We are. Scott mentioned this seafood place that looks not that hot but is always SOOOOOO crowded and we hear great things about it. I was gonna call and see if it was pretty casual so we could be semi loud (like I know we will be). Let me know what you think.

Seafood would work for us. That is the one best thing about the east coast, all the seafood places.

When Suz' friend use to live up in Frederick, MD, we'd go to a place called Jug Bridge Inn. All you can eat crab. Really good.

When we went down to Charleston, SC, we went to a couple of different seafood places - really good again.

DS eats baked fish, but most places will have kid friendly items too, so I'm sure we'll be fine.

We are reallly looking forward to it. Less than 4 weeks. :cool1:

I have been booked on this cruise now since August 2008, and I want to say that I have felt very welcome getting to know everyone these last 7-8 months. Sure there are occasional times(very rare) when I do feel like an outsider, but that is to be expected since I was not on KK1, and haven't met any of you face to face.

On my last DCL cruise. I did post on the cruise meet thread but there was no formal introductions, no pictures shared, and no awesome Cass to build a "Who's Going" website! :lmao: That thread was not really active. All that was said was, "meet by the pool at 3:00 on sailaway day. Well there were a few decent size groups by the pool that day, but I didn't dare go to each one and say, "are you a DISer???? Incidentally, I didn't meet any DISers on my last cruise which is a shame!

For this cruise that will not be the case. I feel like I really know a lot of you already and am looking forward to the DIS meet by the pool at the Radission, then in the terminal on Sailaway day. You all know what I look like, I know what you look like so it will almost be like a family reunion of sort.

So...I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for welcoming me into this group. It is going to be a new experience for me spending a vacation with not only family but 30 or so friends that I have been talking to for a year prior to sailing. That is going to make this a real special vacation! :goodvibes

Christian, I know exactly how you feel. On KK1 I was a bit blown away at how the Cruise Thread I started blew up to nearly a major destination on the Disboards. But it was the welcoming and friendly nature of all of the Kruisers that really made that vacation for us. There's a great many friends that I can't wait to see again, but also a list of those who I can't wait to meet. I count you among them. This will be a Blast!

I'm so glad you feel this way Christian. You have been a key part in our list of characters yourself. So, "thank you" too!;)

Amen

:yay:200 more days until vacation!!!:yay:

:lmao::rotfl2:
she wants to see it.:cutie: but knows shes gonna cry.(big time):rotfl:

We leave around May 15th. He has been planning the trip all week. He has all the roads planned. He has done so much research. Everything is on his garmin. We will go to his mother's first day. After that he has it all planned out. We will be in Gatlinburg and doing the Tale of the Dragon, Blue Ridge Parkway, Washington DC (bike rally there), Aimish in Pennsyvania, Massachusetts (my Family), New Hampshire (Laconia Bike Rally) (more of my family) and to Cleveland, Ohio to see some very dear friends. I know I am missing some important information but Walt can send you our itenerary. (sp) Then home for a couple weeks then off to Sturgis, North Dakota, Yellowstone, Mt Rushmore, and Grand Tetons. Very busy summer. Diane

Are you riding your bikes all that way? Wow Laconia. That's practicall in our back yard relatively speaking! Both our sons have been to bike week in the past although not together. I guess it's quite an experience. Have you been before?

N

hey walt.:cool2:
have a great ride.:cool1:

my attempt at a funny (or creepy) story.:rolleyes1
theres a couple about our age in the condo across the street from us that we talk to on occasion. she bought a new attachment for her bike that allows it to become a stationary bike.
she set it up in her driveway this morning and was riding away, listening to her ipod.

i told robin "watch this":rolleyes1
i went and got my binoculars and proceded to watch the neighbor girl.:3dglasses
robin says "thats creepy"
it took a few seconds, but that lady finally looked up and saw me and was cracking up.:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

On Friday he was eating jello from a little cup. He was having problems getting the last square out of the cup with his spoon in his left hand. It kept slipping away from him. He decided to knock it down like a shot instead. He thought it slipped down pretty easily too. Well about 20 minutes later he said his chest felt warm and wet. He looked under the blankets and noticed his gown was all green. His jello never made it down his throat, instead into the chest pocket on his gown and it melted!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

:yay:200 more days until vacation!!!:yay:

:woohoo:

Enjoy your peace and quiet Karen! :thumbsup2

I did:cloud9:.. Neils up now so its time to cook dinner:rolleyes:

I was kidding about using the sticks for a poochies pooh, but I didn't know what a Pooh Stick game was either. I'm not a Pooh fan. (Can I say that here?). Now I get it though. :thumbsup2

Karen, when Kristin was in grade school she always had problems with spelling. We would go mall walking at night (no shopping) and practice her spelling words as we walked. I had her lesson with me and quized her on the words while we walked around. We killed two birds with one stone that way. I got my exercise and Kristin did homework all at the same time. If she got all her words correct by the end of the walk, she got a quarter to spend at the "snack attack" kiosk. Snack Attack Kiosks are little gumball machines with gum, candy, chocolates in them. For a quarter you get a little handful. Just a thought for you and Ellis and his math. Maybe there is a way you could work his math work into a work out for you too. ;)

I'm not keen on Pooh either... he's everywhere over here:rolleyes:

I like your idea re maths:thumbsup2... I do shout out sums while we're in the car, but I can do it whilst walking now too:thumbsup2 The end of the walk is an icecream van - that could be his reward:thumbsup2

Guess I should have read before sending the PM. Maybe they can meet up next week.

Yep, just let me know when:thumbsup2

I love getting hotel rooms on the ocean and sitting on the balcony watching the water and waves. I love the ocean sounds. I also love walking on the beach and picking up shells. One of my favorite things to do. I grew up on the ocean. I never knew how lucky I was. Diane

We love the ocean too - we're very lucky so be so close. We spend a lot of time at York ?Beach in southern Maine. Do you know where it is?

I've just made some updates to the BOB site, a couple people have canceled so I've taken them off :guilty:

I was just looking at the DIS Tag page and saw someone who is playing and I have no idea who they are :confused3

Anyone know who Susan and Steve are??? Sorry, my brain is not working as well as it should and I have totally forgotten who they are :scared:

Guess this question was answered already.

I noticed no one else posted it, so I will go ahead and say it, even though it is a few hours late.

29 Weeks to Sail Away!

I think on Thursday I said that 29 weeks from then I'd be in FL but then maybe that was someone else I told that to!!!

That's good news :grouphug:

It seems the ones that are the most peeved are the ones that stretched their points by not staying weekends. We've done it both ways so I am fine with it, this way we'll be more inclined to stay put for a week instead of splitting a stay between a DVC resort and a value or moderate to save weekend points.

:woohoo: Kira pictures, I need to read back yet to find them!

Re points: That's what we have done a couple times - gone on a Monday & stayed 10 days to a Thursday so as to only have one weekend. But we've only been able to do that since we retired.

Just waiting around for "the kid" to arrive back home, she went with one of her friends to Subway to have some lunch. Once she arrives home, the three of us are off to the mall for a special 3pm appointment.
