes, that was going to be my conversation!

Nan, I will be wearing a long dress. We'll they're supposed to be mid length, but as I'm only 5ft 2in in height the dresses end up as full length.:rotfl:

I'm fairly short too but I don't own a long dress any more & don't really want to buy one. Sounds like what I have will be just fine.

thanks, NK

I don't recall anything like that at the weddings I've been to recently - or ever.

We had petite fours at Kristin & Jesse's wedding after everyone was all liquored up. Little eclairs, cheesecakes, strawberry short-cakes...etc. Sounds like just about the same thing though as your cookie table.

I wanted something to sop up the alcohol before they left the reception. :rolleyes1

Sorry Karen. I was all ready to serve detention this morning too. :goodvibes
I logged on a few times myself over the weekend but found no one else did.
Since I talk to myself all day at work, I just couldn't get myself to do it here too.

well maybe if you'd put that little green lite back on, (you know, like the one jeff had), people would know you're on the dis and ready to chat.:grouphug:

Ok...the chocolate chip cookies are done. My kids have to have my chocolate chip cookies.

Even though Mike mixed them up for me before I got home from work. What a sweetie. :lovestruc

Am I making everyone sick? :lmao:
