Good morning and TGIF!

Jeff, loving the pics. It looks beautiful there.

Bernie, the mountain pictures.......all I can say is WOW! And, my college roommate had a snake so I had to get used to it when I moved in. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Although she "lost" it one night and we couldnt find it for a couple of days. I didn't like crawling into my bed at night, I kept waiting for something to slither up against me.:crazy2:

Investments have already crashed here Karen. Luckily, over 40% of my retirement money was sitting in cash, so no major effect there.

If interest rates go up to double digits, I'll buy US Gov't bonds. Most retirement calculators now only use 8% return, so if I can guarantee that, I'll take it.

Don't forget, home prices fall as well. Think if someone put 100% into a home in CA or FL. They wouldn't be able to get out what they put into it.

Face it, in these times, nothing is safe, but knowing that my mortgage payment will be the same 10 or 15 years from now as it is today is a good thing. I know people who took out 100%-110% mortgages, interest only payments, a couple of years ago. They are the ones who are hurting now. People tried to live beyond their means. That, and the belief that we had to give all people a loan for a home, even those who couldn't afford them, caused this mess.

I understand that everything falls including house prices.. I would just rather at least pay off the mortgage rather than have savings at the moment that are getting hardly any interest. We've already knocked off a couple of years by paying an excess each month and we've only been in the house 1 1/2 years. I would think differently if like yoursleves had a long term fixed, but I'm paying off the mortgage while the interest is so low.::yes::

What the heck, might as well steal one since I'm being blamed for it today. :rotfl2:

:lmao:

HOOOOORAY!!!! After 2 days I have found the screw!!! I breath now and stop crying and wishing I could hide..lol I hate prototyping things...give me a name ... a amount... I point and click..lol

I think Karens plankton trippie helped me :goodvibes I took a break and read it... then within 5 mins I found what I was looking for!! LOL Thanks KAREN!!!:love2: :grouphug:

Woo Hoo! - you found the screw:cheer2: .. I'm glad Planky could help:goodvibes

When I first read that I read it as "Hollywood Studs"!:cool1: And right they are!

I'll be sure to tell Neil you called him a stud - he'll be your best friend for life:rotfl:

I knew that was coming. Karen, you set yourself up. :cool1:

You all are so sweet to think of me and my brother! His departure date from Iraq is 2/14/09 THANK HEAVENS!!!!!! :thumbsup2 Then he'll be back in Hawaii to reunite with his wife. :) I cannot wait for him to be back in the states.

Great news:grouphug:

On arriving for visitation hours I discover Mary is now in ICU. During morning physical therapy she got lightheaded and they discovered there is a blood clot in her lung. They are treating it, and she is stable, if tired at the moment.
This was Marks message on the09 Board

Karen - I love the pictures! Did you say you were taking the photopass photos and getting them printed? Did you buy a cd of them or something?

You can pre-order the photopass - saves you about $30. I also advertised on the Dibb if anyone wanted to share my photopass and had 7 people say yes!, totally legal and so we divided the cost between the 7 of us:thumbsup2

We then all go home and log on to the same account that I set up, edit our own photos with borders etc and I sent off for the disc. I then just make copies for everyone and post them to them. It actually came on 4 cds (we had 1606 photos between us), but it fitted onto 1 dvd.:thumbsup2

You should all share a photopass next Oct if you're all visiting WDW.

After London we are heading up through England touring everything we can see. Then to Sean and Cath's home for a few days then on north of there. Sean and Cath are planning our trip and traveling with us the entire time. I definitely want to see all you UK BOBers while we are there.:thumbsup2

hOW COOL! - Your very own tour guides! - I'll have to get Cath to give me the schedule so we can definitaley meet up.

The epipen we got her cost $150 and it expires July!!! :scared:

HOLY COW!:faint: -now I remember why I like our NHS! Free and I have 6 of them at least. You should take it back to your pharmacy and ask for a new one to be ordered.::yes:: I refuse any that have less than 10 months on them.

Cass - when she gets to school age etc they will probably want an epipen left in school etc. (and ideally you should have 2 because the first doesnt always work, or works for a while then the person deteriorates and a second is needed.) Do you have a method over there to get ongoing prescriptions cheaper? It will be expensive otherwise.:faint:

Thanks alot Karen.:upsidedow

Sorry!:flower3: :rotfl:

ok for starters here is some hat photos..lol

What is a Dibb meet? Diane

The Dibb is the UK equivalant of the Dis.

Great Pictures Karen Neil and Ellis. Diane

Thanks Di

Fantastic Pictures Karen. I really enjoyed. Wish I was there right now with Asiah and Elijah. They love Disney. They really want to go on the seven day Disney cruise but their mom has to save some money. Hopefully someday they will be able to go. Diane

We'll find it harder this year to save too:rolleyes: - I wish Neils overtime would pick up, but hopefully I'll have a teeny tiny bit to contribute too when I get my first lot of wages from school:rotfl:

Morning from a wet and sleet covered UK.

And now it's snowing.

Its been snowing here again since 7am:sad2: - no sign of any thaw yet. I wish we had rain to wash the darned stuff away:sad2:

I have to drive in it tomorrow:drive: :scared: - me no likey that:sad2:

Just getting out of our Close is a hazzard - on a slope with the chance of not being able to stop at the end of the Close and head straight into anything on the other road.:scared: Once we get onto "main" roads we're fine, but the side streets are :sad2:

YIKES! I hope and pray you don't have to use it and that they find out what it was that caused the reaction!!!

She's ok! She had a reaction to something and her face got all swollen and she got hives/welts all over her body. She has a dr appointment on Wednesday, we will talk to her doc about allergy testing.

The epipen we got her cost $150 and it expires July!!! :scared:

DI!!! Did your Texas blood know what the heck to do with that white crap??!! Ha ha!

Does anyone else think that lamp on the wall looks a little peculiar? I suppose if you have enough from the liquor dispenser you'd never notice. :rotfl2:

Very cool! Thanks for letting me know! I think the next time we take the kids, that would be worth doing. I had an accident (waterslide) years ago that caused me to lose my memory. Pictures have always been very important to me but especially so since then.

Cass - when she gets to school age etc they will probably want an epipen left in school etc. (and ideally you should have 2 because the first doesnt always work, or works for a while then the person deteriorates and a second is needed.) Sorry!:flower3: :rotfl:
Our kids who need epi-pens keep one at school.

Morning all! Off to work!

You're right about it looking like Disney....Caribbean Beach, in fact.
Aruba to be exact. It's our favorite "island" to stay in at CBR. :cheer2:

hOW COOL! - Your very own tour guides! - I'll have to get Cath to give me the schedule so we can definitaley meet up.

Please make sure I get included in the schedule. We'll want to meet up as well.

Which is the wise thing to do if the rates are going to go up when you re-adjust. You're actually in effect getting your earnings in reverse.

In our situation, I'd rather have the safety net getting close to zero than paying more in and possibly losing it if the home devalues. Plus, in this economy, it is always nice to have a safety net in the bank in case of a job loss. We wouldn't be able to pull the equity out of the house to easily if one of us didn't have a job. They are really getting tight on loans right now.
