:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

we were talking the other day about how when we were growing up, we'd ride our bikes to a nearby pond, fish catch frogs, etc. and spend hrs there. and we were only like 9 or 10 years old.:wizard::wizard:

no way you could leave the kids alone that long these days.:sad2:

You must have been talking with us Mike. We were just talking about Drive In theaters. There used to be a really big one about a block from where we live now. It's been long gone. But weren't those fun? Pile up all your friends and go to see three movies for the price of one? I couldn't even imagine the liability on something like that now. :upsidedow

horrible local news story today of a man who was out walking with his dog and spotted what he thought was a small brush fire in a park.

Turned out to be a burning cat, what was left. It had been tied up also and the gas can nearby.

:sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1:

I hate those stories, they bother me more than human deaths sometimes because animals can be so defenseless and I'm sure they do nothing to justify their cruel deaths.

I'm glad that they made this crime a felony, and I hope they find the responsible party or parties.:mad:

the passion pit??:lmao: thats what robins mom called the drive in.:rotfl2:
she used to forbid us from going there.:lmao:(we went anyway)
we still have 2 drive in's by us.:thumbsup2

as i recall, ages ago, the dawg hid in the trunk of a friends car so we could save a few $$.:rolleyes1

I hear ya. I have to do something next Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday that I just hate, but I have no choice. If it were appreciated, it wouldn't be so bad but it was demanded of me. :mad:

I'm always told...'The nicer you are to people to more you get kicked in the bum for it'. I'm beginning to believe that. :confused3

I hope she does have a good time. That's highly doubtful for me though. There won't be ANY fun involved!!:headache:

Just tell Chuck you have a headache.;)

we still have 2 around here.
One is really yucky, but the other is fairly large and kept up nice, with nice homemade pizzas and hot dogs, burgers, popcorn inside the movie projecting building.
They give away a free pizza at intermission.
We won one once but had just had a bunch of snacks so we gave our ticket to a neighboring car, they were very happy:)

Anyhow, it's about $6 to see either a double or triple feature there, per person.

They broadcast over the radio to hear in your car, there are also some old fashioned boxs to hook up to your window or outside if you're hanging out.

My friend Donna and I did the same thing. We were small enough to fit in the trunk. The funny part was the look on the ticket attendants face when our boyfriends pulled up. I guess it looked a little funny when 2 guys went to a drive in together! :rotfl:

I know of at least one around here too Rose. We haven't been there though. I'll have to check it out this summer since we aren't loaded down with wedding plans anymore. :woohoo:

Sean told me that that story on youtube where someone was posting a video of beating up a cat:

Well, Sean hangs out on some computer/tech forum quite often and these kids do lots of bad stuff like hacking and downloading but he sad that when they heard about that person hurting that cat they used their abilities to track down the responsible person(s) and found him(them). :yay:

Sean said it wasn't him, but others on his forum that led to the arrest and since they helped they were going to get to go testify too:thumbsup2

Hackers can be helpers!

I don't know how people can be so cruel.

Hey MIke, I see your post count.

Did you HAVE to do one of those POEMS recently?:rolleyes:
