I am home again with this stupid cold but my ears are super infected so my balance is way off.. I just can't risk falling at work with my bad knee.. plus my hacking cough would drive everyone nuts...lol

I just made the last "payment" to Dreams Unlimited for our portion of the cruise Now I just need Courtney's portion from her parents and we will be paid in full! When I logged in on the Dreams site it said our vacation begins in 168 days, that's really 166 days for us that doesn't sound all that bad anymore.

ok this is freaky.. did everyone get plane tickets last night?..lol we bought 3 one way tickets last night with westjet non stop for 229.00 a pop.. wich was a really good deal! lol the 4th ticket we need is at a later date, cause our son will be only joining us for the cruise portion of the trip.

sheesh if I only ever had to pay 74.00 for a plane ticket I would be going on alot more cruises!!!..lol

YAY!!! Finally!!! You must be so excited!!! Those aren't bad prices considering it's a non-stop!!! I wish we were on that flight with you...I'm a little worried about our 2 flights with Kira

The first 20 mins are great...they run around and play nice together and then comes the chaos and destruction. I think Kira just needs to adjust to sharing her stuff and then it will be much better...like in 3 years or so

Just got a call from the lady who I'm renting DVC points from and my waitlist has come through

We are now spending Halloween night at Bay Lake Towers

I am happy because this means we can just walk back to our resort when we are done for the night at MNSSHP

So after the cruise we will be heading there for some pool time for Kira and hopefully a nap too

Is it October yet?????

Congratulations Cass We are staying at BLT on Oct. 22nd! I wanted to stay there that night for the same reason, we can walk to and from the Magic Kingdom for MNSSHP that night!

I just found out a few days ago that my brother and his family will be staying at BLT in August, about 2 weeks after it opens. I'll let you guys know what they have to say about it when they get back.

Has anyone been following any of the Kidani AKV threads on the DVC boards? I had just peeked on there too and there are a few with some great pictures. I can't wait to stay there Oct. 23rd!

Yeah, that's the reason we are staying there. I like AKV better, more my style but you can't beat walking to and from MNSSHP

It sure is I'm glad to have that taken care of because it is looking like Al will be layed off for the next week or two and then who knows how much longer he'll be working after that, there just are not that many homes being built around here right now. I knew that was a good possibility of him being layed off for stretches before the cruise so any extra hours I've picked up that money has been going to pay towards the cruise and I've been making payments to Dreams so that money wouldn't get spent on something else.

I just got off the phone with DCL. Here are a couple of questions that they answered for me. I know many may already know this, but I thought it might be helpful.

CRUISE INSURANCE

DCL said that we can still add the cruise travel insurance through them up to the point that we make our final payment. (July 25th) Now we did book our cruise directly with DCL when we were onboard in May 2008. I don't know if it might be different if you went through a travel agent.

We have not purchased the insurance for our previous two cruises and everything worked out fine. But I'm getting a bit nervous if this "flu" reemerges in the fall. The chance that one of us would have a cold and be denied boarding is sounding like a bit more of a risk now. Everybody is bound to be on edge.

FINAL PAYMENT and SHORE EXCURSIONS

Our final payment due date is 08/10/09. However, we REALLY need to pay by 07/25/09 in order to make shore excursion reservation at the 90 day mark. All payments must be in before making these reservations. I'm pretty sure that most of you all knew that one already, but somebody might have missed that point.

I also arranged for a birthday celebration for the girls at dinner on 10/28.

Excitement is building!

Thanks for the info Matthew. Just remember, if you didn't book your air through DCL it won't be covered (at least that is how it use to be). Funny though that they'll cover the air for a WDW vacation.

Hi Lori, I haven't posted any pictures of her trip. I was waiting for a time to post them when she could be on with me and tell me what certain pictures are but she has been very busy lately. Maybe we'll have some time this weekend otherwise I'll just post some and hope I am getting the castles right. She had a great time!!! She said it was the best vacation she ever had and the coolest place she has ever been too. She even said she would rather go back there instead of going on another cruise after the BOB. Chris took her many places including Edinburgh Scotland, London, and she saw quite a few castles including the one used to film Harry Potter. She is still asking why can't we move to England
