My co-worker is originally from Norway, and her mother was here from Norway and came to the shower also, which was a lot of fun. They don't have baby showers in Norway, so she was blown away.

That's great Jen! I love making diaper cakes. So far I have made 4 of them all no bigger than 3 layers, with the 5th being made now for my nieces baby shower in July. This one will be 7 layers tall. I have to go to Home Depot to buy a wood round for underneath it so it won't fall apart.:scared1: I'm having a lot of fun with it though.

DS has been having some problems in school, and after some initial evaluations by our pediatrician we are having him go through some testing with a neuropsychologist for IQ, learning disabilities, ADHD, etc. It's been really hard at home lately, which is why I haven't been on much. Our appointment is on the 21st....pixie dust is appreciated ;)

Big hugs Jen:hug::hug: Sending you bucket loads of pixie dustpixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Thanks to you too;)

Mine are home for spring break, good thing I have to work. Or my house would sound like Paige's house.:rotfl2:

Bryce liked the you tube video. On ESPN yesterday we had a ManU game. I taped it but haven't watched it yet.

Enjoy it Janice but remember this is United we do nothing the easy way this is not for the faint hearted.....:rolleyes1

You all and my DD will have a lot to talk about on the cruise. She is a big ManU fan. She watched the game yesterday. She is the reason we have to buy the extra package for our cable is so she can see their games.

Now that's just not nice.:rotfl:

IT’S the world’s biggest warship — and packs the most powerful punch in naval history.

And now the supercarrier USS Theodore Roosevelt’s real-life Top Guns have been directing their might at helping wounded Brit troops.

More than 1,000 American pilots, engineers and sailors answered The Sun’s Help for Heroes challenge: What will you do? by running a marathon on their jumbo 1,150ft flight deck.

Warriors ... fundraiser

US NAVY

The efforts — branded Warriors for Warriors — raised £7,000 for the charity’s £20million fundraising appeal to build seven recovery centres for injured British troops.

Yesterday The Sun was invited on to the 97,000-ton vessel for the cheque handover.

The scale of the nuclear-powered warship is staggering. Standing 252ft tall, she has 20 floors, is as long as the Empire State Building is high and has 5,500 crew.

Her fleet of 90 aircraft — including 50 F18 Super Hornet jets — is bigger than most countries’ entire air force.

To complete the 26.2-mile race, the runners had to do 71 laps of the vessel’s flight deck. She is on her way home after her pilots flew five months of missions over Afghanistan.

Air ace Lt Cdr Mark Mhley, 35, from Virginia, who co-organised the marathon, said: “We are on our way home but we wanted our support for your guys to continue.

“So many British guys are having to go home wounded — we’ve seen that for ourselves.”

Help for Heroes founders Bryn and Emma Parry received the cheque on the carrier, currently off Portsmouth, while Lt Col Simon Butt represented Britain’s war-wounded.

Simon said: “It’s a terrific gesture — and it will mean a huge amount to our guys.”

Fatty i'll donate (Honesty needed by all:rolleyes1) £1 for every pound lost by a BOB member to The Sun’s Help for Heroes campaign, you weight yourself today and that will be your start weight and the final weigh in will be the week before we leave for the states in October.....come on people our heroes need you.....:thumbsup2

just a drive by post.....

Love your post, AFEG. Have you ever been on a carrier? Amazing how big they are!

I know what you mean by the injured needing help. The young men who have come back injured is staggeringly high. If anyone is ever wondering where to donate money, the Veteran's Assoc (the VA) is a good place to start.

Y'all have a great day. :goodvibes

I wish.... ;)

Thanks for all the compliments on the cakes! I had a lot of fun, especially with the diaper cake. That "wowed" everyone at the shower!

The fun things in life (baby showers, projects, cruise planning, chat buddies) all help when you start to struggle with other things in life. :goodvibes

You fishing again Paige?.....:rotfl2:

Couldn't agree more dear, these are the same men and women who allow us to live our way of life and sometimes pay the highest price,we should all do what we can to thank them, and even a hand shake can mean so much and that don't cost anything.....:thumbsup2

Chris climb down from your soap box now,sorry....:rolleyes1
