Enjoy your snow everyone. I still have two feet of the stuff. Just got back from my youngests hockey game. They are in playoffs and are leading the series, 2 games to 1 against a stronger team.

:cheer2: Good luck in the playoffs!!:cheer2:

Look who's back :sad2:

I thought you might have been snagged in another one of those pesky vice raids. Too bad.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh the wonders of snow in the South! Of course, snow in the South is always accompanied by ice, and it certainly seems we always have a tree fall when there is ice. This time it fell on my daughter's dog's house. He is an outside dog. We had a heater in his house for him, and the heater saved him. It held the tree off him and kept the tree from taking down the whole roof. Lots of wood is broken and splinters inside his house, but he is okay and inside our house now. Mack has a job ahead of him as I am very allergic to Hershey, and here we are headed into allergy season. I guess some of our fun money for the cruise is going toward fixing the doghouse. At least the tree didn't fall on our house this time. Let's hope no more trees fall!

Awww, poor little pooch. Well, maybe not so poor. Looks like he's living the high life now. :woohoo:

I've just updated my trip report with info on our visit to Raglan Road.

I'll be there. :thumbsup2

hey guys. we're back. had an amazing time. stayed just ahead of the bad weather all the way home. (cass would have loved the lightning in jacksonville this morning during the tornado watch.):scared:

Good morning everybody.:goodvibes

Its lovely and sunny here this morning:cool1:

a new week and a fresh start with Ellis:woohoo: . I hope this week brings more smiles and less arguements:headache:

I've loaded up on painkillers so I'm off to tackle those darned leaves in the back garden once he's at school. I have plants I want to cut back etc and tidy up but I might have difficulty as most of them are quite low ... low = bending = pain:rotfl:

Have a great day everybody:dance3:

May your working week pass quickly and your leisure time pass slowly:goodvibes

Maybe a few more of those painkillers and Ellis won't appear so "norty" then Karen??:rotfl2:

Got the car and driveway clear of the first 4" of sn*w that fell just in time for part #2 of the storm to start. Another 3" to 5" are in our future today. Not as bad as it could have been, and I am very happy about that!!! :upsidedow

Now, I have to go and get my work car cleaned off and get my work day under way........:sad2:

For those who have to drive/work in this stuff, be safe!!! ;)

Question of the Day (Thanks Kathy)

What's your favorite table service restaurant?

My answer: Polynesian Luau. (or Pirate Night on DCL in Parrot Cay);)

All these favorite food questions - this never works for me. It always depends on my mood and for what meal. If we're talking breakfast, most of the time it's the Kona Kafe for some pineapple-macadamia pancakes and Tonga Toast along with a French press pot. But Spoodles is now a breakfast favorite too.

If we're talking table service for lunch - oh this is hard... depends on my mood, of course. We've loved Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch, Crystal Palace if we've wanted characters... oh there are too many choices.....

This is pretty much a 3-way tie between The Flying Fish, Le Cellier and Artist's Point.

Flying Fish and Le Cellier are on my must-do lists for an upcoming trip!

The Potato Wrapped Red Snapper is to DIE for at FF. Make sure you ask for Chris the waiter, even if you have to wait a little longer, and tell him the Hoffmann's sent you! If Chris isn't there, ask for Russ.:thumbsup2 They will be in my upcoming trip report on the Flying Fish!

The steaks at Le Cellier as some of the best I've ever had and I LOVE the pretzel bread.

Kamy and Steve love Le Cellier for steaks too - that is what made me want to go there to start. I can't wait!

Good morning everyone from snowy Connecticut! We have several inches on the ground and the next band of snow is moving in soon. I don't dare start clearing it especially considering they haven't yet cleared our street curb to curb. It drives me nuts how they plow snow here.

Morning guys.
Welcome home Mike and Robin. Can't wait to see pics.
I thought I would share some of my sister's pics from her Disney trip last week.

Lori, great pics of Tanya's trip t WDW. Still a bummer they won't be joining us.

How was your weekend by the way?

Wierd weather here in SE Wisconsin. Bright and Sunny out by Nancy and my houses, but they are getting 7"-10" of snow at the airport. We have lake effect snow every once and a while. I've seen it where north of here would get dumped along the lake, but not here in the city (usually only 1"-2" from lake effect). Still nothing compared to what the NE is getting today.

This is why I live inland. In the summer, it would not be out of the norm for us to be 15* warmer, not to mention sunny when it is cloudy by the lake.

Well I just did the "preliminary" clearing of our driveway. I didn't move the cars yet, but just did around them. We are expecting between 3-6 more inches throughout the day, so I am sure that I will go back out later this afternoon for a more thorough clearing.

Lori, nice pics. Thanks for sharing.
