At lunch today I was telling Suz about the eggs my dad hand painted himself when Chuck and I got married. These are real egg shells. He poked holes in the top and bottom and blew out the contents without breaking any of the shells. Then he would paint them. Here are mine:

Both of our kids also have their own too. Too bad my dad didn't pass his talents onto his daughter. I couldn't draw a straight line even if I had a ruler!

Wow, your dad is talented!!! :thumbsup2

Rob has some eggs that his grandma hand painted and I am amazed!!! He cherishes them dearly as I am sure you do :goodvibes

Here's Cabo out for the night with his Buddy. :goodvibes

That toy had 4 squeekers in it at one time. He ripped it apart trying to find out where the noise was coming from. I thought he found them all so I stitched it back up. There was one more left in his head but it didn't squeek as well. Now everytime the dog finds the squeeker, either Chuck or I will yell out "OUCH"! Cabo will stop immediately and lay down with the toy instead. :lmao::lmao::lmao: Sucker.

Hey Chris, what is the trick to get your two banners in your signature to sit next to each other. I had done it before, but now I can't remember what I did.

Thanks Cass. He made a cradle for Kristin when she was born too and hand painted it all. We lost it when our home was flooded out though. We also lost the kids dresser which my dad also made and painted. He did some beautiful work. It's so sad now to see how his hands don't work anymore. :sad1:

What a cutie  I sure hope he likes to be pet :rolleyes1;)

My dogs eat toys. We have even bought the kind that claim to be indestructible....yeah ok....it takes them 5 minutes to destroy instead of 3 :sad2:

They are beautiful, and what an amazing keepsake! My sisters and I used to do this each year. I wish I had some of our old ones.

He usually does too especially if there is a squeeker in it. When we first got him our neighbors gave him a Mickey head made out of sheepskin material. It's the only toy he never destroyed. :thumbsup2

I think the trick is to get rid of the hyperlink that goes with the image. If the line is too long, the DIS automatically puts it on a second line.

Cass!!! Do you get the Food Channel?? Alberta Canada is on right now with Ukranian Easter eggs!!

Wow, he really is talented!!! I'm sorry that you lost that!

We have a rocking chair that his grandma used to rock his mom in, and that his mom rocked him in. He rocked Kira in it when she was a baby. I can't remember if his grandpa made it or not :confused3

We get the Food Network but I think it's a Canadian based one. We don't get any of the special US channels :mad::mad: Something about network broadcasting rights blah blah blah. We don't get The Disney Channel or the Travel Channel or HBO or any of those good channels :sad1:

His grandma is Ukrainian and Alberta has a lot of Ukrainians for some reason. :confused3 We even have the world's largest ukrainian egg somewhere. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Well, I think I am gonna go back to bed to watch a movie....still feel like I've been hit by a Mac truck :scared:

Night everyone :wave2:

He used to weave baskets too so our kids always received home made Easter baskets every year. Because he was so talented with that he would constantly french braid Kristin's hair but not in the usual way. He would braid from side to side (ear to ear) with different colored ribbons woven within.

When Kristin played sports in grade school and the early part of high school her team-mates would line up on the bleachers and my dad would braid all their hair for them. Everyone had a different look!! Everybody loved Kristin's Opa!!

I want to try Carnival once just to try it. Our first cruise was on RCCL, but was on their smallest ship...a very small one at that. I would also like to try one of their larger ships to see what the experience is like.

I think after this cruise, we are going to go to WDW for a nice long vacation...at least 7 days.

My first cruise was with Carnival, and then Sean and I took 2 others out of New Orleans on Carnival. The ships are bright, smoky around the casino, and you notice more people who are shnockered. But Adults (even pooh sized ones like me) can ride the slides! The dining rooms are multilevel since that is the only one you go to. Not the worst experience of my life. Lets just say when Sean went on the Wonder for the first time, my second, as soon as he hit the atrium he looked at me and said;"We are never sailing another cruise line ever again"
I want to sail one of RCCL's mega ships at least once. We are happy though that the Wonder is coming out this way, just not thrilled with the itinerary, like the caribbean much better.

you should have seen those girls going through songs last nite for the wedding.:bride:princess:

i think they're playing the whole Disneys Fairy Tale weddings cd.
