Anytime Janice. What day are you guys flying down? Are you coming out of Milwaukee or Minneapolis?

As of right now, AT has 3 flights from Milwaukee. The earliest is in the 7:00 hour and the last is in the 5:00 hour.

Not sure if we'll do 7:00 on Thursday or push it up to 5:00 on Wednesday. It would get us an extra day in WDW if we go Wednesday. :cool1:

Since we are in the middle, which ever is cheaper

NO!! aahhhh thats next on the planning side.. I figure it will be exploring the citys and beaches..unless you have better sugestions?

Thought you wanted to go snorkeling at one of the ports

I laugh cause everyone is worried about their smaller children and I am worried cause i have teenagers that whine more than Kira..LOL

I am scared to take them too far :lmao: at least when the kids are small you know they get tired... mine will make me wanna sell them to the locals!..lol:rotfl2:

:lmao: :rotfl:

Is Divi Little Bay on St. Maarten close to where we dock. Do you know if they have decent snorkleing there? We are not planning an excursion on St. Maarten to save some $$ and I told Rachel we'd just try and find a beach close to where we dock and spend some time there and if we end up back on the ship early we can enjoy the Magic while it's not very crowded.

The beach in the bay where we dock in St. M is nice. We went there our first trip to the Eastern. I think on the other side of the pier there is a water trampoline too. The water taxi that leaves from the port goes to the pier between the two beaches.

Not sure if we're doing that or Dawn Beach.

HI GUYs

Our grandson team won 4-1
Week after next Nana and Grampa travel to Bangor which is about 100miles from Brunswick to the State PEWEE tourney which the boys play in. They will be placed 2nd or third in the State in there division of Pewee Hockey.
That means 2 overnights. We do it every year.
Nancy and I are the Nana and Grampa of the team:rotfl::rotfl:.
You and Mack have a great week.
Just got through watching Extreme Make over the show that Capt Chris took part in with the S elevation Army. I believe his crew fed the workers.
Have a great evening.

DAN

You're teaching me so much about what kind of grandparent I want to be. I never had grandparents, so I am thankful for the lessons. Your grandchildren are so blessed!!!!!

Here's a little quote about Little Bay:
Little Bay: Sporting a white sand beach front, Little Bay offers calm water (barring southeasterly winds). Great for snorkeling. Access to water sports and restaurants at Belair Beach Hotel and Divi Little Bay.

Thanks Cass  that sounds just like what we're looking for :thumbsup2

I know, but I'm so worried about the cab rides without carseats. Call me parnoid, but I don't know what to do about that.

DS was 5 when we took him. That would be older than your kids. I don't recall if they had seat belts either. So much for be a US possession (guess our laws don't carry down there).

Yeah, I've read all the rave reviews about MegansBay but I also read how crowded it gets and I really don't like crowds. :scared:

Meghan's wasn't that crowded when we went. I would think Trunk would be more.

Meghan's is suppose to be like glass, but we went right after a storm and it was rough. Not sure if you remember the pics I posted. I'll have to look for them again. I got hit by a 5-6 foot wave, dropped DS and lost my glasses. I found DS by my feet though. Scariest thing to ever happen to me. Everyone else goes there though and it isn't as rough. We may try again if we can't get to Trunk (again, the first time we went they cancelled all the St.J excursions - you can see why if Meghan's was that rough).

Suz wants to get them done both at the same time, but we're looking at flying down 1 week before Teachers' Vacation, I mean Convention, so I don't think we need to rush.

I could have flown to MCO in Feb for $113 round trip. I think we'll see the one-way go down to $79 plus taxes for sure. I may even bite at $99+. They will start, however, at $119+.

You can get on Midwest into Tampa if you feel like gambling.

Don't think I want to gamble with Midwest anymore, they came through for us in Dec. and now they just have to stick around for us to get home on them from Vegas in June but I think that's the last I'll be booking with them.

I am a huge fan of just sight seeing.. I could watch waves till the end of the world.. and if there are flowers..lol thats where I will be!! :flower3:

Yes, I remember that scary moment in your life :scared1:

It looks gorgeous and can see why it is popular, just afraid it will be too busy :scared: Here is a little write up on MB:

Magens Bay is St. Thomas' most popular beach. The beautiful one mile stretch is a public park and was donated to the people of the Virgin Islands by Arthur Fairchild. It is the only beach on St. Thomas that has an entry fee; funds are used to maintain the facilities and the beach. The water is usually very calm with no waves or current, great for floating along and for swimming. The bay deepens gradually from shore making it perfect for small children. Snorkeling is possible along the rocky coast, but Magens Bay is not known for good snorkeling. A water sports booth rents paddle boats, kayaks and sunfish. Beach chairs, floats and snorkel sets are available at the concession. Also at the concession is a bar and restaurant that serves burgers, pizzas and other snacks, a gift shop and a hair braiding stand. The beach is a popular stop on island tour itineraries and can get crowded on days when there are several cruise ships in port. Most beach goers pick a spot close to the restaurant area, so typically if you walk down the shore a bit away form the concession you will find fewer people.

yeah.. just have to figure out where..lol but that was the only thing I thought of..lol

Well, you can either pick a snorkle excursion (on a boat)or you can just go to a beach and do some snorkeling there :thumbsup2 Sounds like Little Bay is a good spot for snorkeling, you should join us...sounds like a party in the making :goodvibes :woohoo:

Do you remember what the name of that beach near the dock is called?

This might be a stupid question but it has been 8 years since we've been to St. Maarten and at that time we tendered, do we still tender at St. Maarten or do we dock at a pier?

I had a free flight left on NWA that I used to get a ticket for Edna (she's the one who lives in LV) to come in this June to look after DS for the 2 weeks from when his school ends and summer camp starts. They code share with MW, but I booked it as NWA flight. This way, if MW doesn't fly, NWA will have to cover it.

We're done with them unless I'm flying in a couple of weeks from booking. I don't trust them. Supposedly, they are hiring some people back though.

Cheryl, the beach is called Great Bay Beach. It's pretty crowded but very convenient. For me it's too commercialized :scared: I want more palm trees and less buildings :rolleyes1

Just looked it up when I was looking for Dawn Beach. It is Great Bay Beach.
