Gotta love pictures of the planes landing in St. Maarten (at least I believe this is from there - still awesome).

I soooooo wanna see that!:yay:

Is that a recent photo?

I thought I'd read that the beach was no longer there? or am I thinking of something else? I get confused easily!

Good evening everybody:goodvibes

I had my friend round today with her baby - he's 15 weeks old now! - time flies...

Of course I had to have a munch:cutie: ...or 10!:cutie:

I have a funny story..

Yesterday I passed my friend in the playground and asked if she planned on having a coffee the next morning like we normally do on a Tuesday morning with a few other moms. She looked at me blankly and said "its Tuesday today Karen, you missed it":lmao: :rolleyes1

Anyway, this afternoon about 10 Moms were lined up waiting for me to go past... as I walk past they all shout "ITS WEDNESDAY TODAY KAREN":lmao: :lmao: I wonder if they'll be there tomorrow to tell me its Thursday:lmao::lmao:

Thats the way its supposed to look. If you look at other pics of a 747 with the gear down, you will see the same thing.

Looks like the other gear is straight (i.e. not tilted). That's why it looked odd.

No, that beach is gone. It has to be an old picture.

Poor Neil is stuck at work, 3 hours drive away, and cant get the machine fixed. He has no electricians available, no other engineers, and the equipment is not repairable. He doesnt even know if he can get a hotel tonight:sad2:

I think he needs some dust stuffpixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

That'll teach me for being away from DIS for 24hrs...it takes ages to catch up and now it's time for me to say goodnight. I have a sore throat and I need to go and take something for it.

There are two sets of main gear on either side. You are seeing just the one side of the main gear. Underneath the right wing is another pair. The one set would be angled down like that.

Shame:sad2: ... is it dreadful there now? I'd still like the experience of having a 747 almost land on your head though:thumbsup2

Cass may have a current pic of that beach. I think it is Maho Beach. You can try to google it and see if there are any recent pics.

Got that already (see above post). Thanks for clarifying though.

Here is a good pic of a Virgin 747 landing at Orlando. You can see both sets of gear angled, then the centers together as well.

In Dawg's absence, I will answer for him.
