Rats I just looked into the Park, Sleep, Fly Hotels at Sacramento. The only one with 24 hr shuttle is very expensive. The others shuttle to the Airport too late for our 6:05am flight.

Hazel wants to go to our church's 6:30 service tonight because of the time change thing happening overnight. So folks, I am signing off for awhile, will probably check in after we get back. Bye for now.........

That would be convenient for everyone except us ministers.

So, Ellis and I went on our "date" this evening

He was quite the young man He even wore aftershave and hair gel

He asked for the bill and paid it all by himself (Daddy filled his wallet up for him)

The waitress couldnt believe it

What made it hysterical though was he didnt want to leave a tip ...he was moaning about how much I wanted to leave her ... he figured the more he left on the table, the less was left in his wallet.

What he doesnt realize is that Daddy will be asking for his change when he sees him in the morning

We had a lovely time

I am new here and am sailing with you all on October 24th with my husband and 7 year old son. We just made reservations yesterday.It will be our 10th year anniversary. We are in California. Just wanted to say hello!

Hi Gina - Welcome Aboard! I'm Mimi and am sailing with my husband, Mack.Our kids are in college, so they won't be with us. We are celebrating Mack's birthday on the cruise as well as our 17th anniversary.Glad to have you! In what part of CA are you? I finished my MEd. recently and was in class many times with a woman who has become a dear friend. She lives in Long Beach.

Thanks for sending me that. White Plains/Westchester isn't on that site, but Bradley is so if we get an early flight we may look into it.

White Plains/Westchester is a very small airport that caters primarily to corporate jets. The closest city would be Greenwich, CT...the richest city in America. I don't think I will find affordable lodging there!

I think they have 3 or 4 gates for the airlines that serve the airport. There is one garage thats it. I have googled "parking at westchester airport" and the answer I find the most is to "get a ride" It would be pretty hard finding someone to drive us 100 miles one way.

I am still holding out for Delta or Southwest to come through for me.

3 hours travelling, 2 hours beach time - not sure if I want to waste the travelling time. I might head for a closer beach and chill there instead.


We'd love to, but pennies are tight at the moment. We loved Chicago last time we went. I was pregnant with Ellis on our trip there. I'd want to see the Oprah show and have cheesecake at Eli's again if we went

We had a 2 centre trip Chicago and Boston. Loved both places. Maybe next year

Good luck with those tickets for Oprah, Karen. They are just about impossible to get.

Someone asked about AFEG? Last I saw, he took some poor kid's Snickers bar and said, "you don't want end up looking like me, do you?". I got a picture of the whole incident:

It was Andy ... we've never been out just the 2 of us before. I think he enjoyed playing the big grown up man with the money

I did tease him though... I knew how much his Dad had put in his wallet, so I casually mentioned how much the bill would probably be, purposely making it more than he had.... you ought to have seen his face when he thought he wouldnt have enough ... poor kid looked scared to death ... I told him straight away that I was only kidding.

I can only imagine what that little face looked like.
