Yes I am still reading. Walt just fell asleep. He went riding today with a buddy. I crocheted at the hospital with some friends. We make blankets for preemies. Am I really in stealth mode. I would have never known. Walt must have done it. Diane

I wasn't clear, sorry. Ash Wed and Good Fri weren't in the OT, but the Jews did fast and abstain.

In this day and age, it would seem that fish should be considered "meat." I think that in those early times, meat was more of an "offering" or "sacrifice" than fish would be.

Edited to add: It has to do with "meat" being that which comes from warm blooded animals.

Paige, thanks for the clarification. I didn't know what constituted "meat". Some say "hooved" (sp?) feet, but that would leave chicken and turkey, but those are "meat".

So cold blooded would mean we could eat snakes, turtles and crocs?
