Just out-waiting tornado warnings and hail. Supposedly there are three big strands going through. My daughter has had two directly over her campus and was driving during one and had to stop. We have had one and another is very close. I don't like hail - I am always concerned about damage to the roof and the cars (since the garage is being used for storage right now). We are supposed to have some unseasonably cold weather coming in which is why we are getting all this - warm from Florida meeting the cold from up north.

Karen - I hope you are feeling better soon.

The Girls aka Annette and Amanda - I'm sure you are excited about your trip home! I know I'd love to go spend some time down there - well, for more than a weekend which turns into one day.

She'll start chemo in a couple of weeks and had to cancel her May trip. She'll do 12 rounds over the next 6 months and can still make the SSMC 09.

WOw that's pretty intense, I will keep her in m y prayers that all goes well.

Yep, it is an honor to be able to go to our King and lift her up to Him and ask for His healing hand. She has a good attitude about it, but she is a little more concerned knowing what to expect, she said.

Thanks for all the "Welcomes" from everyone along with the advice on whether to go to Disney the week before or after the cruise. I'm still undecided. We've been in October before and didn't really want to have to leave early or pay extra for MNSSHP and have heard that the crowds are getting bigger because of MNSSHP. But I wasn't sure how they compared to Jersey week for crowds. We may also go to MNSSHP after getting off the ship on the 31st.

Again I'm amazed at the number of posts even since yesterday!!! When I signed on today I wasn't even really expecting anyone to have responded yet, let alone all the welcoming and advice. I'm new at the discussion board thing and apparently have a lot to learn

My favourite Disney resort would have to be Fort Wilderness. The kids love the movies on the big screen, making smores around the campfire with Chip & Dale and the boat ride to the MK. But if I had to pick between Fort Wilderness and the Disney Magic ... I would have to say Disney Magic every time.

I'll be sure to check in a lot more often but for now I'm off to walk my energetic beagle up here in the western Canadian cold.

Well, Tanya and fam should be landing in Orlando anytime now. They are staying at All Sports and going to hit all 4 parks in the next 4 days. I am soooooo jealous.

Hiya peeps.. been in bed since my last post. Still in lots of pain but had to get up as the window repair is being done this afternoon.
Mom has looked after Ellis for me.
I've managed to get dressed, (took about an hour to get my socks on) , the next task is to get downstairs .. I'm just gonna hand the men the keys and leave them to it.
If they want a cuppa they will have to make it themselves.

A few minutes ago, I heard a terrible rumbling outside. It almost sounded like an airplane. When I looked out the back window at the street behind us, I saw the snow plow plowing. The question is, plowing what? Sammi came tearing down the stairs asking with a concerned sound in her voice, "daddy what's that sound."

I wonder how much asphalt they pulled up plowing nothing but a little bit of slush! Clearly laying some salt would have done the trick.
