Thanks. Doing better now. She did say a nasty cold is going around her office though. Hope she doesn't pick it up. Figure 5,000 people in one place, something has to be always going around.

Yeah there are lots of colds going around and the stomach flu is now going around the hospital too, I don't want it!

Hey, now that dinner is done, have another question: If you have a baked (jacket) potato, do you eat the skin?

I do if it is crispy. I find it better than the potato itself.

I love the skin. Crispy or not.

Ok, prepare yourselves....I have a cruise question..... :woohoo:

Have any of you gone to Trunk Bay on your own??? I'm just interested in your experience. I would REALLY love to go there but there are no Disney excursions to TB for kids under 5. :sad2: Just wondering if all that travel might be too much for a 3 year old. Obviously, we don't know how Kira will to react to anything but hearing about someone else's experience would help me prepare. ::yes::

Both Al and I eat the skin on our baked potatoes. They say that's the best part nutrionally too!

Nope, just to be the best. That was the fastest moving and biggest thread, now we are (fastest moving that is). Just looking to get to the top.

Plus, there were 4 of us on here that were on that thread, but decided to continue posting here instead of there. Much friendlier place here.

So basically, just another game.
Gotcha! We just have different ideas of best, but hey - that's part of what makes us individuals. The friendly part is good!

Charcoal does give good flavor. But gas is so easy.

I like the taste of charcoal but we had a gas grill. Walt and I don't cook out lately. Maybe after he retires we will get a new grill and cook out. I love food cooked on the grill. Diane

I just love this one!! :lmao: Sorry about dinner, just saw your post now...been in bed most of the weekend

It's okies..lol We shouldn't go anyways... cause it is not a healthy choice,...lol

hope you feel better soon!!!

Jeff are those their direct flights? I was looking at Air Tran's site today too to get an estimated price on airfare for Courtney and the latest direct flight out of Milwaukee that I saw was at 2:55 pm, am I looking at something wrong?

Looks like they do change them after September 8th. Sorry about that. 2:55 will be the last one out. Not sure if we'll go that early on Wednesday. DS ends school at 3:30, so he would have to mis about 2.5 hours of school more.

We'll probably now stick with the 7:15-10:56 flight on Thursday.

The other two showing are 11:30-3:08 and the 2:55-6:35. Don't think I want the connecting going at 6:13. It has a 51 min layover in Atlanta and doesn't get in until 11:32 p.m.

Figure, if I book the first one out in the morning, I know, no matter how they change the schedule, we'll be in Orlando by noon. They will keep their 3 flights, just move them a little. That 2:55 may push back as well. Seems really close to the 11:30. Maybe the new routes they're adding to Milwaukee will include a 4th to Orlando and it will be in the evening. That would give us some good options.

Cass we went to Trunk Bay on our own on our first cruise and the only Eastern cruise we have done so far. That was 8 years ago and Rachel was 6 at the time. When we got off the Magic we got a taxi to take us to Red Hook to get the ferry to St. John (very curvey roads on that ride and Rachel got car sick. When we got to Red Hook Al went looking for a place to buy her some gingerale and Dramamine, she is still a little nervous about going again this cruise beacuse of that). When we got off the ferry in St. John we took a taxi to Trunk Bay and played on the beach and snorkled. I kept very close track off the time, there was no way we were going to miss getting back to the Magic in time. When it was time to leave we just gave Rachel more Dramamine and reversed the process. It worked fine! I had extensively researched how to do this on the regular cruise thread before we went.

Butchered first.......I think. It was in December so maybe not.:scared1: You cant' beat the taste. And I like the idea that I know what goes into it. Maybe with all this meat I should have the July 4th party here.

Or bring it here with you. ;)

Amazing isn't it? Those animals are ugly but taste so good. Pigs are really good too. Hmmm....maybe pork chops tomorrow night.

Although, can't beat good lamb chops. :thumbsup2

We went on ths disney excursion, were afraid to do it on our own, we were a group of 12, you have to take a ferry then a taxi. The ferry was very hot. Trunk bay is beautiful and worth the trip.

I have angel food cake with fresh strawberrys (sorry Kathy) for dessert tonight.. a pot of cinnamon coffee brewing..mmm just need my jammies and life is awsome..lol oh and if tomorrow was not monday..lol

How dare you ask a cruise related question here? :snooty: :lmao:

We've been over to St. John, but it was on the DCL excursion. It did not go to Trunk Bay, but I got some great pics of it.

Anyhow, you can take a boat from either the dock we get in at or from Red Hook (which is just across the bay from St. John but you'll have to take a cab there - I hear the driving is crazy though). I would do Trunk Bay on my own just to get more time there at less cost, but since it will be technically going to another island, I want DCL to be responsible for getting me back to the ship. In Acapulco in October, they waited almost 45 minutes for one of their excursions to get back. If they were on their own, we would have left. Just call me paranoid.

The winds could shift and the sea gets rough and some of the boats/catamarans may not run (our first trip to St. T had all the St. J stuff cancelled). There is a car ferry that will run over there, but not sure how much that is for a person or if it ran that day.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help Cass.

Ok just wanted to make sure I wasn't putting something in wrong and missing something. I wish they did have a 5pm flight out we would definitely fly down on Thur. then. We're now debating on the 2:55 flight on Thur. (Rachel and Courtney would need to miss their last 2 classes that day which of course they say is fine ;) ) or the 7:25 flight on Fri. morning. Looks like we'll have to decide soon :thumbsup2

I have a cruise question too! What decks are the laundry rooms on? Is there a laundry room on deck 2?
