Here's some pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: that the airfare comes down for that third ticket!

Thanks Cheryl  And yes, it feels real finally, for the first time :cool1:

:lmao::rotfl2:
not really. back then the CB was the new hot resort. we hd a ressie for 2 weeks booked there. then a few months before our trip, disney called and asked if we'd be willing to stay at the contemporary instead for the same price as the CB. ($89 i think). so we jumped on it.:thumbsup2
we figured we'd get a garden wing or something, but we got a MK view.:wizard:
that was a great 2 weeks.:wizard:watching fireworks from the balcony.:wizard:

wow wow wow, 2 weeks at the contemporary :lovestruc:cloud9: Lucky duck!! :thumbsup2

thats great news cass.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
its getting exciting isnt it?:woohoo:

It's soooo exciting :goodvibes Now once we have that third ticket booked, then I will be super excited :cool1::thumbsup2

Well here I go with multiple quotes. Some are from way back.

There's quite a few of us who will be at MNSSHP that night. We will be there for sure :thumbsup2 Rob and Kira will be pirates or a pirate and a princess and I will be in shorts and a tee since it's too darm warm to wear a costume for me :scared:

Oooh yes, please crash the party :thumbsup2

Chuck and Tony were about 10 people ahead of us in the security line...I was waving like a mad woman and they were thinking who is that crazy mad woman waving at us :lmao:

We plan to do MNSSHP on the 31st as well. As for costume, I think the Portland Pirates T & shorts will have to do. Maybe an eye patch too.

hope the Indians do as well tomorrow as they did today!!!!:woohoo:
GO TRIBE!!:woohoo:popcorn:::rolleyes1

we had a 1977 olds cutlass for 23 years. sold it in 2000. great car.:thumbsup2
bought it when ds was born, and he ended up driving it through high school.:hippie::hippie:
we've only bought GM here and have always had great results.
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

My grandfather bought a brand new Chrysler back in 1948. He drove it for many years & when he gave up driving it went to my mopther. When I was in high school (early 60's) I drove it & after that my brother drove it. Unfortunately it he stored it in a friend's barn where it wasn't taken care of. One of my sons tried to restore it but then along came wife & 2 kids and alas the "48 Chrysler we had affectionately called Betsy was towed away.

I am really looking forward to going to the game tomorrow. We are taking my dad for his birthday. Since he doesn't read the DIS too much, I can go ahead and say that we are having his birthday greetings displayed on the jumbotron tomorrow. I will hopefully snag a picture!

What a cool thing to do for him!!!

Wow, nobody has called me 'miss smartie pants' since Sister Paula in 9th grade :rolleyes1 I feel young again! :rotfl:

I'm OK. Been practicing your 'aisle walking'? ;) Won't be long now. :yay:

Hey how are you? And what did you do to cause Sister Paula to say that?

Your such a good Dad, yes I was at work all morning and a meeting all afternoon.

It was beautiful today here also, hope it stays through the week end. DS is going to Orange beach- so no drums:banana:maybe my head will survive. His CPA firm gave them all today off, so most switched it to Friday for a three day week end.

Correction to Dan's quote - I am the only Nana - she's a grammy - and he better not make that mistake again!!!

Nah :rolleyes1

I know you made diet cake tonight, but here's what Frank and I had for dessert on Easter:

Warm Valhrona Chocolate souffle cake with a liquid chocolate center, vanilla bean ice cream

Ohhhhh - does that look sinful!!!

Morning Karen, good, bad or indifferent week...Can i afford to feed the kids this weekend?....:rolleyes1

Quote of the week from the family latest addition...."Rachel do you like Mac & D's"...."Chris am American"......:rotfl2::lmao:

PS...Cheryl we'll give her back, a lawyers letter would have done just fine,i think waking to find these guys dicking my back garden is just a little over the top dear...:snooty:

Isn't that the Safari ride at Animal Kingdom?!!!

Good morning everyone. I am just posting really quick before we head out to the Yankee game. Our goal is to get there when the gates open at 10:00.

I'll post pics tonight when I get back and those of you that are friends on facebook will be able to see some mobile pics throughout the day.

I'll be sure to have Dan check it out. Enjoy!

I guess I missed every one this morning, have a great Friday all!!

I'm here - Hello!

That was a weird film, but a good/sad ending. Need to pay attention.

My plan is to watch it this weekend if I can get DH to agree.

I did stay the night at the hospital, most of us usually do when we are on-call, it is now a rare night that we don't get called in at least once between 11pm and 7am and it's just too tiring to keep driving back and forth in the middle of the night. One of our ultrasound rooms has a wall full of cabinets that holds our fold up mattress, pillows and blankets and we have all chipped in and bought a TV, VCR and DVD player to help pass the time, so we have "all the comforts of home" so we just sleep there between call-ins, the whole problem is is when they call and wake you up you feel exhausted but by the time you get done scanning the patient and getting the results from the radiologist you are wide awake and then it is hard to fall back to sleep quickly. I worked until 11pm last night and then this morning they called me in at 1am, 4am and then 6:15 am so I have actually been awake since 4 because I couldn't fall asleep after scanning the 2 patients that time so I started DISing. As my sister would say I have a love/hate relationship with being on-call, I love the extra money/bonuses I make on-call but I hate the interrupted sleep, I am lucky though I am usually off the day after I am on-call so I can take a nap if I need.

What do you do? I have a friend who is an OR tech & has to be on call overnight.

You might get lucky and be able to get one of those cross-over vehicles. I would really like to try the GMC Arcadia. That may be our next large vehicle we buy.

I heard just this wek that GM is probably going to get rid of it's GMC line. 2 of our boys have big GMC trucks.

Wow, what a great welcome everybody.

My DH and I have sailed twice with Disney. We did a 3 day in July 2007 with 7 of our friends. We then did a 4 day in November/December 2008 - just the 2 of us. We are from Bowie, Maryland, about 20 minutes outside of Washington, DC. I saw that somebody posted pictures of the Cherry Blossoms. We didn't get a chance to go and see them this year, as in years past -- but they sure were beautiful.

My DH took early retirement from Verizon. As I said before, I was laid off from my job in February. We are currently both working for the U.S. Census and our temporary jobs will carry us until the end of May or the middle of June. It's good to be able to bring in some extra money. We have saved enough for the cruise, so that's not going to be the problem. I am looking for a full-time job and I want to make, being off for this cruise, a condition of me taking any job offer that I get. Taking the 3 and 4 day cruises have really made me excited to take a 7 day. So everybody think good thoughts that we will be able to join you in October.

Well, it's off to "Census". Talk more later.

Glad you're with us.

Thanks for that info, Cass. Do you happen to know if the tickets are non-refundable? If you buy them & something happens you can't go on that date are you stuck?

N

/
Or can they be used at another time or transferred to someone else?

N

Well, I have read about people calling Disney and changing their dates, so that can be done I think, as long as their is availability. Please don't quote me on that though ;)

As for transferring them, they don't come with your name on them, so whoever wants to use the ticket can do so. The backs of the tickets just have the date on them for the night you choose and are marked with either Adult or Child.

If you are going on the 31st, I would recommend buying them some time in May. I think last year, they didn't sell out Halloween night until about August but the year we went in 2005, the 31st was sold out in June if I remember correctly.

Not sure if anyone is around today, but I just wanted to stop in to see if anyone was around.

We had fabulous weather today in SE Wisconsin. 71 degrees!! Whoo hoo. :woohoo:

Tomorrow should be the same but Sunday starts a week of cold and rain again. :rolleyes1 Might be a good day to start on those BOBer t-shirts.

Cass,

Those dates and prices are for last year. The 22nd isn't listed and 10/24 is the Saturday we leave, and unless Halloween is on Saturday, like this year, they don't put the party on Saturdays.

I don't think this year's prices have come out yet.

Are you working on that poem for your big 15,000 Jeff? It's coming up pretty quick. :goodvibes

Oops, sorry, you are right Jeff. I was making supper and was in a hurry :scared:

The dates for 2009 are...

September: 4, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29, 2009
October: 1, 2, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 2009
November: 1, 2009

Tickets go on sale May 1, 2009

The prices for 2009 aren't out yet but they shouldn't be much more than the 2008 prices.

Thanks for pointing that out Jeff :thumbsup2
