Well, time to get DS breakfast and then out the door. The tournament goes to 3:30 and then church is at 5:00, then dinner, so I may not be on until this evening.

Everyone have a great day.

All my best to DS at the tournament........:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Good Morning All

Mimi I noticed in you post last night you mentioned your property taxes going up $40.00 per hundred .
Didn't you mean per thousand?

Dan

Hi Dan,

I think you might be referring to my post. Our local taxes are expected to go up at least .40 cents per $100.00 of the property value, we are still waiting to see what the school tax increase is going to be. Our county tax is remaining the same as 2008.

FYI...

Per WebmasterAlex:

The boards will be shutting down at 10pm Eastern Time, tomorrow, Saturday March 21 for a major upgrade. I expect them to be down for 5 to 6 hours.

Good morning everyone...

I have a Men's Fellowship Bowling Tournament to go to today. I don't really bowl, but take the men from the church. I usually bowl about a 120 unless it is Wii bowling where I have a high score of 227.
Watching the series finale of Battlestar popcorn::
What did you think Cass??? I thought it was very good. I almost cried a couple of times.

I remember getting passes while coming up the escalators at least once. I also remember getting them in line. For the KK cruise, I remember when I got back to the port, they were giving them out at the top of the escalators. Suz got in so early, I'm not sure where she got hers. We were the first at the gate and they though she was a "back-to-back" cruiser and let her in. She was the only one in the terminal for about 30 minutes.

On the repo they wouldn't give a boarding pass out until after you checked in and were going to the next room. Can't really do that in FL though.

In October they gave them out as you got in the check in line.

off to gets this place cleaned up. may be baby sitting today.:thumbsup2

have a good day gang.:grouphug:

Evening peoples :wave2:

I had a very late workout tonight, sounds like I missed a fun evening chat!

The new ships will be able to fit through the canal once it's widened, which is 2014 I think. They are contracted to stay in Port Canaveral for a minimum of 5 years.

We cruised RCCL in 2003 on the Explorer of the Seas and I wasn't really impressed. The food was horrible and there were lines everywhere. Our serving team was horrible! Even though we made it very clear that neither of us could drink alcohol because of medical reasons, they totally pushed the drinks on us every single night, it was soooo irritating  After a few nights we got really sick of it and stopped going to the dining room. We had supper in the buffet, that's how annoyed we were!

We went to Ocho Rios, Jamaica and climbed Dunn's River Falls. It's a very poor country, even more so than St Maarten I would say. I also didn't like Labadee, their "private island" stop. :crazy2:

I don't think I would cruise RCCL ever again. I'm sure it's a good fit for some people but it's just not for us.

Cass, Isn't it funny what different experiences people can have. I'm sure background brings a lot to the table too. I was really concerned the first time we went, because I have been very blessed with some amazing travel, cultural, and culinary experiences. While there have been items I have not been pleased with on each line, overall I have had good experiences. I am so sorry you had that one bad experience on RCI

Good Morning All.

I see Andy let you know that was his post. That is a lot isn't it?

Hopefully that will speed things up again. Everytime I am on here lately the boards are running really slow.

Ellis is off to karate soon. He has to do the preliminary moves today for his belt next week. He's going for green belt next week.

Next week he'll have a 2 hour class as normal, then I have one and half hours to feed him and get him over to Walsall from Sutton for the exams. I guess it will be a sandwich in the car en-route. It will have to be white food though - can you imagine his gi (karate suit) if it wasnt:scared:

Good luck L for your wrestling today:thumbsup2

In case I don't get much time to get on here again next week: Good Luck Ellis on getting your green belt!

That is a lot isn't it?

It sure is, last year's local tax increas was only about .09 cents per $100.00 of property value. The reason the increase this year is so high is because of two major problems. One, a lawsuit the township lost against an oil refinery at the cost of $8.2 million dollars, the second, a bankrupt corporation project that cost the township another $5.2 million dollars. This $13.4 million dollars now has to be paid for by township tax dollars, causing our tax rate to soar this year. The average homeowner will see a tax increase of over $500.00 for the local tax rate, again, this does not include any increase in the school taxes. The 2009 school budget, for the township, has not been completed as of yet.

We were able to get one of the 2-disk special edition Twilight DVDs last night. We ended up having to go to Wal Mart to get it though. When we got to Borders all their DVDs had already been pre-sold. So we headed over to the closest Wal Mart that was having a "Twilight party" It was very un-organized but after waiting in line for well over an hour Rachel and her friend Courtney both got them  I think we will be watching Twilight tonight, we were too tired to watch it when we got home after 12:30 this morning.

Have you read the books?

Have a good weekend everyone! Al and I are going to do more painting and fix it work at a rental property he has and then tonight we are getting together with some friends for cake and coffee to celebrate their birthdays. Tomorrow morning I am working a few hours to help out the weekend tech and to make some more money to go towards this cruise. I almost have enough set aside now to pay it all off :dance3:

Janice, in skimming back I saw that things went well for Mackenzie in her play last night and she had a lot of fun :cheer2: I can't wait to see picture!! Wish her good luck tonight again!
