Laters guys..gotta do some work.:goodvibes

Good morning everyone. I am caught up on the thread after missing last night. I was a good husband and let Elaine have the computer all night. I really hope the work laptop doesn't take long to get fixed.
I'm in a good mood tonight. I just lowered our stay in DC this spring by $90. Gotta love when the hotels go on sale. Kinda like at WDW.

So Lori, are you going to come up to DC when we're in? I was talking to Paige about coming up too. Maybe we can do a mini-DIS meet there. :woohoo:
We are going to DC for a day or so this summer. We are driving to Georgia to visit Elaine's Aunt and Uncle, so on the way home we will stop in DC. The kids are excited, since they are learning about all of the President's in school. It will be fun to go to the Lincoln Memorial, walk past the White House, Washington Monument, etc. We won't stay too long, just enough for the kids to get a little something out of it. It will also break up the trip coming home, and I do have some vacation time to spare.

Todays Question of the Day is brought to you by Kathy:

What's your favorite mode of Disney transportation? (monorail, boat, etc)

My answer: I'm being creative here and answering The Disney Magic. :goodvibes (Otherwise the monorail).:cutie:
Well, obviously the Magic, but in park, I do love that monorail. Ever since I was a kid, I have loved riding on it. On our last visit, on our last day as we were heading to the airport, we got to sit in the front with the driver/captain whatever they are called. That was a lot of fun. He honked the horn to the resort monorail as it went by us.

It was our first cruise and we were too chicken to take a non-DCL excursion that late in the day. We heard about that bridge and decided against it. Karen, remember Jo and Danny (Perdidobay)? They took a taxi and went to Maho. They brought back some amazing pics & video too. :thumbsup2

I'm half and half whether to risk it or not - I'd love to go to see the planes but scared I'd miss the ship:scared1:

I love the announcement on the monorail and I loved riding up front with the driver, I also love the little horse drawn carriages and old cars along Main Street.

There is a website I've been to where you can track flights. You can also check an airport code for all the flights coming to it on a given day. Once we get to September, I'll take a look at it on Tuesdays and see if anyone else is flying in.

It is a pretty cool website. Shows which planes are flying in the area (landing, taking off, and flying over). You can also track the flight on its route. Did you know on a normal take off, a plane gets to its cruising altitude in 20 min? I never knew it was that quick. Seems longer.

Cool! - sounds good:thumbsup2

I'd agree with you on this one MG!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Congrats on DISpost #7000 MG!!!

Hi Lori, glad to see you stopping by the thread tonight. Nice pic. Never drove to FL though, so I can't relate. Too long of a drive for me.

We stop by very frequently. Actually, I wish I could get frequent visitor miles.....lol. We are lurkers.........searching out info and gossip......:cool1:

That is the one that you can see the which flights are where as well as see the altitude and speed of the flight. The one that is best to use to see all flights into an airport would be FlyteComm. Just put in the arrival airport code and it will give you every flight that has arrived, is in route or is scheduled to come there on a given day.

St. Maarten's airport code is SXM, however, on this site, you need to put in TNCM.

Thanks everyone for the :grouphug: they are greatly appreciated!!! :goodvibes

It's amazing how the years fly by, our first daughter Kristen, who was stillborn, would be turning 32 this coming April, she was born the day before my 22nd birthday. Man, I must be getting old, eh??? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I think the weather forecasters messed up a bit. It started sn*wing and sleeting around 9am as I was walking around reading meters this morning. Yesterday it was reported we were going up into the 50's today....39* right now.

Two weeks from today we'll be getting ready for our flight to Florida!!! :sunny:

Time to head back to work, see ya later........:wave2:
